      @@cassiellightman Mr Lightman, I live in South Africa.I believe the person who posted this lives in SA too. EBay is not an option here. The only products we have here are those cheap plastic speakers or the very expensive ones. There is nothing like this on the market. I cannot buy the tools and build myself because i dont have the space nor the tools to have a workshop. I am speaking based on my own circumstances. I don't understand why you would pass such scathing judgement on me to call me extremely lazy. I don't know how you were raised but please show some respect and decency.

      With this build no MIniDSP was involved. The bluetooth amplifier board has an built-in crossover set by one of the pots. It's easy enough to tune by ear, but I tend to take measurements with my microphone and software to get the optimal crossover point.

    Hey dude! nice video! I am planing to build a speaker by myself soon, and I wonder if it this speaker that i'm gonna build. I have a question: Is the speaker showing a nice clear volume? And what is the best speaker to play music (in a 50 sq meter room) If I wanna build a speaker with the clearest sound by your builds or knowledge?

    • @SoundBlab
      @SoundBlab  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +AndreasChristensen#DK Thanks! This speaker will be fine for that size room. Just one thing, this design is more suited to listening to music at moderate volume and not a party boombox, although it can go very loud. The port will make some noise at very high volume, but it was designed that way as 3/4 volume is loud enough for most occasions. If I had to illiminate the port noise, the enclosure would be much much bigger. So it was a compromise.

    • @ac5589
      @ac5589 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      okay thank you for answer! I just have one more question. In the build plan for this speaker, does there follow instruction on what parts are gonna be soldered? Because I have now bought the parts, and I'm new to this so I don't know what is gonna be soldered and where.

      The site is working. Maybe try again when you have a moment. Might have just been a temp time out or update. Let me know if you keep struggling to get on.

      It is a resin dome badge. If you Google it you should find a supplier in your area.

    I want to say, "Huh ok for him with his fancy workshop and all to tools to go with it" but I can't, because he's a craftsman and all the tools in the world are no good without the know how. So instead I say Darn fine job Sir.

      Thanks man! I have been very fortunate to be able to acquire various tools over a period of 20 to 25 years of my life. It takes o long time!

    Hi do you think it would be possible to fit the 2.1 arylic upstream amp to this instead ??

      @SoundBlab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Arylic board is slightly bigger, but I’m sure their is space inside the enclosure to make it fit.
