I am so sorry to learn about your husband's illness. My husband coaches 3 sports which takes him away year-round, so I am not someone who has a lot of help myself... there is a lot you need to learn to do. I hope that God will watch over your husband and your beautiful family, and keep your husband healthy and strong. I love that your son helps you in the workshop, he will always remember this time with you, and learn by your strong work ethic, something he will always carry with him. I have a girl and 2 boys, and my daughter would like to help me if I can ever start my new business. I loved watching you make the tea lights! Do you worry about the wicks migrating where they are not 1st glued in place? Also, I noticed you are pouring right to the top. Is this because the wax shrinks down a bit as it cools... will the melted wax overflow the container when the tea-light is burning? Thank you for sharing this video! Also, your pets are super sweet.
Thank you so much for your kind words! It means so much to me ❤️ I love that my kids can be with me while I'm working, and I get to make more memories with them. My oldest is 18, and I see him less and less as he is building his own life. It reminds me that I need to treasure every moment! With the tealights, by the time I'm wicking, the wax has already cooled enough to cause the metal tab to "stick" to the bottom of the plastic cup, and there are little plastic nubs in the bottom of the cup that keep it from moving while burning. Also, yes, the wax shrinks quite a bit.
