With my Clara comp and JY comp I can safely say that I only need a proper Lightning DPS in the future instead of Nihility. Hopefully Raiden can be that in the future so I’ll save for that and will fine-tune JY until then.
@@vinhinh6810 What I meant is that I already covered my bases in terms of lightning DPS for now. Can’t say JY is the strongest but he gets the job done. Usually physical weak enemies and lightning weak are separate. I don’t have any DoT characters or Sampo so building them now would be a pain. But most of all, we don’t know how future characters will shake things up.
1 more important thing if you plan to run serval + kafka it is crucial that she has to hit hard since she does more damage if enemy is under electric dot and since both kafka and serval extend dot timers its super important that serval has the stats to hit really hard since she will be the one getting front loaded damage most of the time
dot characters in most games are easy to gear for cause all you need is attack% chest speed boots and whatever other sets n stats you want usually heaps of effect hit rate from light cones so you can even go break effect if you want. Downside to dots not being able to crit you won't be seeing any jing yuan and seele crits haha
The best thing about dot characters is that (most of the time) their damage is pure unconditional. Characters like seele and jing rely HEAVILY on crit rate and damage. Most hyper carry dps also really want their light cones where Kafka would probably prefer her, but it isn't absolutely necessary. Big example for the light cone is probably blade. His light cone is by far his best option and the others aren't even close. I would like to get Kafka's light cone but if I don't there are others that would fit just fine on her. I will say though that a stacking speed buff is pretty nice.
it's better to wait for an actual showcase if she is worth it to pull or not especially if you are an f2p and need a character to carry your account if you are having a hard time with your current dps
I kinda don't understand why people say Fermata is not that useful for her. Doesn't her follow-up attacks help her break faster to make the break effect buff worth? The DoT teams especially with Sampo or Luka basic attack quite a lot so they're gonna be proccing Kafka's follow-ups very often, no? And Kafka can pop that Break DoT and the bonus damage to enemies with Shock/Wind Shear is like 100% on all the time.

I'm f2p (for now at least) and I've saved about 75 pulls for kfka since the start! I don't personally focus on meta or the details of characters and just pull for the ones I like, but this was a super informative video nonetheless! :]
The only problem I have with her is that to maximize her damage you need the team to be all max lvl. I can't do that, most of my Moc team is still at 60
That problem will be solved with time. We'll eventually max our main teams and they'll be popping huge damage. The game is only 3months old, there's no rush

My current struggle is i got Seele in about 80 pulls, then 20 more pulls towards limited 50/50 and that puts me in a situation where i will pull for Kafka F2P with 190 current tickets but i have no Sampo and an E1 Serval so if i end up getting Kafka early I don't know how much deeper i should continue to pull into the banner. I want Kafka to be good but knowing if getting an additional Eidolon on someone like Sampo could make Kafka even 15% better would make me put more pulls towards it. Sleep like the Dead and an E1 Bailu are all i have to show for the standard as well, so the future of my account having 2 functional teams at the moment depends on how the Kafka banner pulls go. If i have to go to full pity and lose the 50/50 i almost feel like that would be better for an E6 Sampo potential, but if i were to get Kafka early with only an E2 sampo for example, i'd be tempted to throw more pulls down. I'm really not sure how to proceed.
Right but as a F2P every pull decision i make will affect for example if i can pull a Jingliu later. If 50 Kafka banner pulls make her 30%-50% more useful and effective then i'd be fine with doing that. But if i'd only be getting a minimal increase i'd rather stop at 1 Kafka 1 Sampo etc but until playtesting i'm stuck mentally on when the right spot to stop pulling would be. Wasn't sure if maybe someone here may know more about the numbers and theory crafting since that isn't something i'm used to dealing with.

Never pull lightstones. Never pull for 4 stars. Go for 5 stars, then stop as soon as you get what you want, then farm until next 5 star u want. Playing same team long enough is stale, so your always going to want new characters. Start caring about eidolons only after you cant beat MOC with FULLY built teams, max level max traces max lightstone maxed relics with 4 good rolls each. There are gonna be broken asf characters later on so you dont wanna spend on eidolons. Best 5 stars are the ones that change the game, like selle or sw. Kafka is not game changing, just playstile changing.

enemies that cleanse, I got fed up of my poison stacking getting cleansed on multiple enemies on epic seven abyss, and that was with a f2p 3* , let alone a 5* limited character. Not going to fall for that again... also like you said high eff res enemies screw you over and make every run a rng fest that Im also done with. DoT gameplay is a huge gamble and in an already luck enviroment game like this is even worse. Im going full skip on her and all DoT characters currently available, maybe 1 or 2 years down the line when we actually have options I will try them out of boredom.

If you haven’t don’t bother to summon for kafka cause of the resource she gunna take, but you going to have to build those character for her team in order to even be decent. Which take a lot of material. Also she got hard nerf at e0 and LC got nerf too. From the leak she is very LC dependent since it help her trigger her ability and all that. I mean people are already saying she will be average at launch but better as other dots character releases, so this means that in order for your 5star character to work, you'll have to wait, and have the luck to pull the following great dots char, and THEN ONLY she will start to be good, seems like a long stretch just for a gimmick. So my advice for people and precisely f2p, invest in any char you like, or for a character that is good when he releases, not for some promises of a "great future-proof I swear guys she's the best" Best example of this is when people started saying that Seele would be powercreep by JingYuan so they didn't pull for her, and waited.. yeah, that turned out great for them right ?. (Don't get me wrong jing is a great character, but he's already being powercreep by Blade, which is still not beter than seele soo..)
As a Seele + Silver Wolf haver... I'm saving to guarantee my mono quantum with the preservation unit in 1.2 ..... having said that if you NEED more units, Luocha is a more flexible unit for sure. and since you have silver wolf you can pretty much focus on Seele for DPS.

I think it's much better to go Qingque, Lynx, Seele and Silverwolf and wait for the quantum harmony character which even her name leaked already. Fu Xuan is not really needed nor worth it especially if you want Kafka. You can always use Qingque as a second dps rather than her. Hell you should be doing that in memories for sure For me I will pull Kafka even she was the weakest character in the game because I love her character and she is one of the most important characters in the story which we will always see her no matter what planet the story goes on. Also I really want to have Kafka and Silver Wolf together. So she is a must for me

But if you or anyone really wants Kafka they should pull for her...... I personally always play with a shield.... Blade seems more optimal, although he's very reliant on a good healer. Kafka is more pretentions when it comes about her team and you need all said characters well built and maxed out, which although in time you'll achieve that goal, it'll still take plenty of time to do so. Blade is more friendly, even if we don't have the best equipment (lightcone) that are friendly with his HP scaling, I can only wish you get his own lc early. Blade only needs a healer, Natasha is alright if you have no Bailu.

Not buying the analysis. Firstly, if you run kafka with 3 dot characters you're not running sustain or buffs. Realistically you will be including a character with sustain, and right now there arent many sustain (preservation/abundance) characters that interact with DOTs. Off the top of my head, Gepard has a frostbite effect if enemies are frozen, but not sure how that interacts with Kafka. The arguments for Kafka as a long term character should be the following: 1. Dot playstyle does not care about crit, making farming relics easier 2. Dot playstyle utilizes characters that most other teams don't care about (sampo/luka), making teambuilding easier in MOC as it frees up other characters. However some arguments made in the video doesn't make much sense. The argument is that Kafka enables DOT teams meaning that if more dot characters are released you can use them with Kafka. However, the opposite is true where the majority of characters released won't be DOT oriented characters and thus won't work with Kafka. While Kafka is a character that gets better with more released options, so do other carries as they get more tailored supports. A similar comparison to genshin impact is that Nilou is a great character if you want to play bloom teams. Any released hydro and dendro character gives Nilou more options to play with. However, every released character also gives every other team options too. Nilou is NOT f2p friendly as she really needs certain 5* characters to go from an ok team comp, to a S tier team. Rather than being more universal, the characters that work well with Kafka are actually more limited. Furthermore, Nilou works poorly against many matchups, especially in single target. In Kafka's case, its quite easy to build anti-nihility bosses that have self cleanses. This is not an argument against pulling for Kafka, but I really do think that the argument that Kafka is f2p friendly long term is misleading. If dot is a playstyle you want to play, then this is a character you should not skip out on. But for general pull value for a f2p, I wouldn't rate Kafka nearly as highly as a Seele or Luocha.

I mean people are already saying she will be average at launch but better as other dots character releases, so this means that in order for your 5star character to work, you'll have to wait, and have the luck to pull the following great dots char, and THEN ONLY she will start to be good, seems like a long stretch just for a gimmick.
So my advice for people and precisely f2p, invest in any char you like, or for a character that is good when he releases, not for some promises of a "great future-proof I swear guys she's the best"
Best example of this is when people started saying that Seele would be powercreep by JingYuan so they didn't pull for her, and waited.. yeah, that turned out great for them right ?. (Don't get me wrong jing is a great character, but he's already being powercreep by Blade, which is still not beter than seele soo..)

As a Seele + Silver Wolf haver... I'm saving to guarantee my mono quantum with the preservation unit in 1.2 ..... having said that if you NEED more units, Luocha is a more flexible unit for sure. and since you have silver wolf you can pretty much focus on Seele for DPS.

I think it's much better to go Qingque, Lynx, Seele and Silverwolf and wait for the quantum harmony character which even her name leaked already. Fu Xuan is not really needed nor worth it especially if you want Kafka. You can always use Qingque as a second dps rather than her. Hell you should be doing that in memories for sure
For me I will pull Kafka even she was the weakest character in the game because I love her character and she is one of the most important characters in the story which we will always see her no matter what planet the story goes on. Also I really want to have Kafka and Silver Wolf together. So she is a must for me

But if you or anyone really wants Kafka they should pull for her...... I personally always play with a shield.... MOC will change depending on who they want to promote..so I wouldnt pull based on that.

Blade seems more optimal, although he's very reliant on a good healer.
Kafka is more pretentions when it comes about her team and you need all said characters well built and maxed out, which although in time you'll achieve that goal, it'll still take plenty of time to do so.
Blade is more friendly, even if we don't have the best equipment (lightcone) that are friendly with his HP scaling, I can only wish you get his own lc early.
Blade only needs a healer, Natasha is alright if you have no Bailu.
well after 75 pulls I still don't have Blade so Kafka is a given.

Not buying the analysis. Firstly, if you run kafka with 3 dot characters you're not running sustain or buffs. Realistically you will be including a character with sustain, and right now there arent many sustain (preservation/abundance) characters that interact with DOTs. Off the top of my head, Gepard has a frostbite effect if enemies are frozen, but not sure how that interacts with Kafka.
The arguments for Kafka as a long term character should be the following:
1. Dot playstyle does not care about crit, making farming relics easier
2. Dot playstyle utilizes characters that most other teams don't care about (sampo/luka), making teambuilding easier in MOC as it frees up other characters.
However some arguments made in the video doesn't make much sense. The argument is that Kafka enables DOT teams meaning that if more dot characters are released you can use them with Kafka. However, the opposite is true where the majority of characters released won't be DOT oriented characters and thus won't work with Kafka. While Kafka is a character that gets better with more released options, so do other carries as they get more tailored supports.
A similar comparison to genshin impact is that Nilou is a great character if you want to play bloom teams. Any released hydro and dendro character gives Nilou more options to play with. However, every released character also gives every other team options too. Nilou is NOT f2p friendly as she really needs certain 5* characters to go from an ok team comp, to a S tier team. Rather than being more universal, the characters that work well with Kafka are actually more limited. Furthermore, Nilou works poorly against many matchups, especially in single target. In Kafka's case, its quite easy to build anti-nihility bosses that have self cleanses.
This is not an argument against pulling for Kafka, but I really do think that the argument that Kafka is f2p friendly long term is misleading. If dot is a playstyle you want to play, then this is a character you should not skip out on. But for general pull value for a f2p, I wouldn't rate Kafka nearly as highly as a Seele or Luocha.
