We are sending our grand child Pranav to OT as well as to the Montessori school. At school he is picking up the things fast enough but parroting of words has begun. But at OT therapy parents are not allowed in side and see the classes. So we can not practice at home

Studies mein kaisi performance thi mam aapke bete ki?..regular curriculum tha ya special curriculum?...I am asking bcoz my child is in 3rd standard and has understanding issues..he doesn't understand stories and have no interest in reading his curriculum books...
We sent sainyam to playschool initially at the age of 2+, thereafter a special school when he was 3+ and then moved to regular school at 4+ as he started speaking and understanding things better. Suggest you to watch the complete video for more information.

Actually behaviour issues age ke sath sath change bhi hote rehte hain jaise jaise bachha grow karta hai aur aap bachhe ke sath kaam karte rehte hain. Even for any neurotypical child, behaviour patterns change with time, circumstances and environment. Sainyam ke case mein major issues like hitting, hair pulling etc disappeared with constant work by the age of 5 years.
Sainyam went to a play school at 2+ years, then to a special school in 3+ years. When his sitting, understanding & speech started developing, he went to a regular school in 4.5 years

Hi Anjum, We would like to differ here from the therapy center, your child spends maximum time of the day at home with you and you should repeat the exercises with the child. Ask them to train you or let you see what exercises they are doing with child. Hi , we learnt about aba techniques at early intervention center when Sainyam was very young and then implemented that at home in small small things. Every time he did something that we wanted, we gave him positive reinforcements.. through rewards. Which city you are from ?

Hi Anand, thanks for watching the video. 1) Sainyam is one year behind in studies, because he was gearing up and got admission with a session's delay. 2) by god's grace he didnot have to repeat any session. 3) W as parents shadowed him for some time. 4) He got admission in DAV school.
My five years old has mild adhd.he got admission bt like sanyam our son also keeps quiet at school and don't respond.Now they are prejudiced towards him and ignore him.
Hi Ishita, Don't loose hope, try n talk to the teacher, understand her perspective first and then try to make her/him understand your perspective. Both teacher and you have to be on one side. Else it will become a tug of war situation. Keep working with child simultaneously at home. Listen to the teacher and support her in supporting your child. Slapping is not a solution. Ismain bachhe ki koi mistake nahin hai. As a teacher aap uske liye concerned hain, ye bohat acchi baat hai, but agar aap sach main uske liye kuch acch karna chahti hain to patience and pyar ke saath deal kijiye and guide the parents towards required therapists.

Therapist told not to do their part like writing part at home cox they told us its our part only therapist can help to get the grasp youll teach wrong so it will difficult for her learn
So what to do they give very little activities for home
Hi Anjum,
We would like to differ here from the therapy center, your child spends maximum time of the day at home with you and you should repeat the exercises with the child. Ask them to train you or let you see what exercises they are doing with child.
What can go wrong with simple and effective exercises life picking pulses and beans from ground and sorting them.. 🌸

Hi. You can assign a shadow teacher for the kid in the classroom. She will help the kid cope up in school. Many schools nowadays allow shadow teacher to accompany the kid.. Max one or two years a ST is needed. .

Hi , we learnt about aba techniques at early intervention center when Sainyam was very young and then implemented that at home in small small things.
Every time he did something that we wanted, we gave him positive reinforcements.. through rewards.

1) Sainyam is one year behind in studies, because he was gearing up and got admission with a session's delay.
2) by god's grace he didnot have to repeat any session.
3) W as parents shadowed him for some time.
4) He got admission in DAV school.

Don't loose hope, try n talk to the teacher, understand her perspective first and then try to make her/him understand your perspective. Both teacher and you have to be on one side. Else it will become a tug of war situation.
Keep working with child simultaneously at home. Listen to the teacher and support her in supporting your child.

U should not slap a kid with autism …this is very wrong… har bache ko pyar chahiye… deal with him with love and patience… praise him… use reinforcers
Slapping is not a solution.
Ismain bachhe ki koi mistake nahin hai. As a teacher aap uske liye concerned hain, ye bohat acchi baat hai, but agar aap sach main uske liye kuch acch karna chahti hain to patience and pyar ke saath deal kijiye and guide the parents towards required therapists.
