It’s scary how many of these amazing videos keep popping up.. I am compelled to sit and watch , yet it gives me a weird feeling like I’m in the twilight zone.
Just discovered the channel and Ed Piskor 24 hrs ago after seeing a Comic Tropes Mr. Piskor Interview, and was instantly a huge fan of both (and Jim too, sure, why not - kidding he's awesome too). That interview had me psyched to draw more and even try some hand lettering. Such a sad thing that happened to Mr. Piskor.
The coloring on these issues is fantastic. I really hope Fantagraphics doesn't cut any corners on the restoration for their upcoming Megaton Man Omnibus. It'd be a shame if they just printed it in B&W like the reprints.
I had no idea the reprints were in black and white. I just picked up another 1-10 set, on Amazon (of all places. Not Brand Echh(OG- late 60's run) is another one of my favorite runs. I have multiples of each issue. I've been following Ed ,Tom S, and Jim on Amazon for awhile now. Is that just a bit much ?
When I drew the first issue, I had no idea it would be in color (originally), so there is a lot of Zip-a-Tone in the first issue.

RIP BIG EDDIE P NEVER FORGET OUR MARCHING ORDERS
Keep Kayfabe ALIVE!

Watching Cartoonist Kayfabe channel will keep you pumped to keep drawing and learning. You’ll have almost 2000 videos to go through.
I definitely see shades of both Jack Davis and Mort Drucker in Don’s work, at least in these early Megaton Man issues.
Don Simpson’s Anton Drek work is the really good stuff. I just picked up a his comix collection “Anton’s collected Drek.” Strictly adults only 😳
Thank you, Jim.
I had a table next to Don Simpson at a con a few years ago and watched him ink a Spider-Man piece. I can verify, he is an Ink Stud!
Owned a wicked Megaton Man Savage Dragon crossover comic.
This channel puts out the greatest vids.
Same
The artwork reminds me of Mad Magazine.
Great video. CK forever ❤
Megaton man was of those heroes that always seems weird to me back in the 90s, was like the superman version of the Tick.
Keep em coming!
How many episodes do you have in the tank
Lol ikr?! They were banking!
Thank you. I got Megaton Man when it first came out. Got rid of it. And recently bought all the issues again. I liked his Border World also.
Hurricane Katrina got mine. Recently restocked. I feel much better now.

If you're waiting for color you'll be waiting a long time

Kitchen Sink Press only reprinted the first issue, which was in black and white. They collected the first four issues, also in black and white.

Don Simpson is the best!
