Always fun to poke around a car that is VERY new to you. Parts can be tricky to find, but immersing yourself with the community will pay dividends. A lot of people out there to help and who are happy to see one of these live on!

Mate you need to watch broken Quattros channel he’s got lots of parts for your car. He’s a fellow TH-cam in the USA like you. Love the car I have one in the uk. You need euro front and rear bumper if you can get them will make the car look awesome.

So much nostalgia!! My first car was a clapped out '94 audi 90cs quattro sport 12valve v6. Oh how many hours I spent dreaming of a 5cyl turbo swap... I can't wait to see what you do with this one!

    Jake,
The Audi (probably) has twin radiators. My dad had an 1984 Audi 100(5000?) 5 cylinder diesel, and it had twin radiators. This engine layout and the ancillaries look very similar.

I may be able to help with the loss or power. I have a B2 Coupe GT 2.3 over in WA and during season changes It would start first crank always, but would not want to rev past 4k and would backfire obnoxiously. Check the Knock sensor for corrosion or rust, that was the problem with mine when it seemed to go into a limp mode. Swapped it with a junkyard VW sensor that had the same plug and problem solved. The Road salt just tears them up and they're located kind of in a vulnerable spot. Hope that helps!

Trust me man, that thing will rip like nothing you've driven. In my experience the drivetrain in these things is rock solid and you wont be ordering anything major to keep that 5 cyl happy and healthy. Please don't 1.8t swap it, if anything, turbo it.

You should be able to use a mk1 shifter base as a cheap upgrade and to help the slop . All you'll need other than the part is two beer bottle caps lol. I have done it on my old b4 and was so damn nice and super cheap

Mk3 golf/gti/jetta front seats fit. I suggest finding euro recaros from a 2 door

Hot start problems are usually fuel pumps. Right?
Make sure to get a Bentley repair manual if they have one.
I would start by checking fuel pressures during cold and warm.
I’m pretty sure these cars are pretty similar to the 90-92 16v cis-motronic
Edit: nope. Fuel system not similar at all lol

Change the fuel filter, my GTi will do a similar thing when at temp. Its probably getting plugged by old dirt and gas.

Euro models Came with 2.3 5 cylinder NG motor 2.6 V6 and 2.8v Te cheaperst vesion was 2.0 ABK model with 4 cylinder inline. The last engine was similar to golf GTI endine but it was mounted perpendicular and the engine block was taller. I have two Cabio 2.3 NG and 2.0 ABK very nice cars

I feel like a 07k swap would be pretty proper for one of those.

Been looking to add one of these to my vag classics- to be honest just my opinion you was better off spending a bit more for a good body and interior. - you can get a nice 20 v 5 cylinder in the Uk for 5k with under 100 k miles in good condition

If you swap out the 5 cylinder to a 4 cylinder is it still a Quattro? Haha

    • @JakeRawSon
      @JakeRawSon  3 ปีที่แล้ว

I think you should just sell me the car. I have everything for that car. If you don't want to sell, then there are lots of enthusiasts with parts.

I just looked back at my photos and you will also need to make a plate to go under the base . Still very simple and cheap . If you need photos or insight let me know . I'm @vwarmy on Instagram . Have had quite a few b2/b3/b4 audis in the past and know lots about them. Was also an Audi dealer tech for 10 years so very Familiar with everything Audi
