Thanks for reacting to our Mikochi's first fully animated MV!! We're all so proud of her for coming so far in these six years. Her music is great too and is often filled with her affection for us fans.
It was a really fun MV to watch! You could really tell how much thought she put into the video, even as someone who may not understand all the references!

@@Laverick_1 Well, I can try my best to give a cliffnotes version of the references as best as I can remember them! 🌸
So at the very start sequence, in order, these are the references:
- Gomoku RTA
Gomoku is basically a 'first to five' type of board game. Miko challenged Fubuki to it as her first time ever playing and.. managed to lose in 23 seconds - such a record time that it became a headline in Yahoo News. lol
- A reference to Miko's various outfits as well as the pokemon grind streams she did trying to get a shiny Fuecoco/Hogeta.
- Hand Holding
Miko did a vertical stream where she was counting up to a new subscriber milestone. In this she had it set up so that it looked like she was holding the viewers' hands.. and then aggressively insisted she wasn't going to let go until they hit the milestone, even as chat insisted on being released. lol
- Any driving stream with Miko is described by 35Ps (her fans) as putting one's life in danger. She has a natural gift for crashing cars and causing pileups even in games where that isn't the intended purpose (or even outcome) of the gameplay.
- Spam 'F's in chat.
- No idea. lol Most folks I've asked are similarly confused. General assumption is it's a reference to Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei's opening.
- Miko's GTA avatar
Miko's GTA streams are the stuff of legend, especially her Karaoke Car Chase streams.
- Sakura-Iro Dreamer
Miko released a short visual novel based loosely on her humble beginnings of aspiring to be an idol. It was cute.
- Resident Evil reference.
Specifically that Miko likes pudgy things, and we sometimes poke fun at her for being baby-like.. So naturally pudgy child meme of her running around with the healing item was inevitable.
- Handmade phone wallpaper that Miko made for us lol
- Someone literally sent Miko a baby rattle. She now uses it when she's tilting or stressed - as well as to cheer when something good happens or when wishing a 35P happy birthday. Also when she told people the type of rattle and design, it sold out online. lol
- The infamous humidifier incident. Honestly, look this one up yourself, it's comedy gold.
In terms of the overarching theme of the video it's based on Miko's "real world" doppelganger, Mikodanye -- the mascot character who has proclaimed she intends to take over the world. On numerous April Fools occasions Mikodanye has abducted Miko and taken over her channel. A comedic angle to this is that 35Ps are usually pretty okay with it and like to dote and fawn over Mikodanye, to the point of Miko yelling at us for being disloyal. Mikodanye herself has expressed that she hates being locked up in storage for entire year-long stretches at a time only to be brought out for events like the HoloFes.
Other things that crop up throughout the video include:
- Miko's love of double-cheeseburgers.
- Her The Shining watchalong (the hallway and the HERE'S JOHNNY scene)
- Mikodanye replacing Miko in all of her major and most popular MVs.
- Holocure (Giant Mikodanye)
- Miko summoning Kintoki (her original mascot and 'Senpai' to 35Ps) and Maguchi (her latest magma-monster mascot) to fight Mikodanye
- Jumping out of a chopper (GTA)
- Miko's ARK raft song
- Another GTA reference to heists and shootouts
- FREEDOM LADY (Miko's English lesson with Kiryu Coco)
- Not sure which one this is but it involves lava, which is basically par for the course with Miko.
