    These are illegal food hawkers unsafe for tourists and pedestrians to walk on the street in BKK.🙏

    One of the ways I describe Bangkok is that it is very modern from the sky train up and very Thai at the street level. Phrom Phong illustrates this perfectly. Emporium and EmQuartier are modern international shopping malls. At the street level, right in front of them, is street food and massage shops (legit massage and the other kind).

    While you were looking at the street food you walked by Mustard, an excellent scone shop. Every week I go for a Thai massage in that area and afterwards I pick up a few scones from Mustard.

    Great to see you on Bangkok Pat's channel!
    Another one of your awesome videos that keeps me plugged into my 'second home'. You are bang on with the contrast between (awesome) cheap street food, and up one floor (Another Hound in the Emporium) for an upscale foodie experience. Can't wait to get back!!!

    while I was in Bangkok last January, I was looking for Indian Veg. items like "Pani Puri' "Bhelpuri" "Chat" "Idli-Dosa" on the Street Mkt. at Sukumvit-Nana areas but none was available! So had to fret out at Hotels which burnt my purse!

    I can see that someone in a wheelchair can use the elevator in the emporium. Provided they don't lock you out at some point in the day while BTS is still running

    I allways wondered, do people who buy meals heat it up back at work or at home or do they just eat it as it is?

      I’ve come to realize that Thais have a different relationship to food temperature than in the west. We are taught to eat foods fresh from cooking (eat it while its hot!). It seems not to be a priority here. My wife will tell me to heat foods just out of the refrigerator but otherwise room temp seems to be normal. It took me a while to appreciate eating hot soups in a hot climate too.

      Where are the men, 95% are women that do the selling, do the husbands/etc. have different jobs or so?

    • @pannachawangkul585
      @pannachawangkul585 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Jahtweedy Yes, most men are either construction workers, taxi drivers, farm machine operators, etc. This is the opposite from the Middle Eastern and near East countries, where men are the hawkers instead of women.
