RIP Dean
You were the best that ever was. I know you will climb all the way up to heaven and make it.
His footwork technique for this is amazing.
All I kept thinking about while watching this, his technique was super creative...interesting thinking about how you would go about it and if you would ever think to make a small change like that? Shows just how good he was, it's those slight ways of adjusting to a route that can make you great
+Jabukufo tried this technique recently on a lieback corner. Makes liebacking significantly easier, really rad technique!
Falling 60 ' has to hurt when the slack is gone. Then to repeat 15 times shows how determined Potter climbs. Nerves of steel !
One of the best
Legend R.I.P x
Jampacked 4 minutes
I have to say some balls taking a fall like that on trad! Fair play man!
Damn thats terrifying!
Bad blood towards the end I suppose, but there was never a more dynamic duo. Legends. Steph and Dean.
ahhh, the man with a premonition of death by falling !.
The best part was when they showed his face covered in chalk right after saying that......I think dean potter needs an intervention ^_^
@gredinCZ Though falling controlled can be one of the most wonderful feelings ;)
@gredinCZ Dean is such a hero! :D
Rip Dean brother you died doing what you loved dude at the top of your game🤟🏼. Does anyone know the name of this song please playing in the video? Thanks
Heres track listing in credits, clap your hands say yeah, chaz mortimer, carrie tree, drew allport, nick pavey
Still doin what you love not many of us can say we are living the dream.
What a beautiful man he was I’m so in all over Dean Potter. He was a beautiful man and I enjoyed being his fan, watching his tight rope walker and is climb
Does he use cams or nuts?
anyone know the name of the climb and grade? i cant find it
Guasalcoatl Don't quote me on this, but I think it was 13d...I can't find the info after a cursory search myself...
I really don't like seeing all these Alex Hohnold comparisons in the comment section. What this guy is doing is pretty spectacular. I hate to see people who have absolutely no right, detract from someone else's climbing accomplishments. It's an arbitrary comparison, free soloing is just not the same game as sport climbing
It is spectacular but this isn't sport climbing either is it?
ste bostock sorry yes realized my mistake, not sport climbing
LUKE rush Still love a bit of sport climbing every now and then though!
Why are you so against Honnold?? Your wifes boyfriend is a huge Honnold fan
0:16 crack addiction
hahahaahahahhaah
Anybody else needs there chalkbag ?
I get the same kick from fuckin...
Ask me how i know you have alot of melanin in your skin
The use of a piton would disqualify it from being a free climb FA, since pitons are considered aid equipment.
Kons Shreds A fixed pin is not aid if you don’t aid on it. In other words if you don’t weight it and just clip a quickdraw it is still free climbing
Steph is such a hottie
Dean Potter was hotter!
She ended up cheating on him...so idk dude
@@whiteyfisk9769 doesnt mean she wasnt a hottie tho right
@@maddoxbromley6426 fair enough i guess bro lol
