Whoa, and on that "less pleasnt" comment, I want to say that while we do need Patty Alonzo and people like her with that level of artistry; your true strength is in creating wearable looks from the palette while giving truly *spectacular* verbal descriptions on everything from the composition to the inspiration of these brands' offerings. As a long time subscriber, I can honestly say that everything that I have purchased on your recommendation wasn't about copying a look that you made, it was about feeling the inspiration and feelings that you had about the product as you described it vividly and with passion and enthusiasm that got ME excited about the product. Actually, I think is great she did apologize, because it shows how willing she is to be open to criticism and at the same time not let that criticism bring her down or even make her bitter and instead respond back gracefully. That’s true positivity. I’ve seen some TH-camrs in here literally lash out at comments that weren’t even intended to be rude (although the one she got might have been intended in a negative manner) and be super rude back to the people watching them (some might even have been fans). I think her graciousness really shines through responding in the way she did in this video. Kudos to her for being the bigger person and responding by showing more of her artistry in an instructive manner. That’s how you slap back without more negativity.
I don’t think you need to explain. You are an amazing artist and I enjoy your content. Your looks are beautiful and your reviews are thorough. You are as every bit as good as patty alonzo. The thing is, to some people you’ll never be good enough for because you aren’t their cup of tea but those of us that love you are just perfect. I'm a long time subbie and usually never leave comments, however I had to let you know that you are absolutely incredible. Your eye looks are always SO lovely, achievable and attainable and as a result your looks inspire us "regular shmegulars" to try them. In addition I could totally see myself wearing your looks out into the real world, unlike some of the other looks that other influencers create. Nothing against their artistry, just not practical for the world most of us live in. Love that you're open to feedback...that commenter should have kept their views to themself though. I love Patty Alonso and the looks she creates are fantastic. However, they would never look the same on me…. I’m medium skin tone, so the shades translate different than on lighter skin. I like your looks because the are more realistic and closer to what I can achieve.

I really enjoy your looks! Most of the time, they are something that I would try to recreate, but they always demonstrate the performance of the products. I have been watching beauty videos on TH-cam since... I dunno 2007 maybe 2008? I've never wanted to recreate 100% of anyone's looks! I come to you to see the truth of how products perform. No offence but ... nahhh, just kidding 🤣 ... what I really wanna say is that you inspired me to buy the Metropolis Palette last year and it ended up being my best makeup buying decision ever. I'm an eyeshadow newbie and I follow your looks religiously. I also sincerely appreciate that you do try to respond to DMs even though your fan base is growing. I cannot imagine TH-cam without your presence.
My joke is when I purchased the Metropolis palette in Christmas of 2019, it was the palette that started a whole addiction lol in a good way. It was my first expensive palette and my first Natasha Denona palette. Ty so much for this tutorial as even though I still pull this palette out every year, a different set of eyes always gives me new ideas on how to use this palette, as all of the colors can be overwhelming. As for the “dull” comment, don’t feed the trolls. Sadly, I’m finding folx on this platform are getting much meaner in the comment threads, which I find so disheartening, as I use my palette/makeup “addiction” as a respite from the “troll” culture we have to deal with in our countries’ politics, which is another way I use this platform(to watch news). Keep up the amazing work Alicia;)
Metropolis could definitely be a gateway drug for Natasha 🤣 I find that the worst comments are the ones that are not blatantly mean (because those are easy to ignore) but ones that hold a negative experience for the viewer. Maybe it’s because of my customer service background, but I would feel terrible that my content was taken as deceptive in any way. I truly thought I did an ok job 😅 Thank you for the encouraging words, and I’ll keep at it!

Wow, I am sad that person felt the need to attack your skills. It literally breaks my heart. I don’t know why, but I am tearing up, on your behalf. Why are people so mean? I think your skills are on point. I particularly like your descriptions of the formulas and how to apply them. Eyeshadow looks are about preference. I like simple looks on most days with one or two shades. I change up my color scheme, but I use the same technique.
This is my favorite ND pallet. I thoroughly enjoyed this palette in the duration of time that I owned it-so much fun to use and had great memories with it.

Metropolis is one of my favorite ND palettes because of the versatility. I used to travel with it because it has every shade I could want. I've had mine a couple years and am/was hoping to get a new one during a sale 😒 I loved Demo 3 and didn't think it needed a do-over.

Personally, I do follow some editorial type makeup channel’s because the looks can be fun. But I MUCH prefer channels like yours that show wearable, gorgeous looks. I really enjoy your descriptions of textures and undertones. It makes me feel special using the same palettes with the same unique shades that you show.

Natasha certainly created Other Palettes from Metropolis - Bronze regular and mini, mini nude, mini glam, baby gold, mini metropolis, mini gold, and mini lila. Original Metropolis now sounds cheaper than the minis.
Yes, I would also go crazy over a lila/neutral/cool midi Metropolis size!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤ The only big one I have is Biba, and I'm just never going to finish any of the shadows. I love the midi sizes, just what a regular consumer needs!

Actually, I think is great she did apologize, because it shows how willing she is to be open to criticism and at the same time not let that criticism bring her down or even make her bitter and instead respond back gracefully. That’s true positivity.
I’ve seen some TH-camrs in here literally lash out at comments that weren’t even intended to be rude (although the one she got might have been intended in a negative manner) and be super rude back to the people watching them (some might even have been fans). I think her graciousness really shines through responding in the way she did in this video. Kudos to her for being the bigger person and responding by showing more of her artistry in an instructive manner. That’s how you slap back without more negativity.
I don’t think you need to explain. You are an amazing artist and I enjoy your content. Your looks are beautiful and your reviews are thorough. You are as every bit as good as patty alonzo. The thing is, to some people you’ll never be good enough for because you aren’t their cup of tea but those of us that love you are just perfect. I'm a long time subbie and usually never leave comments, however I had to let you know that you are absolutely incredible. Your eye looks are always SO lovely, achievable and attainable and as a result your looks inspire us "regular shmegulars" to try them. In addition I could totally see myself wearing your looks out into the real world, unlike some of the other looks that other influencers create. I love Patty Alonso and the looks she creates are fantastic. However, they would never look the same on me…. I’m medium skin tone, so the shades translate different than on lighter skin. I like your looks because the are more realistic and closer to what I can achieve.

I really enjoy your looks! Most of the time, they are something that I would try to recreate, but they always demonstrate the performance of the products. I have been watching beauty videos on TH-cam since... I dunno 2007 maybe 2008? I've never wanted to recreate 100% of anyone's looks! I come to you to see the truth of how products perform. My joke is when I purchased the Metropolis palette in Christmas of 2019, it was the palette that started a whole addiction lol in a good way. It was my first expensive palette and my first Natasha Denona palette. Ty so much for this tutorial as even though I still pull this palette out every year, a different set of eyes always gives me new ideas on how to use this palette, as all of the colors can be overwhelming.
As for the “dull” comment, don’t feed the trolls. Sadly, I’m finding folx on this platform are getting much meaner in the comment threads, which I find so disheartening, as I use my palette/makeup “addiction” as a respite from the “troll” culture we have to deal with in our countries’ politics, which is another way I use this platform(to watch news). Keep up the amazing work Alicia;)
Metropolis could definitely be a gateway drug for Natasha 🤣 I find that the worst comments are the ones that are not blatantly mean (because those are easy to ignore) but ones that hold a negative experience for the viewer. Maybe it’s because of my customer service background, but I would feel terrible that my content was taken as deceptive in any way. Wow, I am sad that person felt the need to attack your skills. It literally breaks my heart. I don’t know why, but I am tearing up, on your behalf. Why are people so mean? I think your skills are on point. I particularly like your descriptions of the formulas and how to apply them. Eyeshadow looks are about preference. I like simple looks on most days with one or two shades. I change up my color scheme, but I use the same technique.

Personally, I do follow some editorial type makeup channel’s because the looks can be fun. But I MUCH prefer channels like yours that show wearable, gorgeous looks. The looks you create for yourself with any palette always look amazing on you.
Natasha certainly created Other Palettes from Metropolis - Bronze regular and mini, mini nude, mini glam, baby gold, mini metropolis, mini gold, and mini lila. Original Metropolis now sounds cheaper than the minis.
Yes, I would also go crazy over a lila/neutral/cool midi Metropolis size!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤ The only big one I have is Biba, and I'm just never going to finish any of the shadows. I love the midi sizes, just what a regular consumer needs!
Side note: If you appreciate the Era, I highly recommend the movie Metropolis
