Shin's Tetsuya (Fumihiro Awano) sounds like an amalgamation of the original (Keiichi Noda) and Kaiser (Hiroshi Yanaka) Tetsuyas. It seems the anime crew for Shin knew what they were doing.
To be fair, that's the case with the anime as well. So you the credit goes to Shin Mazinger anime team.

Super Robot Wars V one was my favorite attack.
同じサンダーブレークでもこんなに違いがあるのか。
基本的な設定では頭の突起(耳？)からカミナリを起こして、指から放つなんだけど、
TV版OPだとカミナリを耳経由で指に集めて放っている(IMPACTなど)
Z劇場版だとカミナリは直接指に(αⅡなど)
TV版・劇場版で頻出のカミナリを起こす描写がなく耳にカミナリが落ちてきてる(MXなど)

Late reply but yeah it's a reference to one Great Mazinger manga where someone made an army of MP Greats. In this manga Tetsuya sacrifices his life to kill I think it either Ankokou Daishogun or a revived Doctor Hell I forgot due to how long it's been, by overloading the Great with a massive Breast Burn that was the inspiration for the Kaiser Nova. Just look up the Gosaku Ota Great Mazinger manga.

It's kinda sad that if they want to use Mazinkaiser OVA again, they would have to use Shin Mazinger's VAs since if I remember correctly, the old VAs have retired. I actually prefer Shin Mazinger VAs but I know a lot of people like the old ones more.
Or do what they do with Daitarn 3 and reuse the lines... I wouldn't mind this.
They could do that. But not having Koji and Testuya mentioning characters from other series newly-added Super Robot Pilots with voice in their support would be kind of disappointing.
Duke Fleed in Z1 mentioned The Edel and bare in mind, his VA has been dead since 95.

@@JosueCS In SRW, the Mazinger cast is one of the few groups that you can shuffle the pilots around in. You can have Koji in great, Tetsuya in Venus, and Boss in Kaiser if you wanted too. What I don't get is why there where two Great Mazingers at 5:10.

I believe it's one of those mass produced ones in that game's story. Great Mazinger had blueprint's stolen and the vegans had mass produced it.
I kind of did a double take at "vegans", until I realized it means the star Vega. XD

@@SwordfighterRed Also, Super Robot Wars Complete Box featured remakes of Super Robot Wars 2, 3, and EX. Super Robot Wars 2 had Kouji pilot the Great Mazinger rather than Tetsuya in order to give him an upgrade similar to Getter Dragon and Nu Gundam.
