I saw you dipping your toes in the tandem pool on Sunday. Learning to lead is part of the tandem game, people will let you follow for a while, but eventually, they want that chase. Chasing is where the fun is. The best tandem practice is with someone you're buds with who's close to your skill level. I'll lead you a bit at the next event so you can get some follows in.
That was great advice he gave you. It looks like a tight-knit community. And you picked up what he was putting down really quick! Don’t be afraid of that rev limiter. These newer engines can take a lot more than you think. The factory rev limiter is kinda at a detuned limit, they can take more than that. That Miata though was ripp’n it!
@@ScarlettheMeowMeow Jake told me he got to do a ride along. Was cool to see it in this video. I may tell him to pick up a cheap Miata. I’ve had a few friends that used to drift/race them
@@MightaCoulda Miatas are a good cheap option and will make you good because it's harder to drift on lower hp. Just do some research on what you need to dial in a miata for drifting and they'll slide good.
Day 1 was incredible! The energy and skill on display were off the charts. Can't wait to see what the rest of the event has in store!
dam u killing it on the track brother 🔥🔥🔥

Bet, I'm down to try and catch up to your fast ass car. I don't mind leading as long as the person behind me is way more experienced.
