- At ACOM, we prepare students for success through diverse and exciting learning opportunities on and off campus. We offer a progressive academic curriculum, lead in simulation medicine, and provide a supportive environment that helps students flourish. Student organizations and interest groups are an integral part of ACOM campus life to help influence the type of physician you can become.
In southeast Alabama, our modern campus was thoughtfully designed to support the academic curriculum of medical school. Over time, it has evolved to include walking trails, a community garden, a teaching kitchen, an expansive outdoor pavilion and more. These amenities support student wellness and offer experiential learning opportunities aligning with the osteopathic medicine philosophy.
Beyond the classroom, the ACOM experience is unique. We are part of Southeast Health, an academic, community-based health system which includes a 420-bed regional medical center. This connection enriches our student experience through joint research projects, guest lecturers, shadowing opportunities, and more.
