Mark Shaw and Then Jerico, their star only burned for 15 mins. but what a track this is. Mark, bless him didn't suffer fools in that crazy music world of the late 80s, as anybody who saw him on reborn in the USA will testify.
guys i'm reading all the comments and feel love and nostalgia everywhere. It's like i leved those days tho i was born in 1977 and was just a kid,i remember some parties of cousins, parents! The best period of all !!
Thanks for putting this on here as a teenager in the 80s this is where I met my first gf /childhood sweetheart and we are still together married after all the ups and downs of life since this excellent song By Then Jericho all those years ago at a house party we where at .Cheers 👍.
TOTALLY CORRECT...best comment i've seen in a long while...Michael Perry..YOU ROCK DUDE I lived through the eighties....despite a sh*t-load of ridicule and suspect fashion(if you lived through it...it was part of you), songs like this blew you away!!!! Their two albums are on cassette in my drawer..they still get an outing every now and again..these dudes also toured the whole two albums a couple of years back..stunning "live" i'm reliably informed.
+SONIC FOXX MUSIC...(D.N.A... Developing New Artists) I have the cassettes too! I was in my twenties. .felt this was the music that represented how young and great I felt.I still love new music. .but this is from my time. .thanks YT.
Very underrated band, great album, if you love the 80s go out and get a copy, listen and you won't be disappointed. Better than the trash that the commercial machine of today is turning out.
one of my greatest "music mistakes". I didn't know this band until i went for some medical tests about 15 years ago ( i already was like 40+) and while i was waiting at the reception room with old age people suddenly the speakers started to play THIS song! :) And then it was a matter of time to find the band. But the feeling back then..and all these..waiting for the doctor.... it was priceless.
Was able to see them in concert in Manchester back in erm..'88 i think Mark sat on top of a speaker with a few bottles of beer and belted the songs out!! mint :)
this rhytmh & tempo makes me cry. is so nostalgic even if i was born at '84. It reminds me all the opportunities i had and lost them.! It reminds me of HER and her crazy dances!
Encontré el CD de Then Jericó de pura casualidad en un remate en Nagoya Japón año 94 y desde alli se convirtió en mi banda favorita, bendita casualidad.
Just shows different tastes in music...I also bought the album and thought EVERY track was first class. Wish they would make a come back like so many other bands.
I say the same thing David,,such a kind of music is produced no more..Simply musicality is unprecedented...Thanks a god I was a part of it and I will I remember a joy of listening and living in the 80s as long as I live..
+Mirko Sasic If you want to do more than just remember, I have collected a playlist of around 500 exciting songs of this ilk. You might want to check it out, it's a good time.
Mint song an underrated group. Mark Shaw was a Star didn't lack confidence and hasn't really changed. Got both albums on cassette "First the sound of music " and "the big area "
this is one of those songs when i was a kid i heard on the radio, but never ever got the name of until, i watched the BBC show "Never Mind the Buzzcocks"..classic 80's tune if ever there was one:)
I was 11 when this came out, got both LP's, some singles and a major Mark crush :) Now, I still have the albums, the singles and the crush. It's such a shame that they weren't able to wow the whole world.
esto es musica¡¡¡ q tiempos¡¡ cuanta gente moviendose solo para bailar y pasarlo bien sin malos rollos ¡adoro el haber vivido esta epoca y sobre todo aqui en Valencia¡¡¡
i used to sing this in my old band, wot a tune, its a shame when i ask ppl do u know then jerico, there like who?so i show them on youtube and there like wow wot a catchy song,it rocks x
Iv loved this band since the 80s..you can hear the 80s but all their music is timeless .I see the original James Bay hat..love him too...there is so much music to love when you are old enough to remember the 80s and still love the new stuff.
I saw these guys in Kosovo, doing a CSE show for the British Army about 2001. It was about the same time as Geri Halliwell did a CSE show for the forces in the Middle East. We were on operations and Geri was doing a song for lads on exercise. We, the lads on Operations (not an exercise) prefered Jerico... a class act; they've got short hair now though.
It's amazing I heard this tune in my dream last night, you can have a great dream with a song you forgot you remembered. Wow forgot how good this rearly was
Superb album, some of those tracks are still the "most played" on my mp3 player. Saw them in concert at Edinburgh Playhouse in the 80's. Awesome band, still got the vinyl LP here.
This one rocked hard when it came out, even on MTV Europe (which was basically UK). It's a great tune. Love and Money's Strange Kind of Love was also going strong at around the same time.
Wow! Been looking fior this on TH-cam for a long time! Thanks. Always reminded me of my trip to Paris from college (1989) - never seen the video 'til now - and its sot in Paris!
My brothers band are supporting these guys at Newcastle on Thursday, so proud!
Para mi de las mejores canciones que existen y como una letra que expresa mucho. Gracias por hacer recordar buenos momentos.
it sounds like the 80s .it smells like the 80s .it has the taste of the 80s..and what a taste that was

I was 6 years old, dancing around my room like a mad fool to this song. Hearing it now makes it feel like it was only yesterday! ❤️
massive tune. still sounds like it would be at number 1 today.
TOTALLY CORRECT...best comment i've seen in a long while...Michael Perry..YOU ROCK DUDE
