Bass and cymbal distortion, especially on You’ve Got Another Thing, is very likely in the original performance. It’s unlikely to be from excessive recording levels or the Shure MV88 stereo mic, which is specifically designed for loud music. My guess: the bass is overdriving the left PA into clipping, smashing the cymbal transients along with it. I applied multiband compression in post, which somewhat masks the distortion artifacts.
I am lost for words. Beautiful.
Megan reminds me of rocker chicks from the 70's and 80's. Beautiful voice and the real stage presence. Then she wears make up and is sexy just like yesteryear.
