    Some of the comments are funny. It takes almost half the time(compared to regular box braids), it looks better than crochet braids, its half the tension and you can reuse the hair so it's saving more than half the money. They just want something to complain about and dislike lol

  • @jazzygxrlsonly2323
    @jazzygxrlsonly2323 7 ปีที่แล้ว +27

    For the people who think it's extra work, it seems like it but it's not, doing the individuals may take 1 hour prolly a little more of you braid slow or you doing it yourself and also how big or small you are doing the parts. The crochet part may take 1 hour or 2, 2 hours at the most. Regular box braids take 5-8 hours. Keep that in mind

    • @blackangel181588

      the time it takes to do this to each braid and funnel through your actual hair through the crochet braid seems equal to regular box braids

      NappyFu TV I was thinking the exact same thing. I'v seen youtubers with very few subbies do this technique for quite a long time but because they are not popular they are not credited plus their editing and film quality is not as good as the well know ones.To be honest I think everyone has their own spin on this technique but I never get tired of watching the various ways all types of youtubers do their crochet.We are blessed to have these style hacks💖

    • @NappyFu
      @NappyFu 7 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Oh So her video remind you of something you are already pretty much did, You're so humble. Just because you didn't put the video out on time doesn't mean anything. You had the idea already, well based on your old videos that demonstrated extremely similar methods. Nice of you to still give courtesy credit to her. But girl in my book, you the one boo. Lol
      Overall whoever invented crochet deserves the most credit. Look how much it has evolved!

    • @NappyFu
      @NappyFu 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh yes there are alot of good youtubers with great techniques. However, like you said bad video quality and editing or sometimes not the right title keywords. Have the right video quality and editing then throw on the right google keywords and see how viral the video might go. Anyways you are right we are blessed to see these style hacks inspired from each other.

      beeut1 yes definitely better than other videos. loved the way she hide the braid. but I thought the #jazznicolemethod was for the faux locs. I see she got the credit she was looking for but reading her comments is a true turn off esp under someone else page. Very YT unprofessional.

      Faces by Laa gurl... didn't I tell u that Jazz gurl was a fraud... gurl bye... what she want credit for... • @laabellaz
      @laabellaz 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      girl yass. Its sad that her main focus is recognition..in which she got..yet going on other pages demanding credit..she doesn't know who videos ppl saw first...there are so many now..its been months since she first did her faux locs and months later want credit...girl bye.who does that. I was def feeling her at first but NOW idk. she will not get far if she continues this behavior. she is acting like a spoiled child.

    • @beeut1
      @beeut1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      you r so right... it amazes me how someone goes so hard over a hairstyle... she act like she invented cheese... yeah... I was following her to see what methods she comes up with but she has a nasty personality and makes me turned off as well... and honestly I don't see nothing great about her "methods"... beautycanbraid can perfect every method I seen her do thus far and shes humble and I respect her for that...

  • @MsFredericks
    @MsFredericks 7 ปีที่แล้ว +34

    It looks nice but seems like it would take twice as long for crochet braids. Is this less tension vs regular box braids?

    • @tanyyabriscoe1745
      @tanyyabriscoe1745 7 ปีที่แล้ว +27

      MsFredericks There is less tension with this method
      It allows your hair to flow and grow with the braid as opposed to your hair being braided down and your new growth becoming tangled and matted with your old or dead hair

    • @MsLisaLisa89
      @MsLisaLisa89 7 ปีที่แล้ว +39

      MsFredericks A lot of people can't cornrow so this is a great alternative and in my opinion it looks better than crochet braids because they can be lumpy.

    • @MsFredericks
      @MsFredericks 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      MsLisaLisa I'm definitely one of those people! LOL but my hair is past my shoulders, so this option would be like regular box braids....I would do if someone did the prep work for me #ImLazy

  • @glamazini
    @glamazini 7 ปีที่แล้ว +34

    Hey Beauty, question: Typically I associate crochet styles with time-savings but this seems like it would take a long time. Did you find that braiding the base in individuals took longer than cornrows, and if so how much longer? Thanks.

    • @treazurevault
      @treazurevault 7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I'm wondering the same. What's the purpose of this? Maybe I'm missing something. Looks like she did an entire head of individuals, then crocheted a braid on each braid. Definitely not time saving! So it has to be some other reason!

    • @jalainadill3690
      @jalainadill3690 7 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      glamazini this is more for people that can't braid with weave cause this is very tedious

    • @glamazini
      @glamazini 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Makes sense Jalaina Dill . Also Tiffany McKay I actually prefer individual braids because of how they move an that I can get to more of my scalp so that could be a reason. Ultimately it just seems like it would take a long time so I was wondering if it did.

    • @bdavibes
      @bdavibes 7 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      It's faster than traditional individuals, stays neater longer because your own hair won't fuzz out, and it's more protective because your own hair is in plaits/twists.

    I love your tutorials and enjoy seeing a finished head using your various techniques. I do become confused when doing my own hair and would like to ask if you could also show doing a few braids on your own hair so I can see how you hold your hands, the crochet needle to make it look so finished. I tried this but my braids weren't well hidden and I got frustrated.

      In my opinion, the individual crochet braids look neater, more realistic, and do not have rolls and/or humps associated with traditional crochet braids. It's well worth the time difference, if there is any.

    In my opinion this is double the work. What was the length of time installing compared to just braiding?

      Carla Oliver in her info it said it took 3 hours I think for how long the person hair was that she was doing 3 hours is a good amount of time

      Carla Oliver the original way to do it takes me 1hr . It's more flexible this way .

      this is a great option for people like me that can't braid neat and don't have all the braids the same size. You can reuse the hair and it's probably light weight compared to traditional braids. I love it!

    @beautycanbraid have you tried it with the spring twist, I'm not a box braid kind of girl/women. after your first spring twist tutorial I fell in love with it. that is the only weave I put into my hair.
