I'm an east coast northern suburbian and I catch the accent sneaking in a bit despite it not being part of my usual dialect after a good long binge session of these awesome books.

Love series. Addie's accent still puzzling, but love the rest of the authentic voices. Lovely soft southern drawls & familiar sayings. NC native.
Loved Book One and so excited I get to listen to more. Wondering if I need to do something different as the narration has become choppy - breaking and pausing way too often and in places that really do not need a pause. The voice is pleasant but not as well done as in book one.
Love the story, all the same.

BTW, McDonald's attorneys did a great job trivializing the coffee incident, but a 70 y/o woman had 3rd° burns. Restaurants had a >200° policy in places that had walk around refills that were often off element. McDonald's had same temp for stationary pots for window orders &

Don't like how scrawny she looks on the cover. Books 1 & 6 covers has her body shape more realistic. Other than that I like the covers.
Sorry that bothers you. It's often hard to find art in the pose I need that's curvier, but I DO look before I use the smaller ones.

Hi! Definitely not AI! I've vowed never to use it, and this one's by the same narrator. I went in and listened but didn't hear anything that stood out in the first few minutes. I'll put the whole thing on play while I'm cleaning and see if I can pick out what you're talking about. Thanks for mentioning it.!

It is!!! It's very Captain Kirk-ish. Halting rather than smooth and flowing. It's pretty jarring.
@@teganmaheraudiobooks , I don't know if you gave it a listen or were able to focus but if you just go to where I am at at 25 minutes in and listen for a couple of minutes, she says about two words per segment, so it ...sounds like...this.. it's very uncomfortable but I do appreciate the book so I listen. I think there are better AIs out there than this. I have heard some of the newer ones and they flow better. They do lack emotion and fluctuation (which is improving) but they are getting pretty smooth, as far as pronounciation I think AI is on par with this narrator. The more people use AI and give feedback the more it can be improved. (Not saying to use it, just comparing)
9:24 pm Wednesday August 17th question at the beginning of the book the dead girl was pulled from the lake in a garbage bag with a chain wrapped around her waist but the explanation at the end said she fell off the boat and drowned. how did she get put in the bag with a chain wrapped around her waist and what was the purpose of the ripped piece of cloth?
I fixed this in the ebook, but the audiobook had already been produced. I'm sorry for the discrepancy!

Her accent smooths out as the series goes on. As far as the Glenlivet, at the time, the narrator was new and so was I. I didn't think to carefully edit (listen to) an audiobook. I apologize!
