I like Curtis as well, he's a top man! Honda parts are very expensive here in the UK, and parts for older models take almost a month to come in from Japan if they are genuine items. I wish Curtis and his family all the best for Christmas. And you Mike.
I remember my buddy bought a great running little triumph herald back in the day for £25. We realised the roof was just bolted on so we thought, great we can make it a convertible for the summer. Yeah, chassis corroded and the doors wouldn't open. No problem, jack it up and put the roof back on. Sweet car and amazing turning circle. Eeeehh, good ol days .
Got my cousin a car 30 years ago a cavalier £300 motd it burnt a bit oil quickfit said all brakes gone be £500 I freed off a caliper and new pads and she drove it 11 months
Those dealer Service Shops "try it on" all the time, my daughter had the same thing, put her fairly new Fiat 500 in for an oil change/service then they told her the brake pads were unsafe thickness, (but still plenty of pad material), and it'd only cost $900 to replace them. I don't know where they get those prices. She refused their offer and bought a new set at an Auto parts shop for $100 and got dear old Dad, (me), to change them.
don't you need that car for inspection changing owner? i am not sure how you will repair the sills , just reinforcement or the correct procedure, welding could be more easy , since gluing , it must be spotless clean.
We never used to have tests either and you used to be able to see the road through the floor as you drove along in the old days. Sometimes wellies were the required footwear too 😂👍🇮🇪@BritannicaRestorations
Great to see Curtis again.

Thanks for sharing
They are expensive here in the US too. Not that bad but expensive.
Great to see Curtis, seasons greetings to both of you....
Thanks 👍
Welcome back, Curtis. Good man….saving your daughter a thousand bucks!
She will be pleased!

Hello Curtis and Mike 😊👍🇮🇪
Hello there!
I thought Curtis was a rust man not a brakes man😊😊
Hi to Curtis. That's why I do my own brakes etc.
Thought it said Curtis bakes.....christmas cake?

You managed to correct the sills with some hammers 😂
If at first you don't succeed - hammer it...

It's not just Land Rover that does this...
Get a spot welder great for sills
Dealers are such scumbags now.
Could have sworn the pics they took of the brakes were from a different vehicle!
@@BritannicaRestorationsthey probably were
Don’t you have Land Rover as workshop run about etc ?
The 130 is a bit clumsy round town
Has he still got the pick-up?
That old blue pick up? That's gone
@@BritannicaRestorations😢.
You have set yourself up there.
Canada is coming up and lining up for brakes rather than going to stealerships.

We have no inspections here
