Updating Your Camera's Firmware

just updated my D800 like you said but it wasnt that slow that you showed!
I did put the dot bin file in as you showed and it shows A, B and L which is on point 006 now!
I hope its the right thingy I did!

I just updated the firmware of my D800E, everything worked good. L is your lens distortion control data, the 006 ist the current L. A must be 1.01, B must be 1.02.

better take my camera up to the store where I bought it!
how hot are the pictures compared to my little 800?
Im pretty sure im going to get the E model next time which is next year!

Thanks for watching. I also have a D800, but I don't have that SD card. The SD card I have in it is San Disk Extreme Pro 32GB SDHC and it format fine as well as the CF card I use.

Hey man! I followed the steps for the firmware update but after all was done the firmware version in the setup menu was newly updated to 1.02 from the prior 1.01. the strange thing is it still has the update option...is that a problem??

When you are done with the firmware update, don't forget to format your memory card again in camera. Thanks for watching.

Oh! My bad, i had forgotten to format the card once in the camera after the update is done, I've just done that and it's all good now! Thankyou sir

I did this in the past for my D7000, but when I went to do it on my D800, I couldn't remember. I through the directions on Nikon.com, but I must have read it wrong. Your video clarified it :) Thanks.

If you're like me and have a CF card and a SD card and the camera can't find the update, only put the card with the update on or the camera won't find the update.
