I have a 19 zl1 A10. My buddy has a 2019 zl1 manual. His blower stock vs stock is 2 to 3x louder than mine. Maybe the a10 takes more power and dampens the sound.

No shops making lids remove the steel plate in the stock lid before making a dyno pull. It takes 20 minutes at the most and removes the heat sink at the exit of the blower before it goes into the bricks for cooling... so essentially they are attributing their power gains by comparing apples to oranges.
I track my ZL1-1LE, and the difference between running the plate and removing it is about 20-30 degrees calculated MATs on a sustained 3-7th gear pull at Road Atlanta.

I had my plate off and it made 0 noticeable difference. This made a noticeable difference. BUT as I said in the video I did this mod 90% for sound 10% for looks. Car makes almost 700 and has a wicked powerband with the cam through a 10 speed makes for a lot of fun.

@@Aperturealloy Which cam are you using? My analysis is based upon extended pulls, lap after lap for 30-45 minutes of continuous hard pulls on a road course. In this environment, the steel plate removal makes a big difference.

Nice car man. Any recommendations in south Florida for a zl1 owner in terms of mechanics and/or doing a zl1 to Zle bumper conversion?

Sounds great, did you need a retune after installing the lid?

did you have any gasket fitment issues? I saw another video where the gasket was slightly bunched up because of a different cutout pattern

I just saw that video before this one XD if we're talking about the same video I saw it on (Ride Of Life)

@@silverrockstar100 if it helps i did not have any fitment issues. all you have to do is spread the "slack" in the gasket around the entire relief. if you make it VERY tight from your starting point to your end point, it will have some extra bunched up material. but if you leave some "slack" between your starting point and finish points, it will be fine. you can also reposition it as much as you need.

This is a thorough installation video for those that need it to install the part on their car. Sorry you're not thoroughly entertained by my informational video. If it's so easy then you go do it and get thousands of views.

@@Mxgxel_5.0 Just FYI, Chevrolet is discontinuing the Camaro ZL1 this year (2024). I'd hurry if I were you. I just got mine last year (2023) in May.
