Your montero is a beauty! So nice to see how you take care of it. I recently bought a 3.0L 2004 out here in Dubai with 165,000 miles on it that has not been well taken care of, but that is changing now! Thanks for the videos and the knowledge, keep them coming!
No cracked exhaust manifolds? It's about that age. I did change the Y pipe with one from Rock auto, even though it works well as keeping the codes clear I had to cut and modify. I believe they're selling the 3.5 as a 3.8, I think it was Eastern Catalytic, about $350.00 like 5 years back.
@juanpereznet I remember you mentioned this a while back, I tried to get one from rock Auto, but they didn't have it. The one I got from Japan bolted right in, but it was expensive. No, the manifolds were not cracked.
Hi, this is a great video. Thank you for sharing! Do you know if this part number fits a 2005 Montero LTD? On all the Mitsubishi parts sites, the part number for a 2005 is 1584A193 and is discontinued. Yours is 1584A194 and still available. Do you know what the difference is? Or if 1584A194 will also fit a 2005? Thanks!
@rziady I'm not sure what the difference is. However, I just ordered another one for 06, and it's the same part# as my 04. It might be a unique part for California.
How come you didnt try to clean iit when you take it down? And tell me did you mileage change after you install new CC?? And what was mileag on mitsubishi while you were perform this repair??
