@@jamesoconnor9027 Ben is probably the best songwriter in the band imho. Im just a casual YMSB fan, seen them at many a festival over the years. Jeff was just such a strong presence on stage and loaded with energy and enthusiasm none of the others could even come close to matching it. He really embraced the rock star persona even though they were/are a bluegrass band. He had that mandolin power stance down pat lmao. Last time I seen Yonder was after Jeff split and about midway through their set they brought in a drummer and Ben switched to electric bass. I didn't like it tbh. And now every video of them I see posted has Ben on a regular bass. Do you know if this is a constant thing with him now? Sorry for the long post lol, hope you are good.✌
@@bluecollar825 I don't know. Love Ben as a singer / song writer but Jeff added so much flavor to the band it just wasn't the same without him and my life was interrupted about that time anyway so I stopped. There was a good 5 years I didn't miss a show when they were anywhere near Chicago. I'm trying to concentrate on playing music myself now. I hope things are good for you too Jack.
@@jamesoconnor9027 right on brother. I did some more digging and came across a video from this year of them doing "Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo" and Ben was playing an upright and there was no drummer. However it did look like they already have another new mandolin player and a different girl on violin too. Unfortunately it didn't do much for me either. Thanks for the feedback. Good luck with the music friend.✌
I need some more Yonder! I love this song and this band as well. My favorite all time for sure. But if I always thought i'd be alone, I could pretend i wasn't scared. Absolutely love it! Good shit Ben! I like you with NO hair by the way. NIce vid!!!
