Why does the ideology of freedom from government overreach need to be linked with race? Don’t we all have the same goals of freedom?

Exactly my damn point in my comment! Why are they linking race to intent. Also I don't see how some crazy white supremacists from the 70s have anything to do with what's happening today. People desire freedom, and they will go looking for it.

There may be an enclave of people in N Idaho that are racist but I have lived here for 10 years and seen no influences of it. There have been protests of the government shutting down business because of covid but that is going on all over the world. I have seen no signs of racial discrimination and I know how people end that. What goes around, comes around and when you forgive others, you see them the same as you are.

I don't really know anything about the redoubt, but I do know one sided biased reporting when I hear it. This whole piece failed to actually reveal the full story about anything that they brought up. And it was very obvious they chose select pieces to weave a negative overarching narrative. I have come to expect all human beings regardless of creed, color, or gender, to have a propensity for evil. The big question to me is does their ideology allow acknowledgement of that and allow for corrective efforts. Part of that is a respect for truth. You cannot characterize and judge that which you will not admit. That principle usually cuts both sides in a dispute. And that very principle causes me to call into question the reporting.
If I was to make a judgment from what I've heard so far, I would have to say, "why don't you leave those people alone and let them have their version of America, you don't have to live there."

I'm curious why an electric car's carbon footprint is larger than a Caddilac to build. I'm curious what you're going to do with that spent battery? (they don't recycle and are toxic) But what I'm most curious about is why they are being crammed down our throats? Of course, they are the future. We all want a greener planet. Trees eat carbon. Go plant a tree. I'm curious why China is the largest producer of everything based upon EV, but builds a coal fired power plant every day. Lemmings follow lemmings, not Joe Biden. The national news has been reporting on the massive and rapid increase in home costs due to the influx of out of staters. I'm not necessarily opposed to people wanting to move here but there are very real repercussions for us.

The goal for global investors is to price 99% of Americans into homelessness. Why else are global conglomerates buying trailer parks in Kansas and charging poor people $800 a month lot rent to park their trailers there? How many thousands of dollars would it cost to move their trailers out to some sandstone, treeless plain without electricity, gas or water? They can't afford to maintain them where they are, so the investors charge them to demolish their busted trailers, and mail the bill to general delivery. Homeless people are hard to sue, I guess.

Trump lost, simple as that....his own chairman confirmed it, all the states certified the results and William Barr himself resigned when Trump asked him to throw-out the election....all based on NO EVIDENCE OR PROOF. It happened and Biden won because Trump just went too far and you either subscribe to the Big Lie or just accept it because you don't want to see a democrat in office. I have lived near this area for 20 years and this is the first I am hearing of the Redoubters. I've seen trucks with the Trump flags parading around town in CDA, but I've always considered it a bit of a mixed bag politically, somewhat leaning towards democrats. You get further out of town and you see the prepper types, though they do come to town to pick up supplies. I did hear about the initiative to expand Idaho. The reporter made it sound like it was a push to gather white people together. I had never heard of that angle, alot of Idahoans would be surprised to hear that. Must have been a dog whistle that only reporters can hear. There are plenty of people in Oregon and Washington that are tired of government policies coming from west of the Cascades. I don't know what that has to do with race. I don't mind the negative publicity, don't need more people coming. It seemed like the reporter was trying to create something that isn't there. The gun talk seemed about right. There are a lot of guns here. I do appreciate The Times for bringing the Redoubters to my attention, even with their obvious axe to grind. It's bad when you do a hit piece, and the object of your derision is more credible than the reporter.

You’d have to be purposely ignorant if you don’t realize white nationalism is an aspect of this political ideology. Sure most on the far right aren’t going to go to the extreme of recruiting more whites, but decent honest people have told me about the growing white supremacist element over the years.
I’ve heard co-workers openly laugh about shooting Mexicans crossing the border. They share TH-cam videos of black people “getting owned”. I’ve heard one use the n-word when they thought their conversation was unheard behind a closed door. When the BLM protests happened across the nation they talked about arming up to stop the potential “looting” despite the black population in town being nearly non-existent, mostly upper middle class, and the town being like 80% conservative. If you are black in this town it’s 9/10 chance it’s because you are working for only the major industry.. No one black moves here to be a bum or a criminal… while a large chunk of the white population are unemployed and/or drug abusers.

They’re going to do the same thing to Idaho and Texas and the people that live there don’t want it to happen. If you look at this doc thru that lens, it is obviously one sided. You sound like one of the people that hasn’t been paying attention to what’s going on. This is just like the rest of the media where they might show both sides but they try to make it look like the right is just a bunch of extremists or like their beliefs aren’t valid. You say to open your mind…you need to open your eyes my friend.

And that comment sounds like it came from a person who was brainwashed from birth and hasn't traveled to the places he spouts off about. Oh wait! You must be American. 😁 see, we can all play this game. And here's the thing. I'm british, English, I live in usa, I love it, and this scottish guy is a left wing nut job calling them far right extremist. The reason I can say that, is because, contrary to what you've been told your entire life, my country of birth never gave up on its freedoms. All the things you are told the workd us jealous of you for, exists elsewhere. The right to own guns, yes! I have a friend in the north of England who has 4 of them! Another lie you've been told. The queen does NOT rule the country, the government is elected, another lie you were told. The list of lies all Americans have been told is endless. This country, usa, is beautiful, truly beautiful, the people are lovely. I've seen no racism, I've seen no hate. I have seen some bigotry but thats based on ignorance, so I don't get angry.
Freedom of speech and expression exists in other places too! Provided you aren't inciting racial hatred. Here's the thing, blm in uk would be in jail by now for doing exactly that. Weird how this works isn't it? You have rights, but you also have responsibilities. This country is great, but no better or worse than a hundred others. Your leaders are no better in worse. What is absolutely worse here, is your education, or lack thereof. Your education is propaganda pure and simple. Whichever side they teach. You are taught wgat to think and believe, instead of being given facts and encouraged to think for yourself. This is the reason most of the world thinks Americans are stupid. You aren't stupid at all, but you are very poorly educated and misinformed. This man calls them hard conservatives, they aren't, they are like 65 million people living 4000 miles away in britain. And actually, there are far fewer liberals over there than here. Hence why britain has a conservative government and the left haven't got a look in for many years and are unlikely to anytime soon. They aren't racist, they aren't sexist, they just want to live their lives in peace, just like these people do. So please, stop tarring everyone with a different accent with the same brush. Britain didn't create BLM, and antifa, that's your department. Britain wants none of them. And this man saying guns are outlawed is absolutely lying to you. The reason most in uk don't have guns is they don't want them or need them, that includes the police. Its different here. And I support your right to own them. You DO need them here, because you have a police force that can't help you. I also do believe the election was rigged, as do most people in britain, and THEY CAN talk about it, unlike here. So who's got the least freedom of speech?
Try to stop thinking of everything in Boston tea party terms. The world moved on, you should too. I agree with mich of what these people say, but the continual banging the drum about independence that YOU WON 250 years ago, is getting old and no longer relevant. Anything happening now is of usa making. To keep going on about this is like blm telling you you owe them for slavery and segregation that happened to no one they know before you were born.
Hes right, the government is screwing everything up, but his immediate reaction is to go full tackleberry on the subject and jump off the deep end.
Try to be less bigoted in yoyr view of anyone that's not MURICAN. It creates an impression that you are ignorant. And in 21st century there us no excuse for that.

A rig to tap into the VAST natural gas reserves under the Donbas region of Ukraine, and connect to Putin's/Russia's four gas lines under Ukraine, to replace 30% of Russia's commodity based-export, GDP... and become the new kid in town supplying EU with natural gas.
Meanwhile, our U.S. taxes pay the FBI to protect the Biden mafia, locally... raiding Mar-a-Lago, desperately seeking Trump's documented proof corroborating Trump's RICO corruption charges against Obama, Hillary, Biden, AND the FBI, in that Russian hoax, that'll quite likely spill over into investigating the Deep State's mega-profit venture in Ukraine.
