Hey guys I tried my hardest but looks like I wont be playing this amazing game. I've been following this game for an astounding 12 years and has been my most anticipated game of all time. Sadly earlier this year I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer I was diagnosed early and had been in treatment ever since but looks like my time has ran out as my doctors did their best and hardest to treat it. I now have an estimated weeks left of time. As my last wish, Please Enjoy this amazing project as much as I would have enjoyed it and support the creator in finishing this awesome game as well as many more amazing games like these in the future! Thanks to those who have been here with me in this amazing journey and wish each and every one of you maverick hunters an amazing journey ahead

The animation characters, effects of abilities, the combos, the Soundtrack, the underboss you have to face from start to finish, the color palette, the stage itself. The game dazzles in its maximum splendor. It's pretty cool to see how you progress and how good it looks. I think it undoubtedly deserves Capcom's credit for approval. You really can see the effort put into this

Christian Whitehead had his own fan made Sonic engine and when Sega released a shitty mobile port of Sonic, he contacted Sega and said he could do it better. They took him up on his offer and ended up being so impressed that when he said he wanted to make a new Sonic game, they agreed.
I think its too good for an endorsement.. Part of me feels MMxSF got an endorsement because it was one of the worst MM fan games of the decade and they showed it off because it made even 80s mega man games look like master pieces.
This has transcended being just another fan game. This here folks, in my humble opinion has the potential to be the greatest Mega Man game in existence.

It's just a little side hobby, I'm still in the very early stages of making it, and it's kind of shitty. It's in the style of the 8 bit games but with some of mechanics from the MMX games (wall jumping, air dashing, etc.)

I feel like even the developer was struggling with all of those blocks, like "Why did I put so many DAMN blocks!!". Every time I see this sprite work it is *chef's kiss*, I can't wait to play this!!!
its not the first one to do it, but it does it better then the ones in MMX 5&6. those are just annoying full level gimmicks till the boss. ironically i just realized those and this boss all are aquatic themed bosses duff mcwhalen (whale) and infinity mijinion (water flee)
It calls back to previous aquatic levels in the series, which often tend to also fall into the role of the "midboss level" Even Jet Stingray's level has a bit of that with Stingray himself intercepting the player twice mid level
The difference is that this one actually takes part on the boss battle. Unlike other mid bosses that only tries to beat you, this one helps the stage boss, that combined with the boss fighting style makes it overwhealming at certain point. Simply amazing
I was today years old when I realized this stage is supposed to be the wrecked remains of the Maverick Hunter airship that the intro stage took place on.
Yeah, I thought that was super cool, and opens up a lot more depth of gameplay to be able to bait them into getting hit. I'm guessing that's just the corrupted Hunters? (Which is what I'm guessing that guy is.)
I wish Capcom would recognize your talent, this is amazing and would love for this to be official. I can’t wait till you’re done with the game, going to clear out a weekend for this!
This keeps getting greater than I think any of us imagined. To have made such an comprehensive sealife area and consider things like darkness in the depths is amazing.
I love this so much! I absolutely love the fact that the robot kraken is pursuing the player for a lot of the level, only to show up in the fight with Force Starfish and bug you there too. Also, I love the dark look to the level. Not sure if this is another one of those effects that happen if you beat another level first, but it looks great and makes the boss fight look even better than it did before. These updates are always incredibly exciting and never fail to impress. Keep up the superb work!
Hype ? After 14 years ? Boy some people are hopeless, you will never play this game, and even if you do, you'll aways have the "waited 14 years for a game" stamp on your forehead.
This level, more than any other that I've seen yet (and I've been here awhile), shows off the sheer magnitude of skill and imagination these devs have. The squid chase and battles are just AWESOME!!! Well done! ✌
Just to let everyone know who's not in the discord, the game is still alive and kicking. Progress is being made constantly by the team, and they currently updating the character select screen. For those who are assuming that JKB is pulling and Yandere Dev, there is not Patreon. At most, there is a donation bid on the twitch streams, where they work on the game live.

This is the coolest boss yet. I love the reset animation after the starfish coil gets destroyed. The mantis shrimp style shockwave attack from that crab thing is such a cool aesthetic, there’s just so much going on that hits in all the right ways, and even if I never play it, it’s a total joy to watch all of this

See, the minor details added, lighting, thematic level designs are why I continue to fund support this👏. Can't even play yet but you can almost feel the game, the level of care going in, even if you don't follow the dev hardcore. Keep it up JKB 👍

The level of detail on display here is simply way more than we're used to expecting. It puts the official games to shame. That said, this stage looks like an absolute nightmare of anti-fun difficulty.

This game is such a labor of love and it shows in every facet. As a devoted MMX fan since the first game came out, I can see it. Really, really great work. So cool ... Love it
This game for me is pure nostalgia, you could take more than 10 years creating this beauty but I swear that I will wait until you release it officially and I swear that I would be willing to pay up to 100$ bucks in order to have a game that takes me to childhood and that this very well done and with love. (Not that I want to overestimate your game or anything like that, but I have seen the progress of the game for years and it is simply what every lover of the Mega Man Saga has always wanted for decades) I sincerely hope that you continue with this project and that if you get it out, it will be as you always dreamed it would be.

Any fan of Megaman would pay at ease to have a game like that seeing the trajectory it has (thanks to Capcom or not) your comment has no place in what a consumer counts, and in any case as if there were no games to entertain themselves until that he decides to officially launch it. It's also not like there are "many" Magaman games today that are worth skipping over Megaman 11 which literally took 20 years.

I think for that long that project is going on and for that amazing quality of development, capcom should nicely have a good look on it. This game have absolutely EVERYTHING of what any MMX fan would like in a game of the franchise. The old 2D pixel look is so amazing, so detailed, the mechanics looks so responsive and still oldschool, the impressive design, the metroidvania style and all the armors, secrets and content you can enjoy... Man... I don't even care anymore about the realease date... I just give my best wishes for the most nice progress the team can achieve with the game and Capcom don't dmca the project. Capcom, please, give money to that people! Keep it up guys!

The narrative that is constructed in this stage is pretty incredible, what with this octopus miniboss leading directly to the stage boss. Awesome storytelling right here.

I think the quantity of blocks and enemies depends on the difficulty.

The level of detail on display here is simply way more than we're used to expecting. It puts the official games to shame. That said, this stage looks like an absolute nightmare of anti-fun difficulty.
This is S Class difficulty, so yes, it is very difficult.
I'm willing to bet the snes couldnt support what's going on in this game at this capacity...

This game for me is pure nostalgia, you could take more than 10 years creating this beauty but I swear that I will wait until you release it officially and I swear that I would be willing to pay up to 100$ bucks in order to have a game that takes me to childhood and that this very well done and with love. (Not that I want to overestimate your game or anything like that, but I have seen the progress of the game for years and it is simply what every lover of the Mega Man Saga has always wanted for decades)
I sincerely hope that you continue with this project and that if you get it out, it will be as you always dreamed it would be.

Any fan of Megaman would pay at ease to have a game like that seeing the trajectory it has (thanks to Capcom or not) your comment has no place in what a consumer counts, and in any case as if there were no games to entertain themselves until that he decides to officially launch it.
It's also not like there are "many" Magaman games today that are worth skipping over Megaman 11 which literally took 20 years.

I think for that long that project is going on and for that amazing quality of development, capcom should nicely have a good look on it. This game have absolutely EVERYTHING of what any MMX fan would like in a game of the franchise. The old 2D pixel look is so amazing, so detailed, the mechanics looks so responsive and still oldschool, the impressive design, the metroidvania style and all the armors, secrets and content you can enjoy... Man... I don't even care anymore about the realease date... I just give my best wishes for the most nice progress the team can achieve with the game and Capcom don't dmca the project.
Capcom, please, give money to that people!

After A brief skim through the comments I don't think anyone payed any respect to how much better and reactive of a player you seem to have become from previous showcase videos. That comeback on starfish, especially with the two warp strikes to dodge his attacks in a literal no escape corner. Fucking epic my friend you had me at the edge of my seat!
