Great video! Whiting is where I grew up learning how to ride bikes as a kid. I'm super glad it's finally open again. I'm glad you went up and hit sage scrub, that's my favorite dh in Whiting.
Thanks man! It's such a good spot to dial your skills! I also get shocked by how many people don't make the climb up and hit sage scrub too, because it's not too bad of a climb and makes it all so much more fun!
Great video! Thanks for letting us know that WR is open again! Do you think I can bring my 10 year old on this loop? He uses a Specialized Pitch Hard Tail.
I think it really just depends on his riding level already! If he’s had some experience on it already and knows what he’s doing on his bike, this could be a great loop for him to progress on! That mustard climb is a tough one though! ;)
Cactus trail is gonna be pretty hard on a hardtail since it's so bumpy which often leads to, although not dangerous riding, pretty nervewracking and uneasy riding
Another great video bro
Thank you man!
love the video, i’m watching this because i’m going with my dad tomorrow and i want to see what to expect lol
Hope you had fun man!
Wooo! Ive been waiting for this trail to re-open - now I know! Keep up the sick vids!
I’m psyched too! Thanks man!

Sage scrub was so much better before those switch backs at the top, still a ton of fun though
Do you have strava?
I do not currently but I’ve been thinking of getting one!
I think u crash more in your intro then I’ve ever had🤣
The intro is barely even scratching the surface haha
Great content man love your vids. You’re pretty good with the mtb w/ 1 year of experience. Do you have a bmx background or anything like that?
Thank you my man! And no actually haha, I never got into really anything biking until a year ago!

Are dogs allowed?
Not sure actually!
Ride the new trail In Santiago oaks!
It’s by the jumps
The new trail at Santiago is short but definitely fun!
I've gotten to hit it a couple times now! It's super rad!
how long did it take for you to complete this full ride from the time you left the parking lot?
I’d say it took about an hour and a half!
did your dad take the ebike in ? any trouble with it in the park?
He did! He was doing just fine with it in there!
They're not permitted at whiting. I've seen people get tickets there
Either hikers or bikers should be alloed on the trail. Not both
It can definitely be hard to safely share trails like these... especially in a place as busy as whiting.
