Something else to add. The reason Mason, Weaver, and Hudson weren’t assassinated was because Richtofen (post Tag Der Toten) actually rescinded the order as he worked in the CIA, as well as being the director of Requiem as he needed Weaver to be one of the heads of Requiem.
@Deathmare235 Richtofen did stop those assassinations from happening though, it was supposed to be carried out by Captain Price's father. Richtofen stopped it.
There is an in-universe (or rather, "in-multiverse") explanation for the crossover: - Bo4 zombies "Aether Saga" story ended with the collapse of the entire multiverse, with a new singular universe being created. - MW2019 (the first game after BO4) ushered a new renaissance for CoD as a franchise where the devs committed to from now on make every gamemode take place in the same singular timeline - BOCW came a year later and retroactively re-included W@W, BO1, BO2, BO3 campaigns into the lore of the "main universe", thus making them canon to the post-2019 CoD games - BOCW also established a story sequel to the Aether Saga, the "Dark Aether Saga." Here the zombies story exists in tandem with everything else (as MWIII clearly shows) - then Vanguard game out, continuing the Dark Aether story and apparently connecting to CoD WWII and BO4's "Chaos" zombies story, retconning the "Chaos" story as being one and the same with the "CoD cinematic universe" - MWII comes out and makes references to BOCW's Perseus faction, as well as references to BO2 with items like the shock stick because BO2 campaign takes place in 2025, a mere 3 years after MWII - MWIII brought back the Drone swarm from BO2, _totally_ not a hint for what's to come... - MWIII makes even more Perseus references, but now has a literal Dark Aether zombies mode which again does the thing... - there is the possiblity that MWII and III are hinting at eventually connecting the CoD Ghosts story (which takes place in 2027) to the collective "cinematic universe" due to: 1) MWII's "Ghost Team" setpiece 2) MWIII having Riley the Dog 3) both MWII and III have iconic guns from Ghosts like the Honey Badger, GM6 Lynx, and CZ 805 Bren (aka the "Chimera", "Signal .50" and "MTZ 556" respectively) 4) it would be a callback to CoD Ghosts' early development where it was originally meant to be a literal "Modern Warfare 4". 4) the high emphasis on Latin American military in MWII 5) Menendez Cordis Die incident that will eventually come in 2025 6) BOCW establishes Perseus as being the predecessor to the Ultranationalists, so perhaps they will retcon Las Almas Cartel and Cordis Die to be the same for La Federación in CoDGhosts, or even more tragically, have Los Vaqueros be the precursor to La Federación due to their bad relationship with Americans in MWII tl;dr, Tag Der Toten is what created the "CoD Cinematic Unvierse"

Honestly we saw in mw2019 that our new MW universe was set in BO’s. So it’s no surprise there tied together, we’ve know this for multiple years. In the next black ops, we need to see price if they want to keep MW story still up on its feet because mw3 was not good. Something else to add. The reason Mason, Weaver, and Hudson weren’t assassinated was because Richtofen (post Tag Der Toten) actually rescinded the order as he worked in the CIA, as well as being the director of Requiem as he needed Weaver to be one of the heads of Requiem.
No it wasn’t that, they were already invited back into the cia and that’s why richtofen invited weaver into requiem
@Deathmare235 Richtofen did stop those assassinations from happening though, it was supposed to be carried out by Captain Price's father. Richtofen stopped it.
There is an in-universe (or rather, "in-multiverse") explanation for the crossover:
- Bo4 zombies "Aether Saga" story ended with the collapse of the entire multiverse, with a new singular universe being created.
- MW2019 (the first game after BO4) ushered a new renaissance for CoD as a franchise where the devs committed to from now on make every gamemode take place in the same singular timeline
- BOCW came a year later and retroactively re-included W@W, BO1, BO2, BO3 campaigns into the lore of the "main universe", thus making them canon to the post-2019 CoD games
- BOCW also established a story sequel to the Aether Saga, the "Dark Aether Saga." Here the zombies story exists in tandem with everything else (as MWIII clearly shows)
- then Vanguard game out, continuing the Dark Aether story and apparently connecting to CoD WWII and BO4's "Chaos" zombies story, retconning the "Chaos" story as being one and the same with the "CoD cinematic universe"
- MWII comes out and makes references to BOCW's Perseus faction, as well as references to BO2 with items like the shock stick because BO2 campaign takes place in 2025, a mere 3 years after MWII
- MWIII brought back the Drone swarm from BO2, _totally_ not a hint for what's to come...
- MWIII makes even more Perseus references, but now has a literal Dark Aether zombies mode which again does the thing...
- there is the possiblity that MWII and III are hinting at eventually connecting the CoD Ghosts story (which takes place in 2027) to the collective "cinematic universe" due to:
1) MWII's "Ghost Team" setpiece
2) MWIII having Riley the Dog
3) both MWII and III have iconic guns from Ghosts like the Honey Badger, GM6 Lynx, and CZ 805 Bren (aka the "Chimera", "Signal .50" and "MTZ 556" respectively)
4) it would be a callback to CoD Ghosts' early development where it was originally meant to be a literal "Modern Warfare 4".
4) the high emphasis on Latin American military in MWII
5) Menendez Cordis Die incident that will eventually come in 2025
6) BOCW establishes Perseus as being the predecessor to the Ultranationalists, so perhaps they will retcon Las Almas Cartel and Cordis Die to be the same for La Federación in CoDGhosts, or even more tragically, have Los Vaqueros be the precursor to La Federación due to their bad relationship with Americans in MWII

Quick correction Perseus wasn’t an extremist in the government, he left it also there’s no way Yuri would know who Perseus is so it’s irrelevant anyway

This is just a game and not real war, right? Just asking
Resnov was in waw which is a world war 2 game prices grandfather was in the old cods also in ww2.
He forgot to talk about mw3 zombies
I don't know what everyone hates the m w three campaign It's not that bad I play that thing early before launch and it was not bad. I was mad that soap died but I didn't say it was a bad game.
Too much plot holes and writing mistakes
Agreed. It was short but straight to the point
Soap's death was a taste to come for MWIV
@@Osmo-7777 so mwiv is gonna suck?
@@Deathmare235 No No, MWIV is gonna be fantastic to what actually I predict can trigger WW3 in modern time

Mwz flat out confirms the connection as Soap and Ravenov are the ones fighting the zombies
Samantha and Eddie walked into the portal that led them into the Cold War universe than years later warzone tied to the Cold War now we see Cold War zombies in mw3 called mwz (Samantha is the black shadow than controls dr jansen) Eddie was shown at the end of forsaken
Infinity Ward and Treyarch together would be just fire

This is like cod mobile all over again. Yeah, MW and BO characters in the comics. Yey! Cod cinematic Universe is cod mobile!
Woods > price
im confused why would price want to kill hudson mason and weaver?
Harper: “Menendez is the worst terrorist since Osama Bin Laden.”
Yeah this crossover introduces a ton of contrivances and plot holes. Which is weird cos I remember when Cold War came out people were already saying it was connected to mw, and I said it was dumb then for the same reason. All this crossover does is hurt the story and introduces a ton of retcons and plot holes that were never there before.
Here’s a thought, stop ruining what came before and come up with something new.
This could still happen as the War in Iraq still exist in Modern Warfare.
The OG Bo2 isn't canon to this current story.
@@agentlinrov1474 no it couldn’t, since makarov existed and was worse than him, as he started ww3. But if we’re going by reboot mw, ig it makes sense Harper didn’t mention makarov, since makarov is a pathetic failure in every regard
@@tonysGFX247 cold war is set in the same timeline as bo1 and 2
@@skrublordnord69 And why would the Navy Seals mention Makarov when it isnt their achievement or concern?
Ok look ima be honest here, people may hate me for saying this, but call of duty’s story in a whole, got fucked up when they decided to combine both BO and MW, the whole point of them having two different universes was meant for both games to be unique
Mw3 killed a side to the story
Cod bo4 had a better campaign then cod mw3 2023
Most important Nova gas barkov trying to replicate in MW2019??
When i first played cold war and did the mission where i met zachaev, i was like, hold on wait a minute i know you, i shot your mfkn arm off..
Sad that the decline of mw3 is killing all views for content creators making videos on the game
Call of Duty has literally turned into Marvels franchise of videogames😢
Does it count as a crossover when it only pertains to online multi-player?
I prefer the original Mw trilogy connecting with the BOPs series.
I have a cod theory that Phillip graves is roach
woods is captain price
mason is soap
Queen energy.😊
Waiiittt a second. Wasnt secretary Gorbachev PRESIDENT Gorbachev in modern warfare for Russia????

What the hell are you talking about?! They already did. How did you NOT see the Perseus reference in the campaign?
I thought the story was fine. It's just short.
There was a story mode?
@@gur2451 there should be
@@agentlinrov1474 It was a good story, though the last mission should have been the first mission of the next game. The AC130 mission felt like a much better cliffhanger, as it wraps up the story in a way, while leaving it obvious that there will be another game. Dropping the soap should have been the basis for MWIV, rather than the ending of MWIII.

Well it would make sense for makarov to be apart of Perseus because wasn’t he behind all the events of Verdansk and has clear ties to Russian extremists. “The real Russia” just a thought
Yellow Call of Duty Black Ops and Modern Warfare
Honestly we saw in mw2019 that our new MW universe was set in BO’s. So it’s no surprise there tied together, we’ve know this for multiple years. In the next black ops, we need to see price if they want to keep MW story still up on its feet because mw3 was not good. Mak boy comes out of nowhere and he has almost no good story other thank his terrorism. We don’t get a good ending as nothing major happens other than Soaps death. Mak comes in at the end and bang, games over and I’m completely unsatisfied. Anyway, black ops 2024 means we’re getting a good story. I ain’t played a black ops with a bad story, bo4 is an exception as it has no story mode. Even then they still set up a lot of lore in that game. Price will work with BO characters and if they go into present day, which they should like bo2…. David Mason needs to work with or MW characters
So you basically rehashed an old video of yours??
Because zombies makes sense because the whole thing with different time periods so they decided to add zombies to modern warfare because of zombies the multiple universe theories
I blame Black Ops 4 Zombies for this.
What if Perseus got rebranded to Konni Group?
