Late comment, but if you like seeing fanservice at every turn, then go ahead. Don't be like the show and take it seriously; turn off the brain.

The main character will switch from serious to pathetic back to serious in later episodes. Do not be fooled by his behavior in the 1st episode; that was peak Takashi.
Another warning: The other characters suck. Most of the girls are terrible harem-bait.
- Rei becomes a bitch after her boyfriend is out of commission and then pretends like she was nice from the start, and causes a lot of useless conflict later.
- Saeko is probably the best girl. She's cool, competent, smart, and sometimes flirty. Her only problem is her backstory. She killed a guy that tried to rape her before the apocalypse, she suddenly remembers this, and then the show tries to make it into a "commentary about morality and ethics"... even though she had no problem killing any zombies before...
- Saya is a useless tsundere. She doesn't learn how to fight, she's bitchy for no reason and at the stupidest times, and she doesn't know how to shut up FOR ONE SECOND so that zombies don't come for her. The show tries to make her seem like her intelligence makes her important, but she mostly states the obvious or calls everyone around her an idiot. Ironic. She has the biggest stick up her butt in my opinion.
- Shizuka is just as useless as Saya. She's an airheaded nurse with no knowledge on nursing or even a basic knowledge on how to live period. She only knows how to drive, as if any of the students couldn't do that themselves.... The most use she has is that she is conveniently friends with an army member. Imagine being so useless that the most merit you have is with a miraculous connection to someone with the most ideal equipment for a zombie apocalypse...
- Hirano is the best guy. His obsession with guns and his ability to utilize projectiles makes him almost overpowered. He also knows when to not pussy out of certain situations. Unfortunately, he is in love with Saya because her bitchy attitude and insults motivated him to try and survive by using his skills. And he doubles as the "perverted best friend trope" sometimes. But he's basically the quiet kid that's secretly a school shooter, and I love him for it.
