I’m no dog trainer but with my dog I would say “go wee wee” before letting her outside. She learned quite quickly to associate being let outside with going for a wee so would always sit by the door or pace between us and the door if we didn’t notice her sitting there. Whenever we say it now, she runs to the door so that might help!
Defo get a glass dining table queen. If you put in where it is now, infront of that window, it'll help keep lots of light hitting all parts of the room and open the space up!! :) x
For the wee training, my dad is a dog trainer so I have seen him work with people on this before. Take a small bell and hang it on a string on the door so that she can reach it with her nose. Every time you take her out, even for a walk, ring it and have her touch it herself so it becomes habit. Any door/ the window you may use to take her out should have one. Then she should eventually start ringing it herself when she needs to wee =) She will associate the bell ring with the bathroom. I hope this helps! it worked for all of our dogs growing up.
As a fellow knob enthusiast myself (😭🤣) Garden centres are the best for unusual glass ones or I also found some nice ones at dunelm too...I've recently just changed all of mine and it made such a difference 🥰 excited to see more house vlogs! ❤

Swyft sofa-beds are really good because they don't open out longways like a usual sofa-bed, so they're ideal for your dressing room or living room where you want a guest bed but don't have much space.
We have a lead with bells on the end that we put over the door handle so we know when our dog needs to go. He will swing the lead and we hear the bells x

Sausage dogs are notoriously stubborn! Took a few years to get mine to stop weeing inside! If it rains now they will refuse to go out unless they are stood under an umbrella 😂
My sausage is a year old and I live in a flat w no garden and we hardly have accidents now. I just keep to a schedule of taking her out every 3-4 hours. I can’t leave her home alone tho cos she screams the house down so I’m v jealous you can leave Ida!
Don’t be afraid gas cookers now have a safety mechanism built in them if you turn the gas on and don’t light it it shuts off the gas try it out and then you will remove the fear your mums fear is probably associated with cookers made before this feature was an actual standard feature and was dangerous and 👀👀👀 people lost their homes to gas explosion in fact check yours has it it should shut off in seconds and for instance if you had a window open and the flame went out it will shut off if you don’t have this feature which you should then definitely replace your cooker your mum will be relieved when you tell her this
