When tiering Pokemon based on... edibility, Pomu comes up with some odd reasonings. And Selen has to act as the tsukkomi. Kind of. Sometimes, she just reluctantly follows along.

It's funny they're bringing up intelligence and sentience when all Pokemon are sapient. They all fully understand human speech somehow.
Arbok would probably be tasty, snake meat is good and Pomu's attempt to justify eating Grimer warrants a "inedible but Pomu would try anyway" tier

@@markjacobs3232 What I said holds true- as for Pokemon eating humans and Pokemon, that generally holds true across the board too. Western localizations and more modern media have shied away from mentioning it outside of Pokedex entries though (which themselves are often dubious). All are technically canon but no one likes to talk about the implications of it.

It depends on what context you are based on. If you are based on Anime, sure, every Pokemon can understand humans. But if you are based on games or manga, no, most Pokemon are at an animal level. They have the reaction to their training words but can't understand the words (this is why you need trainer, if Pokemon are that smart, they can battle on their own). So no, not ALL pokemon are as smart as humans, especially from the original concept.

There’s actually a book in Pokémon platinum that discusses this. It’s in the library at the port town(not the snowed one). It was a lord slaying Pokémon to “fill his larder”, and what happens is the next year they have all left. He didn’t kill them all, but they basically left humans, and he wept at what he had done. So basically yes eating of Pokémon can occur, but isn’t a good idea due to pokemons reaction. Pokémon eating other Pokémon is more nuanced.
Also, some ways to eat Pokémon are fine, slowpoke tail for instance naturally fall off and regrow and is a common delicacy.

In my (totally) professional opinion, Arba looks like it'd cook like a crab. So I'd eat it.

If Pomu are a Grimer or Mul, she’d die. Fairy types are weak to Poison.

Ah, so i see Pomu is a GERMAN fairy. Probably ate someones child when she was a baby and took their place like a changeling.

@@alexbrigl2089 German fairytales are notoriously very fucked up and dark. Though Changelings specifically aren't German, they're Norse mythology

@@sackfu7952 ohhh now I get it. Yeah the original folkstale versions were much darker than what the Grimm brothers depicted them as... 😂 When somebody outside of Germany mentions it its mostly a WW2 comparison so I was a bit confused when the Nazis ate children😂 also I didnt know what a changeling was but now it makes much more sense
