My wife and I did a 7 day Caribbean cruise on this ship last May. Weather and seas were absolutely beautiful and was by far one of the best times in our lives. Ease of technology was great. We went to Princess Cays, Grand Turk, San Juan, PR and Amber Cove in the DR. Everyone on the ship was great, no drama, no weird smells or even sea sickness. Also spend the extra $$ to book the Crown Grill. Steak/Lobster and especially the chowder soup was absolutely amazing. We did the Lotus spa couples message on our last sea day and it was a great way to cap off the week. We'll be rebooking in the next couple years for sure.
This is the Best presentation of any cruise ship I have seen on you tube - the Maple leaf icon on each deck plan is brilliant! We have never done a Princess cruise, but we do fancy this ship, and if we download your video, what an easy way to navigate around the ship!!!! each deck plan shows the area you are looking at and the position around the ship. The only thing is, we would have liked to see some cabin layouts, but we can see them on other sites, but yours is brilliant, as you also give the costs of different dining venues etc, so a very good guide all round Thanks for a great presentation!
LOL - now there's a new idea. Virtual cruises. We stream live from the ship and people just tell us where to go and what to eat/drink, as if they were there.
I’m going on that ship in 46 days. I’m so pumped. As watched this video I’m on their app map of the ship. Studying now so I know what’s what. Thx for the video. This boat is more classy than I thought Compared to carnival that I went on last year.
We are happy to hear its helpful for planning for your cruise. We loved this ship and found it the right combination of class and fun. Better quality than Carnival but a little more quiet crowd. Lot's of music, dancing and amazing production shows. Have a great time!
Dude Princess needs to pay you for this.... we booked our first crusie on the Carribbean and had no idea ... the Sanctuary WTF! Thank you... get PAID for this stuff... they owe you man!
Great video! The Caribbean Princess will be sailing from Port Canaveral in 2024, which is an easy drive about an hour from our house, so we'll be trying her out next year!
We are big fans of that ship and will love to cruise her again. We are happy to hear that she will be sailing out of Port Canaveral. For us it is more affordable than Fort Lauderdale for hotel stays on either side of the cruise.
Great tour. Your tours are always so good. Mat and I are thinking about cruising on the Caribbean Princess or Nieuw Statendam in January. We can't make up our minds. LOL.. Watching your series again.......
We were on the FLL to Quebec City cruise just after yours . We spend any non port day at the Terrace Pool . Heaven ! We had a guaranteed balcony cabin on deck 14 and were worried that it would be noisy being under the lido deck . It wasn't at all . In fact it was our favorite location .
Another great ship tour. I watched a similar video on the Rotterdam, which really interested me since we are sailing on her in 2023. I particularly like your use of the moving maple leaf to show just where you are on each deck. Good filming too with a nice steady camera.
Thanks! We are glad you noticed - this was our first time using a new gimbal to help smooth out the footage. The Rotterdam is wonderful - have a great cruise!
Thanks for that, extremely informative and well presented. Loved the location marker on the RHS of the video showing exactly where you are talking about. This ship is almost identical to the P&O ships Ventura and Azura. We are hoping to join her for the first time for a back to back cruise in the Caribbean 2025. 🎉
Glad it was helpful! We’re really hoping to find our way onto a P&O ship one day and see the similarities. We really liked the layout - maybe even a little more than the newer classes.
I was on the Caribbean Princess back in August. I was on a 10 day Canada 🇨🇦 and New England cruise. It was my first time visiting Canada. I had a wonderful time! My first ever cruise was on this ship in October 2014! I went to the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos 🇹🇨. 😁
Great job! Although- as a mom, I specifically came to see The Treehouse, outdoor play area and center court and splash area. All 4 of them were missed. Or I somehow missed it?? 🥺🥺
You are correct - we did not include the Kids area. We won’t film where children are. We can tell you that it was a very small area in our opinion. Fine if travelling with a toddler but not big enough to keep children entertained.
@@CruisingCanucksthanks so much for the reply! I saw you filmed into 2 of the 3 clubhouse rooms, but not the Treehouse which is my kids age range. Is that the one you’re referring to as small? Or the outdoor play area? And could you tell me what the center court is? I can’t find any videos with it.
The outside play /splash area is what felt extremely small. Also it was right next to a bar which we felt was an interesting design choice. We are pretty sure that centre court is the basketball/pickle ball court.
That's a higher capacity than I thought. Not a big bar person. Getting a nosh is another matter. Like the casino. Like to be protected from the sun. Thirteen is a very lucky number. Lido Deck besides the pool is a deck they have the buffett on. Not many overhangs here. Fitness Center is good.
Great job! Enjoyed it tremendously. Noticed a few changes but for the most part it felt warm and welcoming like Princess ships always do to me. Only cruised her once but she is similar enough to the Emerald, Ruby, and Crown (minus the high Skywalker’s Lounge and a few moves for specialty restaurants) she feels very familiar. Curious about the fate of the specialty buffet sections, too. I’ll let you know in February, lol.
Great video!! I’m going on the Caribbean Princess in April. Your video is very informative and very well made. I’m curious about the Gala night. Do you remember what night of the week it was? I hear people really dress up for Gala nights on Princess so I want to get an idea of what to wear. Hope to hear from you. Thanks.
In our experience you will find men wearing a suit or a pair of dress pants with a collared shirt. Women tend to wear a dress or dress pants and a blouse. Gala night is usually on sea days. One at the beginning of you voyage and on near the end. Currently Princess second formal night is a gold and white themed evening.
Thank you for this tour. I see many loungers but no comfortable chairs to sit and read outside like on Holland America. We are booked on this ship May 2024. Not sure the boat is going to be comfortable.
The Caribbean Princess is a lovely ship with lots of deck space and pools however who are correct that they do not have cushion loungers on the main pool deck. At the Retreat Pool they do have the nice cushion loungers like to are use to on Holland America ship but unfortunately they are only around 20 of these chairs. 🛳
Pretty sure it was. We had gone up there days before and poked around during the day. Not sure the bar is open - but again we aren’t 100% sure. Most venues on a ship allow you to look around even if the technically aren’t ‘open’.
Great helpful video. Thanks for sharing. Swimming pools, do any have stairs entering/exiting pool? Having limited mobility, aqua therapy is beneficial, however the ladders don’t work for me. Do you recall any ship with stairs? Thank you
Thank you for a really great and comprehensive ship tour! I am on the Caribbean Princess in a month and was trying to tell from the video if there is any difference in the three main dining rooms?? We did a Princess cruise about 15 years ago. It was a beautiful ship but the only activities on board were art auctions and drinking. I hope they've gotten past that.

My grandson just sailed MSC Seascape with their toddler. It depended on the lifeguard as to whether he was allowed in the kiddie splash area. Some were welcoming, others didn’t allow.
I just booked my first cruise for April and it's on this ship, do I really enjoyed your video. A couple newbie questions if you don't mind? Is it easy enough to find a spot at the pool without waking at the crack of dawn to stake your spot? Are there dress codes for certain lounges/restaurants or the nightclub? Thanks again, looking forward to my first cruise!
Congrats on your first cruise!! The pool by the spa requires a VERY early attempt to save a chair. However, there are other pools around the ship (including the aft-facing) that can be easier to find chairs. There is a dress code for the main dining room - no jeans, tank tops, sandals (for men) or swimwear. Let us know if you have any more questions.
@@CruisingCanucks thanks, so much. Been reading some message boards as well as following your journey (think I'm on Day 5), so starting to get things figured out. Haven't been this excited for a trip since my first trip to Ireland 🤣
If you are planning to rise at dawn, putting some belongings on a chair and then disappearing for hours, you may be disappointed to find that your belongings have been collected and left with a pool attendant. A very short one up on deck before 8am that covered in deck chairs after that. There's also the Promenade deck that can be walked (and is covered) but there's more people usually there in the way.
@@kims9689 One of the decks up top (where there are loungers during the day) is available for people to job before 8am. After that the chairs are pulled out and the only spot left is the Promenade deck. The promenade deck is open 24 hours.
Older than Carnival but younger than Holland America. 35-55 being the middle or so. Lots of it depends on the cruise. Longer cruises in the off season would have an older crowd whereas holidays and shorter cruises are younger.
