I kind of wish you would do more Wreckfest videos in general, they're always so entertaining, because as you frequently point out, while Wreckfest has a great damage model, it does allow for really close racing, where not every time you bang doors someone goes off into the scenery.
I like the "Destroy First Place", but too often there's the whole 'no, you first' action. How about a long, long race with "Destroy last place"? Motivate everyone to move it.
It would definitely make it more fun and interesting to watch. Some of the FR members try to lead, but everytime Alex is in the lead/can take the lead, he refuses to do so unfortunately.
After what Alex said at the end, I have even more appreciation for the effort that goes into these wreckfest videos. Thanks to all the filming crew involved for participating in this, always fun to watch!
An idea that i don't know how it's gonna go: - Have a very distinct and far slower than the rest car that's gonna be a "honorary bus team member" their only job is to race. - This car cannot be targeted by both bus or car team. - its only job will be to set a pace or a deadline to the race so no parking lot racing occurs. - if they win, bus team wins. I think this has potential to crate a further balancing game between speed and safety.
This is a good idea, but its a very difficult one to implement as the supposedly safe rest car will be a victim of friendly fire as its impossible to control the bus wreckage potential completely.

Yeah, that's the cowards way of just sitting there, stopped, brakes on and letting others slam into you or being forced to go around. Definitely needs to be a rule that you're not allowed to do that!
Great to see another Wreckfest video. Have missed these. If the bus is in the lead you can do a lot of damage to them by T-boning them. More damage is inflicted to the slower car typically.
An idea to correct for the underwhelming "don't be first" strategy: add an extra bus targeting the healthiest. Another one: for the first third, the buses target the healthiest; for the second, one bus targets the healthiest and the other targets the first; for the third, both target first.
For more carnage at higher speeds, try doing destroy 2nd place. 3rd and lower can't cower as you'll be letting first place get a massive lead. Of course though, your objective is to win the race not just survive it.
There was a game in the early 2000s called test drive eve of destruction. The best race was called the gauntlet. You had one stronger vehicle trying to make a certain amount of laps while everyone else in weaker cars tries stopping them
The old ps2 game- test drive eve of destruction had an event called gauntlet where the player was in a durable hearse and the goal was to survive 5 laps of a circuit with the rest of the pack trying to take you out. Could be great fun with a full pvp lobby
One variant to avoid the parking lot race would be a point race. Every lap gives points to the podium (5,2,1 to make the lead worth it). If you DNF you can still win.
I love these. Alex probably won’t see this comment cuz it’s 4ish months after the release of this video. But this game is something similar to what some of my friends used to play on forza 4 we called shepherd. The main difference was when you got in first you ran like your life depended on it. You didn’t just give up first cuz you didn’t want to get hit. That’s where dodging skills comes in handy. I would like to see that rule change. If there was a way to time who was in the lead longest in the event everyone dnf that would be good.

Have you heard of the recent F1 car mod for wreckfest, the Missile R? Maybe a mini tournament in F1 cars in weckfest across various tracks could be a lot of fun!
new DFP rule: any time someone stops to avoid taking the lead, everyone else gets to drive to their house and punch them in the neck... anyone who's led a full lap gets to give 2 punches
i like the wreckfest vids but just hanging back during races is kinda boring to spectate. I know its a strategy but its still not the most exciting thing to watch.

Its really entertaining watching them do "proper" racing in Wreckfest. The cars got good enough handling and the damages makes it really fun.

What about "Destroy the Podium" and they can target the front three cars. When it gets down to the last 5 they can attack them all.
I think what should actually happen is, anybody in the lead who pulls out and slams on the brakes should also be targeted too.

I prefer a "normal" interference race, where the buses can target anyone except last place. Chaotic and competitive.
