One point about Grenfell tower - the cladding wasn't originally on that building - it was added on because the tower was visible from a neighbouring rich area and they didn't want to see that "eyesore" so they had it covered to appease the eyes of the rich. Knowing that context puts an entirely different level of shock to how they used cheaper materials and how that situation eventually unfolded.

One point about Grenfell tower - the cladding wasn't originally on that building - it was added on because the tower was visible from a neighbouring rich area and they didn't want to see that "eyesore" so they had it covered to appease the eyes of the rich.
Knowing that context puts an entirely different level of shock to how they used cheaper materials and how that situation eventually unfolded.
