I have a fear of deep open waters and seeing nothing but Nautilus' actual size and his giant anchor gave me chills!

I absolutely love it when characters that are huge get a trailer or action scenes or any screentime that truly show just how gargantuan they are. I have a huge soft spot i guess it would be called, for massive characters getting to show off how massive they are in the coolest ways like here. I don't even play nautilus and I'm hyped for him.

Yea, giant monster are usually lefted out well maybe except in that lor cinematic with malphite, but it's still awesome to see Nautilus real size in the cinematic.

Admittedly I read the Nautilus lore previously and just checked it again to make sure, but I actually couldn't fathom how much of a leviathan he actually was. Nor did I expect him in this trailer and felt very real chills when his anchor appeared and eyes light up. Pyke was unexpectedly comedic as well as utterly horrifying. Adds a nice touch of character that way since he always struck me as the mindless killer type. I don't play much anymore but this definitely garnered my interest!
pyke's personality is *really* interesting and intriguing! he knows exactly what he's doing, and sometimes he's even poetic about it.. it's expanded on greatly in the Ruined King game, would absolutely recommend either playing it or watching a "movie version" of it. all the lore from that game is amazing!
pykes current personality is that he's slowly losing his mind and becoming more and more of a mindless killer.
sometimes he's more incoherent then others.
Pyke actually checked his list like a normal Vengeful Spectre wpuld how nice of him.

Nautilus and pyke has the same story both got betrayed and now became the legends of bilgewater, nautilus got betrayed by his crewmate and now became the titan of the depth and striking thos who never pay theiir tithe, pyke betrayed by his crewmate and the captain and became the bloodharbor ripper killing those who got into his list

Just to point out
In Bligewater, the Tithe is generally expected to be paid by the boats captain *before* setting sail, so Nautilus doesn't come along and split your entire ship open.
So not only was this captain unlucky enough to get to the upper end of pyke's list, but he also neglected to pay the Tithe, leaving it up to his crew.
This is why you do background checks before joining a crew in Runeterra
Something tells me the captains general neglect towards basically everything is exactly why he had VIP priority on Pyke’s list

He helped fight off the Harrowing when that was going down. Dude walked out there and solo'd a bunch of ghosts to protect Bilgewater.

I mean as a support Nautilus is a menace (not as strong as he used to be in the top lane) and he can more than solo even 2 item adc's

Pyke only hunts those who are in his list (a list of all the captains of Bilgewater), and Nautilus only attacks if the person didn't pay their tithe.
Fun Fact: (minor spoiler for the Ruined King game)
Miss Fortune's name is in Pyke's list. But after "defeating" the Ruined King with her, he purposely moved Miss Fortune's name to the bottom of his list.

@@codebracker The ship he says he was on (the terror) has no record of docking in bilgewater, but what happened to him is very real. In the last story of the audio story legends of bilgewater Lars recognizes Puke and I quote " No... It can't be... Pyke? You're dead, the beast took ye!"
This line proves there is some truth to Pykes story, but is all jumbled up thanks to the Jaull fish.

Seeing Nautilus in full scale is just gorgeous. That massive anchor just ROCKETING up, and the shot of him walking along the sea floor are both stunning.
This and New Dawn really make people realize how massive Nautilus is.

I was like to the kid against Pyke:

Nagakaborous doesn't put names on his list, the Jaulfish are basically their own faction of deep dwellers and they use him to get revenge since their species is the one primarily hunted by bilgewater sailors.

This was weirdly the most human I think we've seen Pyke act. I haven't played or seen Ruined King yet, but seeing Pyke just walk through a door like a normal man and take a second to check if the boy is on his list is just hilarious.

This is pretty much a slice of life on what pyke and nautilus normally do.... nautilus collects payment or drags the ship to the depths, and pyke only kills the ones in his list

The Nautilus reveal was so unexpected, but when I saw the anchor. I just instantly clicked. I do admit Pyke felt a little.. silly in this one? I just meant Pyke is the true horror character (besides Fiddlesticks) of League, but it feels like the Unleashed Thresh animation made Thresh actually feel like the Slasher character instead.

1:10 Nautilus' Hook missed because its hitbox isn't as broken as its PC counterpart.

I actually think Pyke saved the kid. Mad and possesed as he is, his main gripe is with captains and people whom the list tell were his crew.
