The cheap aftermarket $10 mufflers like on eBay don't have the baffle inside. I bought a couple to potentially cut apart to do just this. They're just the shell, no baffle, but look extremely close to OEM. They braze just fine also.

Cracking job you done there, so you brazed with plumbing torch and brass rod, I didn't think that will work. Well done. I might try to.

Hi yes you can do it. Used internal fluxed rod and Profi high temp blow torch. Works a treat. I’ll do another video on the brazing soon as I’ve 262xp exhaust I’ll modify. You can do it 👍

Thank you for replying, I will definitely try with MAPP gas ant Rothenberg torch, I have couple of projects myself and always scratched my head how to braze them. All the best.

Brazing and soldering is to different things. A braze will work on an exhaust.

did you have to do carb work for this muffler mod?

You adjust the H and L as normal to get a crisp saw. No special carb mods are needed.

You can thank the EPA for that crappy muffler design. Those saws are choked up badly from the factory.

Yes when you think it’s a 70cc saw it’s completely restricted. You can do it 👍

Your saw sounds a little too rich, I always err to that side though. I strongly suggest the other pro air cleaner stuff the intake tract is longer with better flow.

Always set it a little rich until I set it up in the woods as better that than lean and someone uses the saw forgets to set it up properly and melts it. You can do it :)
