Median salary is 65K. Says a lot about income inequality in our country.
Aap gye ho kya
Median is a truer representation. Snd its not a livable income
Median includes part-time workers so it depends what we are measuring. Some who work part time get family tax benefits.
65k definitely livable as a student on 20k you can make it work, if you have dependents 65k becomes a stretch I agree @@monstertoy4620
It's not inequality, inequality is when people being treated differently, it's just choice of job

Average salary $60k it’s wrong $92 k
she meant $92 AU dollars
The average salary is 92k. However the average is pushed out by billionares. The median salary is closer to 65k
92k AUD
She didn't mean USD
Sorry@@davidlp3019
Mean and median are different. Mean includes bourgeois, median is a truer representation.
average income does not represent average people. i work 50 hrs per week for 72K and i feel privileged among my friends
In Australia even if you earn $180,000 , all you get is $9000 per month. The taxes are enormous.
That’s why we learn tax evasion with “expenses”. F this government 😂
LIE!!!
$92,000? Which Australia are you talking about 😂
60k in america if ur from there :3
@@ROKKINGQUOKKA-gb9hr I’m actually in Australia that’s why I’m asking which part I’d like to go to that part 😂
@@Ondraythe1 ooooh ok :3
@Ondraythe1 mining bumps every pay Rate avg up
@@Ondraythe1 She is talking about AVERAGE salary, not median. Average would include all those billionaires and multi millionaires and of course, our charismatic and generous (to themselves) politicians. This skews the figures. Always take the median salary which I believe for Australia is around $60,000. This excludes the outliers (both high and low)
To the people saying, “there’s a bunch of poor people here”, I agree but, the salary provides enough to live comfortably like food, rent and groceries. Plus there are poor people everywhere, have you seen NYC? The amount of homeless people will shock you. We are not a poor country. We are also one of the most developed country.
Of course there are a few exceptions…
Yall talking about poor people 😂, come to Kenya
I got $10 bucks...born and raised
The housing crisis and cost of living(both government controlled) are too high for around 70% to live comfortably without assistance.
It's even worse in canada and US.
It's the same every where right now. @@MrDeano-eu9rg
wealth inequality is appalling here

Don’t be fooled, taxes are high too
How much is income tax % per month?
@@northgirl77 It depends on the level the level of income for the year, for a salary of 60k 20% tax is charged
Taxes and just about everything else. Mortgage, council rates, water rates, food, grocery.
Does the high tax % pay off? Infrastructure, safety, healthcare
average salary is $92k in AUS? yeah keep spreading BS
Median is 60k , nobody is earning 100k, lots of poor people here
tbh seen a lots of payg people making 6 digs, some $200-300k line regardless of industries, even more if u run a business. Something like Hays report helps u grasp how much ppl are making. There are a lots of rich out there too bringing up the average.

But Specialist doctors earn more than 400k AUD easily they are top 1% earners
Taxes are enormous as well, but there is other upsides like public healthcare is covered by the government until you’re 18.
At this rate, being a single parent is the most screwed up situation
$92k is a pretty good salary by global standards. Most people would consider themselves in heaven with that kind of salary.
How's the scope and availability of full time jobs after a master's degree in CS (related to AI and Computer Vision) in Australia?
my q. is the same as yours
No jobs for the IT industry in Australia since many months because Australia doesn't have large and new businesses so if during the initial phase of hunting job u don't find anything then don't expect much in upcoming time also because in Australia a number of jobs are limited unlike large economies like US or India or China where we see a lot of changes in job market giving some expectations but in Australia it's a slow growing country with limited opportunities in IT and Data Science related domains related too as mostly things are outsourced and contractual even in IT industry so if u r not just skilled but extraordinary and well equipped market skill person with excellent communication skills then only come for IT roles here otherwise u will end up doing some other jobs and not related to ur masters field giving u less PR points and longer waiting yrs to achieve it.

How to find a job?
Average salary in my country INDIA is 200 dollars (Engineers, office jobs) per month so anually 2400 dollars gosh we r so poor
That is because in Australia, only the ones good at and really interested in engineering become engineers and almost all stick to their fields after studies. While India churns out 1.5 million engineers a year, all of utterly low quality, and almost none of them do any real engineering jobs after graduation. None of them get their hands dirty, all want some cushy office jobs in a managerial role. With that attitude, I wouldnt pay them any more than $200 a month either.
@@seansteel3326 You are wrong man even smartest of smartest engineers get paid that much . Average and median are two different things
The size of income is not the key factor...how much does it cost to live in Australia is the point. Please do your research about Australia, all that shines is not gold!
I don't think so and I've lived in Australia all my life, it would be nice to get paid that much though
So there currently more gen z living in Australia then boomers and gen z so the Real average wage is 20/30k a year

Almost double that of America doing the same job. Despite the fact the US dollar is worth more, we Aussie's still end up able to buy much more with our weaker dollar 😂
What do you mean, America is better or Australia for earning purposes??
@@happylife7716 Aussie's typical make double the money doing the same job. An American working in Macdonald's for example, would earn roughly $14 an hour, in Australia someone doing the exact same or very similar job will earn up to $28 to $35 an hour.
