Oh the nostalgia!! Look at them, so young, so full of energy, they don't even realise in only a few years they will be one of the biggest bands in the World.
Me and my then boyfriend and I were there on this night. We didn't even know who INXS were at the time but my boyfriend won free tickets from KROQ radio station and I think the original band we were going to see were the TUBES, we knew that band more since we were fans of them. When Michael Hutchins came out dancing, we said he kind of dances like Mick Jagger! Lol.. They were wild and very impressive musicians and lead singer. So I got to see INXS before they became more world wide famous back then and our seats were close up to the stage, so we got see Michael Hutchins and the band very close up! And we saw them perform with free tickets and a couple of years later, my then roommate and I went to see INXS in concert at the Greek Theater, this time I had to pay to go see them but it was worth it! I was always a big fan of INXS. When I heard on that Michael Hutchins passed away, I was so heartbroken, because it seemed so sudden. When I read about what led up to his suicide, it was just so sad for him. How he first got a bad concussion from a fall and he never got checked and it's what made him change his personality and started to take drugs, probably from bad headaches. He had a lot of bad issues with Bob Geldoff(sp?), his girlfriend. I kind of still blame Bob Geldoff for making Michael push him over the edge where he didn't want to live anymore, and he had drugs were found in his system. He spiraled into depression but still held it together when he performed. No one is like Michael Hutchins and INXS ❤❤❤
I miss the days when bands had their own sounds and styles. I feel bad for younger generations. INXS had a great sound and one of the greatest frontman.
