Very nice restoration 👍 The only thing I would have done also is wash the mainboard. Not a problem normally as long as everything has been removed from it, including the CMOS battery, and it is dried properly :-)
Good job, nice to see that this computer is getting a second chance, although I heard that Intel made some Pentium IIIs that were cartridge style like the Pentium II, that would have been an upgrade if it's compatible.
@@Shyzah I guess it doesn't matter much, nowadays there's not much that you can do with a Pentium III compared to a Pentium II, and if you're not just nostalgic for Windows 98, the programs you would want to run (with the exception to DOS stuff) would perform better on a Windows 2000-XP era system. That being said, this system does probably work great for MS-DOS gaming because of Windows 98, which is something that doesn't work as well on NT systems because they run on a totally different kernel and junk.
I have a GXa and i believe the FSB is locked to 66 so only Pentium 2 up to 450... however, there were Celeron slot 1s that ran at 66 fsb, ti think these went as high as 433. Its possible you could get something called a `slocket` adapter that converted socket 370 to slot 1, and these had jumpers to select the fsb, thus this may open up the possibility to use socket 370 celerons that run at 66 fsb but if you try a 100 or 133 fsb cpu it wont work i believe.@@Shyzah
