this keyboard was the first keyboard to have 100 songs and the YES system could be used efficiantly as that was also introduced. back in 1998 this keyboard was a brilliant alternative to the psr 330 at the time
I had a psr195 years ago then seen a yamaha sy85 in a local second hand shop, the rest as I say is history along with the countless arrangers and synths since. Very happy with my current collection though
Funny I thought I had this board but seems I have the PSR 175 and PSR 190 lol! I never did find THIS model in the fleamarket for $5 like the others! Seems to have some nice presets. Though honestly I have to say, when I see or say "YAMAHA" I think of the 1980s FM synths in very techno green-grey-black with lots of red LED lights motif keyboards that were YAMAHA!! I really liked those synths and portable keyboards best. They were made better and with stronger individually replaceable keys! The 1990s had a flood of these cheap PCM sampled keyboards with weak crappy keybeds and hollow plastic cases with small electronic boards inside. Crazy enough the PRO keyboards were a great improvement over the 80s versions but there seemed to be SOME pro version keys that used some cheap plastic keys like the PSR195 and the like. Which I have to say, is a kiss of death! Why? Because after a few years of playing them, the keys become unresponsive or misfiring due to the rubber contacts that the keys snap back upto when you release the keys.. A VERY strange design flaw! Later 2000s based portasound keyboards and some semi pro units improved the all plastic keybed and frankly I have not seen any keybed issues since! Oh Yamaha.. :-D
@@gearfacts Oh my friend, you linked the wrong video. That is the PSR 3500 which is a DASS system all plastic keyboard with the same PSR195 keybed I love to hate. The PSR 6500/6700 is a PRO arranger line from 1992-93 if I am not mistaken, which also had the PSR-SQ16. It had the pro unweighted synth keys of the DX11/SY55/YS200/B200?QS300 and had the 40x2 line green backlit LCD screen of the DX7II FD/SY85. Most of the sounds were the new XG midi standard to add to the then still new GM standard! The 6500 had the 61 keys and the 6700 had the 76 keys. Both had a floppy drive.
Its funny when i tried to make the slower touch to make the keys i touch softer. But it didn't work at all.. it was all because this is the old Yamaha education suite keyboard that has 61 keys. qwq
I borrowed this keyboard from my friend for the purpose of my son’s keyboard exam but unable to change the tempo. Do you know how I could change the tempo in this keyboard?
It’s been a long time since I’ve had this keyboard but isn’t it the uptown buttons in the little cross of buttons at the lower left? If not try the plus/minus buttons on the right hand side under the numeric keypad.
Tive um desse desde meus 7 anos, ganhei ele zerado na caixa, um excelente instrumento, porém há uns 5 anos atrás ele simplesmente queimou a placa... Parabéns pelo video!!!
the psr 220 is a keyboard from 1996. an all time favorite of mine. it has 128 total voices, 100 styles, 16 demo songs, 1 drum kit, and an easy to use interface. styles are stripped down versions of those found in the psr 7000, but still a worth while keyboard. I started my musical interest with this keyboard. there is also the yamaha psr 230 which is exactly the same, but this time you can use optional music cartridges which often times had great midi files on them
This was the keyboard of my childhood that I learned piano with… I now have a newer Yamaha PSR-E363 but I still respect this one

Piano sounds really good
I have yamaha psr 280, I bought 21 years ago, the condition is still OK.
Thanks.

Best keyboard review ever
It was the exceptional playing, right?
Donde puedo encontrar esos stylos internos de ese yamaha
I would try to find a Facebook group that likes this keyboard, someone might be able to help there
This was my very first keyboard that I got for Christmas in 1998!
You're really catching up with some old friends here! Glad you liked the video :)
@@gearfacts Yes! I am glad you have videos on these! Brings back memories!

Agree with all comments there!
This sounds great. Wow. Although no Touch Response. But sounds almost the same as PSR-E363.
The yamaha psr 195 and the yamaha psr 79 are 1998
The Casio wk 220 is 9 years old
मेने इसी से शुरुआत किथी बहुत प्यारा था।अब मिल सकता क्या ये किसी के पास चालू हालत मे
Gearfacts can you make a video about the yamaha psr 6700 keyboard
I will try to find one. I've looked at the PSR6500 which is similar: th-cam.com/video/-0Kng4VlcnE/w-d-xo.html

Uhh, can I know how to enable sustain w/o pedal?? Please help me🙏
I'm not aware of any way to do it sorry. All I can suggest is the manual and you can get that by googling the model name followed by "PDF"
can you play the demo songs
Haven't got it anymore sorry!

Gearfacts win did the yamaha psr 195 came out ?
I'm guessing very late 90's
1998
how can I operate transpose function in this model?
Press the function key repeatedly until 'transpose' appears (I think)

Parece que teve uma vida boa! Que bom que gostou do video :)
Do keyboards start getting old by 10 or 15 or 21 years old
Not necessarily. The Roland XP series for example is about 25 years and they still sound great and look cool.
@@gearfacts yep I certainly agree with that, I have the xp 80 and due to the expansion boards it still beats a lot of competition
My childhood keyboard
How can you tell if a keyboard starts getting old
By keeping track of the year it was released
😂😂😂@@jaquesteddyruxpin932
Does this keyboard have a built in recording feature ? Thankyou
Yep, if you follow this link to the manual and go to page 41 it's all there: usa.yamaha.com/files/download/other_assets/0/317540/PSR195E.pdf
Can I please tell you how old my keyboards are
You can talk about anything you like on my channel :)
Does it have full size keys?
Full size, yes, but there are only 61 of them and they're not weighted like a piano.
Sustain?
yep
@@gearfacts please tell me, how to turn it on..
@@Simbolonese The power button on the left isn't working?

It does indeed.
is there any yamaha keyboard from 1996?
if there is can you tell me that?
I'm fairly sure the immortal DJX was released in 1996. One of my all-time favorites!
