For the modern Indian, who is highly interested in what goes into the makings of his/ her vehicles, this kind of video, explained in simple language, by a real solid expert such as Mr Velusamy, is such a great pleasure to view and learn from. Thanks Sid for bringing this interesting and important information to us. I am a happy customer of Mahindra vehicles for many many years and still remain one, with the new Thar. And I feel very reassured with all the thought, engineering, talent and effort that goes into the making of the new Mahindra vehicles.
Absolutely. Today's youth will be more eager to know how their vehicles are built to add extra assurance when they are making purchase decisions. Imagine a millennial wanting to buy a car who typically does his/her research over here on TH-cam finding such a detailed explanation of a car it'd surely be a deal breaker in terms of confidence to go with this car ! ✌🏻
It's high time we need to support Indian brands by buying Indian owned products so that they generate more revenue for future proofing R & D and for further aquisitions on the lines of JLR,Norton, KTM, etc. Let our capital circulate within our country, avoid capital drain from our economy. Let Indian brands make more profit. There is no need to give our hard earned money as profit to japanese chinese Koreans Germans etc... Let's support our Indian brands to give them a level playing field against MNCs from developed economies.
@@niriap9780 Well said. Why should we buy other brands when our homegrown brands are offering world class safety, features and quality? Let's support our products.
Thank you Mahindra for pioneering in this segment and creating new bench marks. I feel proud that an Indian car is pushing many segments all at once. This video helps me better understand about the internals and design of XUV 700. Transparency creates trust and that is exaclty Mahindra is doing. While competetors are creating colorful ads and social media campaigns to promote their vehicle, Mahindra stands out in showcasing their growth and innovation in this segment. I loved how Siddharth was interviewing Velusamy and this is one gem of a interview.
You are exactly right. 6gb memory, FSD shocks, horizontal dampening at the rear, curtain airbags, Boron Steel etc. It feels so reassuring that the claims what they are making is actually real rather than other cars.
This video should be the standard now for all new vehicle launch videos. We as consumers need to know what kind of Tech and engineering has gone into making the vehicle we choose to spend our hard earned money on and trust our and our family's lives in.
We couldn’t agree more! In fact we have tried this with so many manufacturers and were so happy when Mahindra gave us the access that we requested. We will continue to make the same efforts with many other products, that is SVP‘s promise😃
What an explanation by Velu Sir..Even Anchor also.. I just felt like I went through all concepts of SOM(Strength of Materials) in my Engineering 2nd Semester..
Maruti Suzuki engineer watching this be like “ what are they talking about “? And hope Mahindra brings all these safety and tech to their future cars on the lower segment when compared to XUV 700
Maruti introduced a safe car before but it failed because of price. Indians care about cost than safety. It's not because of ignorance but mainly money. You can only buy peanut for the penny. The truth is less than 1% indians afford to buy cars above 10 lakhs
@SHREYASH DIXIT yes it is 1% may be less. Check your facts. 10% means 10 in 1 people u see on road have cars above 10 lakhs. You might be living in a gated community that's why u think 10%. India is not what u see around your house
Wow It was so great session. It feels me so good that the people have started questioning and getting answers for each and every component. Kudos to Mahinda Proud of Mahinda and India
We need more of this kind of review and less of those which just talk about glint and speed. Very well executed! I am glad that Tata and Mahindra are shining spotlights on people from design and engineering functions while showcasing products, its boring to see sales and marketing folks talk about the product without an iota of knowledge of internals!
This is the first time iam seeing this kind of knowledge of how to made in explaining in scientific way...hats of to the team and Mahemdra...very well done..
It fills my heart with immeasurable joy to see two homegrown Indian manufacturers going toe to toe to make safer cars. First with the Nexon and XUV 300 and now with Harrier and XUV 700. The ultimate winner is the consumer. For the first time in our automobile history, the top two SUVs (in terms of safety and riding dynamics) in two different segments will be from two Indian Manufacturers. And good luck to those for their life still buying tin can ka dabba for mileage. Kudos to the Mahindra team for making such a beast of an SUV. And also to Sid sir, always at the forefront to showcase the safety aspect of Cars. He was the first one who showed how Nexon got 5 stars. Keep making such a gem of video CNB team. SVP, this is THE BEST auto details video I've ever watched. Excellent work. This is really pushing me to exchange my EcoSport to XUV700. I always had in mind that Mahindra had a poor body, It's changed completely now. Great to see an indian manufacturer achieving that top build quality, safety, entertainment and every other thing in a harmony as Velu said. Let's buy indian. I'm gonna buy this master. Suzuki's, Honda's, Hyundai's. . . Learn from Indian. One suggestion to Velu, keep it "hello xuv" alone, not "hello xuv 700". It's a bit long. Hope you guys include this in your s/w update. Great work m&m.
Wow!! I must say it's amazing how you shown ppl what's really goes in it and what matters the most , huge step from mahindra Kudos to them n thanks to you for bringing it to us

Very insightful interview especially the part where the Mahindra employee states is doesn't cost more money to add safety, it's a change in mindset that is required
Hope every car reviewer was like this car and bike video and Motor Vikatan who dissected XUV 700 and explained the technicality behind the manufacturing process instead of just hovering over the features, pros and cons that most of the car and mobile phone reviewers do. Thank you and M&M for making this video educational and entertaining. Hope you make more of this kind of videos in the future too!

Brilliant! Mahindra doing it, not only structurally strong vehicle, but the small things that makes your car last longer. The technical work gone into making this car, be in the engine suspension electronics is just mind-blowing. And the explanation by Mr. Velusamy is really good. This only goes to show that India can make good products at reasonable prices, but we just love charging premium for something that should be a given. The Safari with no bells and whistles bloody cost more than this. I understand the cost of materials have gone up ...but not that up that you start charging premium for everything that is supposed to be there in the first place. Im no fan of Mahindra, but seeing that they're willing to go the extra mile for the customers safety and at a affordable price, is really commendable. Im not car reviewer, I will say it, the Manufacturer who shall not be names is Maruti. The audacity they have to charge the customers with sub par quality cars and also justifying that its safe by "their standard" is just appalling. Mahindra sells cars in Australia and Im sure they have the same built quality as the Indian ones, unlike Maruti Suzuki and Nissan and Kia to name a few. With this new approach, Maybe I will after all buy a Mahindra. The design is a bit loud though....just to add...not subtle like the Safari
Way to go...!!! for Mahindra to bring in all the latest for its existing customer base (which shud now grow even larger) and for You Sid, to bring all this information to Us... Cheers to You Both...
I just love Mahindras, just see the scientific explanation. I want physics class should be like this. No TH-cam no smartphones during our school days. Smiling and crying at the same time.
This is very impressive....I hope everyone got it clear that the plastic tailgate is not made up of any ordinary plastic, it's a fibre plastic. And I remember that one manager of Mahindra Automotive told me about the XUV300's structure, which consists of Boron Steel.. Once again all the best Mahindra.
I wish other automobile companies implement such structure n mechanical parts n technologies...... Basically companies should give 1st priority for safety rather than gemik features n mileage..... I hope lots of customer b aware of this things b4 buying the car blindly......
Excellent informative clip for all customers who are Mahindra fans. My heartiest congratulations to Mahindra in making this wonderful car. Keeping passenger safety to its maximum I am sure that this car will score five stars in crash tests. It makes us proud that Indian car manufacturers are concentrating on passenger safety and giving the buyers latest gadgets for their comforts. They have made a Indian car to a world standards. Keep up Mahindra team. I am very proud of you. God bless.
Excellent video it was worth information being in automobile industry for 30 years I'm still feeling nostalgic to see the progress and the innovation hats of to the team Mr velu it's indeed a complete change orbital change yes
What a great thing you have done sid. It is an awesome video detailing every minute Entity of XUV700. No other video can explain the product better than this one. 👏👏👏👍
Gifting XUV 700 AX3 manual Diesel variant Next year. First it was Tata and now Mahindra just upped their game to next level. Awesome time for car enthusiasts.
Help me understand one thing : The front "trident" junction for impact force spreading - A pillar, floor member and the member on the door top sill - isn't there going to be a gap between the door and the shell ? (Otherwise you can't open the door). Then how will a part of the impact get transferred to the door top sill member ? Is it a dwi-dent (two) initially and later if the shell jams against the door, the 3rd one comes into play ?
Hey Venkatesh, great question. The steel flexes and then comes back to normal position. This is why it is extremely important to have flexibility in high strength steel. 70 to 75% of total force goes via SIL. The door mid reinforcement takes 15% and top A-pillar-cant rail takes another 15%. Hope this helps?
Kudos to Velu Sir and entire team of Mahindra for the awesome XUV700. Thanks also to carandbike team for bringing this very informative video. Just one question on the choice of echip and network provider, is that fixed or can be changed to Jio/Airtel since their network are much better comparatively ?
One of the best explanations of safety and structural information. Thanks Velu sir. And, Sid, good to see you back. Missed you at the first drive of XUV700.
This car might set the standards in M&M for production and quality, I am excited to see the next car fully designed by Mr Pratap Bose. He came in almost just before the launch of the xuv700 and clearly his influence has gone in into the front styling of the car and design logo. Just imagine if he had designed the car from ground up
Just an awesome video or review ever experienced on TH-cam ❤️❤️❤️ Many youtubers are out there who should take a lesson for content to be uploaded 🙏🙏🙏 Wish your channel many more success ahead 🙏
Hi Siddharth, I see the ring structure has beams on the roof as well. Any idea how this is managed in the variants with the panaromic sunroof ? I saw the second vehicle showing the different steels was the one with the panaromic sunroof. Are there significant changes for this ?
Thats a great question. And here's the answer SVP gave to another viewer who also asked it: Around the panoramic roof they have created a ring structure and this ring is again connected to individual rings. If you see it up close, you can see bulge around it. Hence it is very stiff.
Thnx Mr.r velusamy...all gud but plz clear d thing tht is d rear tail door safe while hitting from behind by another car ...is it safe for passenger sitting in 3rd row... U used glass fiber in tht with gud strength... N how much will b d maintenance cost of d suv xuv700 after 3 yrs
one of the best videos in the recent past. Very well designed questions and the way Mr Velu epxlains is amazing. Looks like Mahindra has got a winner on hand. quite amazing.
Lot of information from this video reinforced my decision to go for this car. My only dilemma comes from Government's recent news about E20 blended fuel going mainstream in 2 years. Is the mStallion engine (my choice) future proof in this regard ?
@@shibiganesan Yes, but most engines can tolerate upto 10-15 % blending, that too with certain disadvantages such as shortening of life of injectors. Now Govt. is saying 20-22 % blending. Also BS6 has nothing to do with Ethanol blending. Ethanol also creates other problems as it tends to absorb moisture, hence fuel stations require special storage once blending percentage increases. Had it been so easy we would not have imported crude oil and run every thing on pure Ethanol.
On side note, Ethanol, mostly comes from Sugar industry, which is already water intensive. Research has shown that Ethanol is harmful as its supply chain uses large amounts of water, degrades land and also that land can be used for other food crops. Can't summarise everything here, but Ethanol is not wise, only profitable for people who own Sugar Factories. Shift should be on carbon neutral fuels (whose making and distribution dont consume energy, and they don't emit GHGs). This is just going to make cars costlier to make (if not run also), which is a good thing if Govt. does not want more cars on road.
The best video i have ever watched for any automobile. Simply meticulous and highly informative. Keep shining and stay GOLD 🏆🎖 . Proud of Mahindra automotive…. For giving us an Indian product with global standards Regards …. Major Arun 🫡
Truly atmanirbhar.. blockbuster product and will break competition.. I am surprised m&m is going allin instead of creating progressive feature add-on on n form of annual facelifts like the competition. awesome presentation by SVP as usual .
Great Video. Very informative and a great opportunity to learn how Engineering works in designing a Car especially for me who does not know Engineering. Dont know how 30 mins gone and dint even skip 1 second of this Video. CnB rocks as usual. Again tanq so much for this Video.
First of all we buy Mahindra because we want to advance Indian vehicle, but as soon as you people met each other in this video why am I ashamed to greet each other like this Mukabji, is this emotion in me? Mahindra is not judging in any way, if you are also indigenous with culture, then everything will progress through culture, by the way, it is good to hear from you people and you people have done a great job Jai Hind
Amazing experience by listening to these Gentlemen. Crisp & Sound Info 👌 Confidence just upped to another level to buy this beast. Patience always pays off.
Very informative. Thanks a lot Sid and Mr. Veluswamy. Cheers for making the greatest sales chartbuster of all time for M&M. Its been a long wait for me to upgrade from a 5OO. 👌🤗👍👍
This is perhaps the right way of approach for a video that reviews an automobile. The science of designing and building a vehicle must be on the forefront than the 0-60/0-100 statistics, after all these are not meant to be driven on race tracks. Though it was all about the vehicle and it's engineering the finest ingredient in this video were those two humans, the guest was superfine and the host matched him with equal elegance. Even the tone and pitch of thier voice was so candid that it enhanced the viewing and listening experience.
There is a lot of mutual trust and admiration these gentlemen have for the amount of hard work each of them puts into everything they do. That rapport certainly does shine through, and it’s amazing that you have picked up on it so intuitively. Thank you so much
@@carandbike Indeed, this embodeies what 'Make in India' is all about. S V P's approach has always been very contextual, the way he reviews a car, looking forward to more such content.

That's our job, to make them aware!! And we will keep doing it. Thanks Praveen!
A gold standard video about a gold standard global product
Glad u liked it!
What a great thing you have done sid. It is an awesome video detailing every minute Entity of XUV700. No other video can explain the product better than this one. 👏👏👏👍
Big big thank you from Siddharth🙏🏼
Gifting XUV 700 AX3 manual Diesel variant Next year. First it was Tata and now Mahindra just upped their game to next level. Awesome time for car enthusiasts.
Help me understand one thing :
The front "trident" junction for impact force spreading - A pillar, floor member and the member on the door top sill - isn't there going to be a gap between the door and the shell ? (Otherwise you can't open the door). Then how will a part of the impact get transferred to the door top sill member ? Is it a dwi-dent (two) initially and later if the shell jams against the door, the 3rd one comes into play ?
Hey Venkatesh, great question. The steel flexes and then comes back to normal position. This is why it is extremely important to have flexibility in high strength steel. 70 to 75% of total force goes via SIL. The door mid reinforcement takes 15% and top A-pillar-cant rail takes another 15%. Hope this helps?
You guys are speaking in gods language
Kudos to Velu Sir and entire team of Mahindra for the awesome XUV700. Thanks also to carandbike team for bringing this very informative video. Just one question on the choice of echip and network provider, is that fixed or can be changed to Jio/Airtel since their network are much better comparatively ?
Good information sir tanks to ndtv ....spl tanks to patankar sir I'm big fan of car&bike show science my college days 🙏👍
Thanks Santosh. We appreciate your long support
Amazing to see M&M an Indian company focussing on safety. Kudos to M&M research team !!!!!
One of the best explanations of safety and structural information. Thanks Velu sir. And, Sid, good to see you back. Missed you at the first drive of XUV700.
More coming from SVP on this car, don't worry! And thanks!
This car might set the standards in M&M for production and quality, I am excited to see the next car fully designed by Mr Pratap Bose. He came in almost just before the launch of the xuv700 and clearly his influence has gone in into the front styling of the car and design logo. Just imagine if he had designed the car from ground up
One of the best videos for automobile enthusiasts....
What a great informative interview by SVP of Veelu Sir. Thank you!
Thanks!
Amazing 👏
Kudos to Mahindra
Mahindra v2.0 unleashed
Just an awesome video or review ever experienced on TH-cam ❤️❤️❤️ Many youtubers are out there who should take a lesson for content to be uploaded 🙏🙏🙏 Wish your channel many more success ahead 🙏
Thanks Shreyash!!
And here's the answer SVP gave to another viewer who also asked it:
Around the panoramic roof they have created a ring structure and this ring is again connected to individual rings.
Thanks Vinay, we will pass on your feedback to Velu!
Lot of information from this video reinforced my decision to go for this car. My only dilemma comes from Government's recent news about E20 blended fuel going mainstream in 2 years. Is the mStallion engine (my choice) future proof in this regard ?
Every car being manufactured now in bs6 can run on ethanol blended fuel, that is the Govt. Guidelines and all manufacturers are following it
@@shibiganesan Yes, but most engines can tolerate upto 10-15 % blending, that too with certain disadvantages such as shortening of life of injectors. Now Govt. is saying 20-22 % blending.
@@thesatvikbahaley Yes that would need a change in fuel lines. But 10-15% would not be a problem with existing mStallion setup
Kudos to M and M for keeping these things open to customers
The best video i have ever watched for any automobile. Simply meticulous and highly informative. Keep shining and stay GOLD 🏆🎖 . Proud of Mahindra automotive…. For giving us an Indian product with global standards Regards …. Major Arun 🫡
Truly atmanirbhar.. blockbuster product and will break competition.. I am surprised m&m is going allin instead of creating progressive feature add-on on n form of annual facelifts like the competition. awesome presentation by SVP as usual .
Agree Vinod! On both points!!
Great Video. Very informative and a great opportunity to learn how Engineering works in designing a Car especially for me who does not know Engineering. Dont know how 30 mins gone and dint even skip 1 second of this Video. CnB rocks as usual. Again tanq so much for this Video.
Hey Raj, we really appreciate your saying so. That was indeed the idea!
Best video ever explained such deeply scientific way and dynamic.
Thank you so much
Mahindra is just at fabulous level👍
Eagerly waiting for the production side video. how this huge R&D was implemented in the production.
Great video as alwz.
Mahindra not only manufacturing cars. They can explain physics better than many eng colleges
Siddharth has that vintage class ....loved. The topic .also please make similar video on engines and transmission
Ringing all the right bells this gem of a vehicle 🔔
How I wish each new car be reviewed this way
How we wish too! It was great Mahindra gave us this access.
@@carandbike Indeed, this embodeies what 'Make in India' is all about.
S V P's approach has always been very contextual, the way he reviews a car, looking forward to more such content.
Thank you so much velu sir for giving this valuable information for us and Im requesting you 🙏 Mr. Patankar sir please make this type of knowledgable videos of other cars also
Wow this is amazing information.
Keep doing this for other manufacturers or rivals.
I am ready to buy this car after this video.
By the way i can see white colour 😍😍
It's always a pleasure hearing Mr Velusamy. Very knowledgeable 👌👍👍👍
This is very good technical insight into the technology that has gone into the xuv700. Very comprehensive explanation by mr. Velu...SVP as usual is at his best 👍
Thanks Vasu!!
Mahindra ne dil jeet Liya 😍😍
thanks for providing us tour of the new mahindra xuv , its amazing to see the enhancement in the car and the art of perfection.
Superb knowledge. Must buy over anything. Proud of Mahindra.
Sir why was there no sliding function in 2nd row? It would've made the 3rd row viable for adults
One of the best videos I have seen about car features and capability. Safety has never been explained this well.
How's it comparing to the competition today - two years later though? Maybe a follow up video 🤔
Very nicely explained by both of you, this video explains the engineering behind the vehicle how it made & how all the things works, I understand lots of things because i am currently pursuing Mechanical engineering & have a lots of interest in automobile's, thanks car & bikes Channel to make this video 👍
Couldn't realise how 30 mins passed... Great job..
That is the best testimony to putting our doubts to rest - on whether such videos tend to become too long. At the end of the day we don’t want to skimp on the information (according to SVP that is what should matter, so that everything is put before you, our audience)! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
@@carandbike 💙
Wow, Kudios to the team, and SID for bringing this video, One of the best videos
Many thanks Suvin. I am so glad you liked it. SVP
Thanks Siddharth ji. Keep up the good work you are doing. 👍
Many thanks
Thank you for creating this and sharing. Very detailed. Loved it! Would you be making Powertrains section video as well? Eager to see that aspect.. :-)
Would you like that? And thanks for your appreciation!
@@carandbike Eagerly waiting for it. Especially engine management, pressure bar value and much more. The technicalities always help to gauge the expected power delivery. If the content is ready, please upload it soon. Can't wait! Thank you once again to the entire team. Extremely informative video! :-)
This video increases respect for Mahindra and Xuv700 in particular. Good video
Beautifully explained. Very rich content.
Amazing technology. But why very less bootspace?
Amazing explanation Great Good Carry on boss 👍👍
