- The second major update to the game has gone live today, adding Skirmish Mode to the game. A series of 10 escalating unique fights, one of which you get to play as the Lost faction. Each DLC adds one set of 10 with the free content being the Lost faction set of 10. I'm very excited to try out the new content!

I see they have been busy indeed but honestly, I don't really like "skirmish" modes. I was hoping for a continuation of the story or I hope to be able to use your game group at the least in these dlc's
There will be a new season coming out for the endgame, but that doesn't expand the story. I don't really know what to expect for DLC content story wise. Given how the game currently plays, I'm not really sure what direction they could go.
@@maxxalos1267 to me, it sounds like they were planning to have seasonal gear with soul merchant. I think the idea was that every few months, they would update soul merchant with different items and have varied end game stories based off alignment combinations. if you look this game on steam charts, In may 2022, it had 1,800 players and then it lost 50% of its players. so in their head, updating the game makes no sense because there is only 400 players playing the game.
Basically continuing story costs money because you need programmer to code and making movie scenes requires acting and going to studio's. they figured that nobody really going to be buying the dlc, so they just cut the end game content to these random skirmishes which were likely expansions for each true ending to the story.
Moderate difficulty is refer to marksman in the game. At one point dev stated they wanted to rework marksman in the game(because they're practically useless in hard and above) but just like making extra expansions, that costs money for programmer to rework skills/update values/change items. So instead of doing that, they just reduced difficulty. If you actually use marksman in moderate, they can complete story mode.
In the end, my prediction is that they will not make anymore expansions because its not profitable and there will likely be no more seasons except 1st season. If they do make expansion, it will likely just be like conclusion generic expansion the story like "yay we defeated fomorians, avalon is saved". In term of marksman getting reworked, probably not happening either because once again its not profitable and you can just reduce difficulty.

Off topic, I finished the original game and mini campaign on hard. I was able to get all the challenges as Christian/Rightful except the one where you buy all the upgrades in the Magic Tower because it requires Old Faith level 3 for one of the upgrades. Is it even possible to get that and still max out Christian? That would require 6 more points (3 in both directions), so I’m assuming you cannot do both. Any idea? Is there achievement associated with getting all challengers?
The challenges that require getting all the upgrades don't include the alignment specific upgrades. At least they didn't when in any of my previous playthroughs. Those are meant to be sort of bonus perks for the alignment. There are no achievements for unlocking every challenge in a single playthrough.
