Ellis and Mariah are the perfect comedy pairing and I am so grateful that they showed up together in this video again. Please team up more often you two!
Should so do the same with two action cams, an eye-width apart, each going to a separate eye in the glasses; would likely regain some depth perception to help with things like ping-pong.
I think there are algorithms or some softwares that can help synchronise both cameras to create one image, don't know if its possible on video. They should look into that.
Please keep doing things that we might think of at home but quickly brush it off because we don't know how to make it work or we might realize that the effort maybe isn't worth it. It is so great that you are doing it. This was a real joy to watch. Thanks
wow, jono is here now too? The studio has never seized to surprise me with who they are hiring. As pleasant as a surprise as seeing hayato and david on here for the first time.
What's more ridiculous: Living in third person, or walking around with that stick out the back and the glasses and everything. I dare you guys to wear that in public for at least a short while... Anyway great video as always from the Studio channel! Was very fun and I loved the GUI simulation for the tasks!
As someone who is definitely maybe on the spectrum. It is great to see so many people who are also definitely maybe on the spectrum. The spectrum is pretty big so we are all kind of on it
I feel like someone needs to try this head mounted with two cameras to create stereoscopic 3D if we really want to give it a fair shot (especially in ping pong).
An impossibly harder evolution of this design would be a full body harness with a camera that orbits the user and can also translate up/down with head tracking to give a real life version of a video game right joystick.
I was just at the Augmented World Expo this week and met with XREAL, they have a new “Beam” on preorder which is basically a small power bank sized puck which you plug the glasses into and has built in casting airplay and video converting abilities, costs $99 and for things that won’t cast directly to the glasses, most will be able to if you plug them into the Beam and the Beam into the glasses. It also has some additional functionality like you can make the screen be static in space so if you turn your head away, the screen doesn’t turn with you, can resize it and stuff. They also said they are working on building all of those capabilities into the glasses itself and are aiming for a end of next year release for that
I was thinking of doing this kind of thing for a cosplay at some point. Glad to have some documentation on a possible execution readily available. good work and thank you kindly!
I wanted to try this idea for my own adventures in Japan. I guess you need a laptop and run a little code in clamshell mode. But walking outside, people might stare weirdly at the giant rod coming out of back.
Amazing! Next chapter, I wanna see an accelerometer attached to you guys' head, controlling the field of you of a wider-angle footage 😃 Then making it actually be 2 cameras, for stereoscopic view which should give you depth 😎
A great idea would be an Insta 360 and some head tracking to turn the POV as the head moves instead of needing the shoulders, would be insane. Anyway, well done guys !
What about mounting the camera to a drone I think you can make it work Does drone have a feature to follow an object at specific height . You can make it happen
Somebody needs to do this with a drone or something that follows the subject at a consistent distance and isn't attached to the subject and is stabilized. That way it feels more like you're playing a 3D platformer with a proper video game camera. That's what I've always wanted to see/try.
Great video. 12:27 I think video games would be easy since you can already play games normaly without looking at the controller and playing far away from the TV isn't hard. You should also get the booster course pass, it has fun remastered and new tracks.
Next version should be a drone that tracks the back of your head... Done right it would track head movement, and swoop through doors, so you can see where you're looking, and give different fields of view..
It would be cool if you did a higher tech rig where the camera pole was like attached to a horizontal arch on the backpack and when you turn your head it makes the pole move in an arc left and right. So turning your head to the left would let you see to the left and Vice versa
Doing a stereoscopic view would be the next stage. I think it would improve the experience a lot and actually make it convincing you are there when playing mario kart for example.
This is sick! I think you could take this idea further and mount another action cam on the head and integrating a button of sorts on the backpack or sth that lets you switch between 3rd person and 1st person. I mean it's very stupid, but i imagine it makes you feel like you're in a video game even more!
For the outro i was thinking “this experience has been…uN real” 😎😂 Overall suuuper dope vid and a fun yet creative but semi-practical approach to how ar/vr works. It adds material to the larger convo on this ar/vr future.
For a while I really wanted to do this with an FPV drone. I am not sure if the DJI Avata has all the same obstacle avoidance and active tracking, but if so, that would be the perfect device for this. Just follows you and avoids doors and trees automatically. You might even be able to do a head mount to add the RC Motion 2 and use the gyroscope to tilt the drone with head movement. I've thought about it for a while, all I am missing now is the DJI Avata itself 😅
This is ABSOLUTELY the kind of thing the Studio channel should be doing with all the tech they have on hand! This was hilarious! 😂
Most liked comment and no reply? Let me fix that
This was my last guess for how one of our backpacks would be used. So rad!
Ok hear me out, The Studio channel is becoming my favorite… even over the original MBKHD, it’s just so great! ❤
Same. I love all of these people and their energy while trying out new and crazy things is super inspiring :)
Was coming here to say that, but you said it best!
Same
agreed I love the more freeform and creative style
I think this is the best studio channel content so far. Something about this is just perfect. Fun and creative and social. More like this.
Next video lads are gonna find a way to enter creative mode and be immortal
Jesse. JESSE! I've cheated death Jesse!!
say my name
@@TheStudio cant say this is something I expected to see today
Kid named creative mode :
I need more Ellis and Andrew content in my life and this was fantastic.

Level Up! New skills unlocked.

@@ismailtaher5882 the camera feed is going through the laptop anyways, should be possible as long as the software exists.
Love how Marques instantly recognized what was going on and immediately decided to mess with him
I hear that Periphery riff when Ellis corrects himself at the end.
Please keep doing things that we might think of at home but quickly brush it off because we don't know how to make it work or we might realize that the effort maybe isn't worth it. It is so great that you are doing it. This was a real joy to watch. Thanks
I’m so glad Marques hired the most unhinged crew to make the most unhinged video in 2023 so far 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
It would be cool to see this with two cameras for depth, or head movement tracked to a gimbal so you can look around. Pretty neat
wow, jono is here now too? The studio has never seized to surprise me with who they are hiring. As pleasant as a surprise as seeing hayato and david on here for the first time.
Yes he joined mkbhd after leaving LTT

Ryan trahan did it
@@jorgegil6596 Really? I'll go look myself.
Love that Periphery joke at 14:05 🤘🏾
I want more videos like this, this is awesome🔥

Ellis has this chaotic energy that is so much fun to watch xd. Need more of everyone on the crew on the channel
Ellis is pure chaos and I want more of it!
I loooooved the fact you subtly played the Icarus Lives Periphery riff, what a tune. And what a great video.
This is how office creativity grows to this incredible opportunity. I like what you guys are doing with the studio channel
I personally bought these glasses but after this video. Good to see what you can do with this tech!
It seems like you all have been having a lot of fun lately and it shows in the content. Keep it coming!
Andrew DEFINITELY had the most accurate Tony Hawk Pro Skate IRL...I spent like 80% of my time as a kid just running into walls on it! 😂

Love the Lawrence shirt!
I like how even so many years after immersion did the Resident Evil episode people still do 3rd person videos, good to see the trend lives on
1:30 holy shit you can hear the sound of it ripping Ellis' hair off his head 😂😂

This might just be the best N-real content ever...
The perfectly cut laughs are really great
Saw this idea first on Liam Thompson's channel... It looks super fun!!
Shoutout to whoever dropped in the Periphery reference, i see you, you beautiful nerd.
🤓
Watching the camera view and thinking about how to do certain tasks makes me want to lay down, and I’m already laying down
I appreciate the THPS text during the skateboarding portion

So glad someone put Icarus Lives in there. EVERY TIME someone says "periphery" I instantly think of the band
Unicorn mount from insta360, set up on back of a helmet would’ve been the perfect for changing field of view with head movement!
Ryan Trahans footage was never this crisp. He needs to adopt this method
If Victor Wembanyama followed behind you with a camera.😁
Best studio channel video yet
The most chaotic charming video to come out of this team. Loved every minute
I've been watching WAVFRM for over six months and never knew this channel existed. Thank you.
Whoa it's Jono from LTT. I forgot he's been missing a while.
Love the LTT cable ties on the table 4:53
10:14 I giggled at that framing, specially Mariah in the background walking by and taking a loot at that bizarre scene 😂
Can I just say Hayato's pants are 🔥
Nice to see Andrew is a fellow Lawrence fan!!

im convinced Ellis's favorite word is extravaganza 😂
Caught in 4k
This is the best 3rd person video I’ve seen
The Tony Hawk Pro Skater trick titles got me 😂👏
Immensely cursed. Thank you
One of the most fun and creative.
Want every gadget review in the studio

The thumbnail was really aweome guys
Tim absolutely killed it on this one 💪
@@TheStudio thanks for replying guys, Im a big fan of all of your works
could this be a shirt? in the studio art graphic style? love ya Ellis😂
Now for the real test: can Marques play an ultimate frisbee game like this?
Ellis shone in this video! I mean that literally. I mean, he needs a beach vacay and some tan! Jokes aside, that was great fun to watch!
Love this, honestly looks much better than the ryan trahan large apparatus version last year
This was awesome
Now we need two of them, connected up using wireless video and two people need to complete challenges but only able to view from the others 3rd person
Did Andrew just called working from 11 to 4, "a long day"? Also, that looks like so much fun, I'm jealous it's someone's job to do it.
Probably a long time to work on just that project, I'd say they worked a full day in total 😂
New favorite Studio video! I just wish the video game overlays had a few sound effects
wow, this is an incredible tech
i love the studio channel more with each upload
So Ellis is new right? he;s pretty funny, i like him
One of my favorite videos ever. Keep up the great work!

Now try this with a drone in follow me mode. The newer DJI ones have like 0 latency video back to the controller (glasses)
Would love to see this but piping a video feed from a drone into the glasses and going for a run or a drive (safely ofc)
For the outro i was thinking “this experience has been…uN real” 😎😂
Overall suuuper dope vid and a fun yet creative but semi-practical approach to how ar/vr works. It adds material to the larger convo on this ar/vr future.
could have used some of the glasses we use for FPV Racing, something like fatsharks, they cover your eyes fully and have an hdmi.

With an Avata you could even theoretically drive in third person, but you didn't hear this from me
This would be good for a real life chess game. The angle of view is very helpful in identifying strategies to win a chess game
I love these videos more than the main channel hahaha, keep it going guys ! 😊
thats actually lit

Editor! I heard that Periphery song! 😂 Beautiful work.
This was such a great video. I also loved the little tease at Periphery music at the end. Ha ha.
REally Cool! I really like this channel! So much fun!
thumbnail was excellent. I didn't read the title, just clicked on the video out of TH-cam recommendations just because of thumbnail
4:41 Ellis is my hero! 😂
Marques is really messing with him 😂😂😂 6:25
Corridor Digital did something similar and played Mario Kart IRL. And someone crashed and got a concussion lol
This is top tier content!!!
