Pyramid was amzing! Stayed with my fiancé and then recommended it to my then future mother and law, and she’s loved it as well. And she is picky, trust me this place will not disappoint.
@Flp1914 I HATED IT!!!!! My room was the last room on the 2nd level of one of the rear blocks. I booked ocean view, but had to look over a giant roof and to the side of the other building just to see a strip of sea. The pool was too cold to enter. The food left little to the imagination. All of the nice restaurants required reservations which were all booked up everyday. The peacocks were pretty and lounging on a hammock in the daytime was PRICELESS. Overall, the place is beautiful, but its just too big and requires a lot of walking to get anywhere. My friend and I are older women (40+ community). Younger people might enjoy.
Hello! With the Ka’an master suite do u get the exclusive restaurants and bars for free? Did they offer you a jacuzzi tub in the terrace I’m looking to book and for that room it says there is one?
hi, we just stayed at this hotel and had the vip black bracelet (when you stay there you will know what im talking about) overall the hotel is very nice but the bathroom glass doors from the rooms are extremely uncomfortable you can literally see when people sit on the toilet, there is no privacy in that sense. I had to use the bathroom with the lights off every time which made it very uncomfortable each time. The food wasn’t great in the buffets and the pool’s water was extremely hot (maybe because it was mid July). The night life and entertainment is excellent and its a very nice and fun place to walk at night. Some of the waitresses where not so polite but i guess they all seem to be overworked by the hotel so I can’t blame them.

For anyone watching this and thinking of booking. The resort was fun and beautiful but the only thing I enjoyed eating was the chicken tenders and fries at the placita. Everything else tasted like it came out a card board box. One night we stepped out to the downtown area and omg I was so excited to eat tacos. I shouldn’t feel that way while staying at an all inclusive…. Even the fruit was bland idk. However the drinks were good! The price is decent.

I like that it mentioned about the kids club and kids area near the pool. One question: What about the ocean? Are there a lot of waves? Is it ok for small kids , under 10 y.o.. thanks again!
Thank you! Glad you found the video useful. As for the ocean, you might have very strong waves one day, then relatively calm the next. But in general this part of Cancun have big waves. Might not be perfect for small kids, but I saw many kids 8-10 y.o. in the water with parents supervision.
They have a part that is for adults only, meaning that there no kids in that area. But you can move around the hotel and use any facilities, including family pools if you want
Hi thanks for sharing. As a vegetarian family, will i struggle with options in the buffet restaurants? Im going for my anniversary and 50th birthday so hoping for a good celebration, but I keep reading not so good reviews after booking so debating whether to change it. What do you recommend please?
@@emiliaa8132we ended up changing our hotel to Grand Oasis Cancun. I'm so glad we did as it was in a better location (by the strip, nightlife, shops and other areas). Couldn't complain about anything really. Also when heading back home we saw the Pyramid hotel, it was way out in a deserted area, no tourist shops - not for me. I need life around me when i step outside. It looked rundown. It's a massive complex, so not sure I'd get 1-1 great service. Also beach on that side is known to have more seaweed. So glad i had changed to go up to Hotel Zone.

Is there a difference between the pyramid building and the grand oasis? Does it matter which side we stay in? I also read some people mention to get the black wristband in order to enjoy the full amenities. Do you know anything about this? Finally, are the restaurants reservations only?
Glad you found my videos helpful. Pyramid and Grand Oasis are different buildings in the complex. Pyramid it’s the central main building in the resort, more expensive and automaticity have black wristband that let you access to ALL restaurants, clubs, and bars. For me, no difference you can just stay at side building but pay for upgrades to black wristbands. Make sure you have them; and yes, even with black wristbands you'll need reservations for most restaurants. Doesn't' really matter which side to stay in.

I agree with those reviews, the food was average, especially buffet
was the spa included or additional cost?
spa is at additional cost, but some packages/room categories might include 1 or 2 basic treatments, better confirm with the hotel
How walkable is it outside of the resort?
You can walk on the beach, or on the other side you can walk along the main road. It’s walkable, but not much to see around
