- Welcome to Town of Salem 2! Yes, that’s right, THE SEQUEL. This game feels like a prettier version of the first game, minus a few UI issues. There are a lot of hilarious animations now and we tried out a role called the Soul Collector in the last game! We had a blast playing and will definitely play again soon! Enjoy!!

They should let admirers be in love with each other, but only if they propose at the same time
I agree! Such a specific situation that it's not that overpowered. Plus they have limited lover heals, I think.
Edit: It should auto accept, too. True love or something xD
And if that happens they gain permanent basic defense on top of the 2 cures for powerful protections. Becuase the power of love.
I think otherwise, because it'd be funny to have admirers get into a poly relationship.

The main problem is that the admirer wins with the one that accepts them. Admirer themsef have no allegiance or win condition, meaning that being an admirer with another admirer has no win condition or team. Having to code something for that situation would require a complete recode of how the admirer works, and for a gimmick thing like this? Not worth the development time needed to do it.

medium ceased to exist in tos2??? aw noo :( i thought ze's lobby (chilled's lobby, technically?..) just disabled this role cause they don’t like it or something. is mafia simply gone, too? just googled it, it is. man. what. eye opening moment. they took mafia from The Mafia Game. i mean, it makes sense, since its name’s town of SALEM, not town of sicily. sorry for rambling i’m still in shock

@@oserty nope, no Medium, and you could say the mafia was replaced with the Apocalypse members, Vampires still exist, but they are relegated to their own game mode, as well as a mode named Wandering Souls where you have 3 Curse Soul roles, and the objective there is for those who are the Cursed Souls to swap with someone before the game ends, because you can't win as Cursed Soul

@@thederp9309 Medium is probably one of the most fun roles in a friendly setting, helpful is 50-50. The problem Medium had in this lobby is either the Medium died first, or Junk and Vikk did and went afk. Otherwise it was absolutely chaos.
next time you are a jailor, you can fck with jailed people's mind by writing _"has decided to execute @player"_
(or whatever is the message that pops up when the jailor decides to execute)
The execute message ahs a special background so anyone with more than 2 braincells would know its fake. then Again Looking at this lobby that may work.

That was the funniest admirer round ever lol.
Those were some truly wild games. I can understand Ze's dilemma with his fear of the Ritualist, but if you're on the stand and refusing to reveal your important role I can see why you'd be voted out. At least the town managed to come together after his death to get the rest of the Coven. While it was sad to see dead so early in round 2, I loved the Ze-Larry rivalry which sprung up and I consider Chilled winning with Ze's role a spiritual victory for him in the end lol. And then watching the Ze-Larry shenanigans continue in the next round with the Admirer's debacle was so funny! I don't fully know how Admirers work and if they could ever have been in love together, but that should definitely be a feature if the game is updated, as should Admirers being allowed to love bad guys! All love should be supported in ToS 2, no questions asked! XD Overall this was another super fun session and I'm glad you're able to get such great content even if the games don't always go your way, Ze!

im here to answer the important questions. wench DOES mean prostitute. it also does mean young woman. both are archaic uses of the word so it is likely both uses of the word originated at a similar time.
It predates the word prostitute. The version for young woman/girl was later and was/is actually more demeaning version. It either means woman servant, what is debatable if it is more demeaning.

One is from either old high German wankōn to totter or old English wancol of the same meaning used around the same time, shortened to wencle meaning child in Middle English and then wench which went from meaning female servant to any low class women or woman of African descent(derogatory). Where prostitute originated from the old Latin prostitutus. Old high German was first documented approx 500CE, where as Latin goes all the way back to the 7th century BCE so the Latin word most definitely came first. Most men would use some form of prostitute as that aims towards use where women view them as sexual competitors. A wench is more in the later camp as it adds disdain.
I feel like the cross-admirer thing is bug. And in general, with the downsides of being linked and possibility of toxic relationship, I feel like their heals should be infinite.

15:25 This is a typing game and Discord is an overlay. If the players were not talking, they would notice the tells, like blackmailed or when the round is about to end that the music gets abrupt.

Overlapping executions most likely. From Ze's side, the client is executing a proposal to Larry, while from Larry's side a proposal is being executed to Ze. Since Admirer takes top priority in terms of what can be done during the night though, this forces the two to cover each other and result in a default afk answer, which would be decline.
As the ToS2 turns, so does the gavel. 😢 True love does stink. And the admirers should fall in love. They both protect each other and figure out other people's roles.
This was the most fun lobby ever to watch on stream.

You can always tell if you're blackmailed if *you can't type in chat* 🤦♂ ... Just pretend to try to type in chat. That's all. I suppose for streamers using a chat outside of the game there could be an additional option added to signify status ailments like dreamwoven or blackmailed. I guess you could argue either end of whether or not devs should waste time on creating that as an option or the creators should take the time to look at (and type in) the chat box.
The idea is that even non-creators might play in discord calls sometimes instead of using the game chat for lobbies. It's more convenient for the devs to add one single and more obvious message for being blackmailed than for every person in every lobby played over calls to check every day
@@tortillachips3911 True, but this game wasn't created with outside communication in mind. In fact, I believe it's a bannable reason if caught using communication outside of the game to give info you're not supposed to be able to give (although I think they *only* care about racist/offensive names or any rude behavior more than cheating via. communication. Not saying they won't punish that, but it's probably low on their priority list to be honest...). I'd question why they don't just have mic chat through the game, but some games should just never have mic potential for obvious reasons.
@@masterkevkev No, it's not bannable for normal public lobbies. I'm uncertain about ToS2, but if it's anything like ToS there should be ranked lobbies with a preset role list. This could be considered an offense, as there's actually something on the line. But in general? That'd be alarming if you could get banned from a game you paid for, for well.....speaking?
What's more Town of Salem has made a name for itself due to it's many years of content creation, so how minimalistic it is in showing what has happened is definitely a fault of the devs. Many large youtubers started with this game, and even come back to it. There's not a single reason to assume it'll be a 100% text-only game.
@@LilyMaeBlossom The communication outside of the game isn't a ban of just "speaking" - it's a ban of telling a vigilante friend who is a coven member - or telling someone who's the jailor who the werewolf is because you visited them day 2 - so they can safely kill them day 3. Which is obviously not allowed nor fun to play against (hence my departure to the series in the first game running into too many people doing that exact thing). If they allowed voice chat in-game, it'd be used inappropriately and would be hard to moderate outside of doing something like Overwatch 2 is doing with recording audio (and some game that's all text-based that was first based off using a browser... probably doesn't have the server room to handle all the audio recordings or even transcript them automatically).
It is safe to assume they intended it to *only* be a text game, so that whispers would have to be used (for certain roles to be useful), blackmailing could be perfect (instead of how these players play it - where they'll muffle or make noises when in reality: you - cannot - speak. Period. Doesn't matter if you're being voted up, or talked about, you can't say anything or hint about anything) and actually powerful if used on correct individuals. In voice, people take control of conversations (instead of it being an equal mess in the chat for everyone to decypher), and can hear tells on if they're lying or not (even if they're a good role). Some people just suck at lying, I won't name who in the group though 😅... but through text you can't pick up on said clues.
I'd also say that for some devs it seems really difficult to put VOIP in a darn game... I can't state if it truly is difficult or not as I have not done that myself to any game/project... but can it really be that darn difficult if some basic indie games can pull it off?
But even through all this - I highly doubt they even look into punishing anything outside of racism, scamming, and inappropriate/vulgar language. It ain't that popular of a game to warrant attention to all offenses 🤷♂... they left blackmailing to simply prevent chatting because that's all they intended the players to use. Hell, the Among Us mod initially didn't have the red-coloring on the blackmailed person. They had to add that in because too many streamers/players were not paying attention to see if the "Shh!" animation popped up... can't bloody stare at the screen when a body is found huh 🤣?
@@masterkevkev Again, this first part is why ranked lobbies exist. There's been a concept of casual play with a couple friends and randos versus a true blue Town of Salem experience for years now. There's no reason for them to go back on it. Frankly ranked does a good job weeding it out.
Again, I could care less what it is safe to assume, they know they got this far because of how big this game got for streaming. Chilled alone has been making content on this game since 2015, and the amount of people that joined in or watched him is no small amount. Then you have creators like Jerome, and these aren't Town of Salem mains, just channels that were big on it.
So they've known content creation has been a big part of it for 8 years, they pitch this game to streamers as soon as it's ready, andddd they have no visual indicator. That's an oversight no matter how you look at it.
What you should have done or do if this happens again is fall in love with the same person that isn't each other. XD

Kara is wrong, wench can mean prostitute, it was a earlier name for it, it wasn't even a demeaning word, she is the 1 who is demeaning the word and those ppl who have that work. It has been used as a female servant, that can be debatable if demeaning version. The young girl/woman came later is actually the more demeaning version for it.

When it became a word against young women/girls in general it was used a lot against young girls who showed a bit 2 much skin out in public for its time like even an ankle or collarbone. So of course a woman that is topless (like many who came from Africa were) would get the word used against her.
