David I’m writing you many hours after your live. I’m 69years young and I agree with person who wrote you that life is a series of ups and downs. It’s taken me many years to appreciate that every day brings something to be thankful for. As for Christmas and/or New Years, I think there are ALOT of us around the globe who spend those holidays alone. There’s so much hype about going to party’s and being with lots of people. You are not alone about being ALONE! I enjoy your show and I think you are amazing. Sending you much love and appreciation! Borahae friend!

Hi David. I hope you enjoyed your cake with your grandmother. The IU thing works both ways. A friend of mine heard about some K pop artist being cancelled, so he checked them out. He did not know who IU was, but he immediately fell in love with her voice and he’s streaming her music continuously. He knew nothing about K-pop. He’s also starting to listen to more K-pop. All my hard work over the years to get him into K-pop failed. Some old people trying to cancel IU did it. 😂
Thank you for the live streams. I usually catch the weekend streams because they are at a good time (for me in Spain), the Tuesday streams are impossible except on nights when I have insomnia.
Wishing you all the best for the coming year Amor, Salud y dinero as we say in Spain (love, health and money).

Merry Christmas David! Phew!!! Over 3 hours!! It took me a minute to watch it all. Lol. Where do I begin, hmmm? I wrote a book on Patreron, so I will keep it short here. I learned a secret about parents after becoming one myself. They know, but most refused and are afraid to admit they are wrong. After all they had the same fight with their parents and swore they would be better parents. So, break the cycle like me and encourage their children. But most don't. Anyway. I think you actually accomplished a lot this year. It's ok to be disappointed with yourself as long as you learn something from it. Never compared your accomplishment or failures to others. You are unique, and I hope you find someone who can appreciate the person you are. Hope you have a great Christmas.

Merry Christmas, David! Pre-Christmas time is always hella stressful, at least for me, so I feel like I'm especially sensitive and overwhelmed and prone to fall into a depressive episode during that time of the year. But taking a little break around Christmas and/or New Years usually helps to recharge and get back into a more relaxed and better mood. I'll be on a trip to Tokyo very soon, and I'm super excited about it, but I also hope it won't tire me out too much because I am in fact, very much in need of recharging and getting back into a better mood! xD I hope you have some time to do that during the festive season, please take care of yourself and don't let anyone tell you what you should do or not do, I think you're doing great and if this job is what makes you happy, that's the most important! All the best to you and your loved ones for 2025!
Greetings from Sky, a Noona from Austria

surviving a tough year is a success by itself🎉and the good thing about a crisis is that it becomes immediately obvious who is on your side to support you and who is not (speaking from experience 😂)

David, have you considered a step by step “moving to Korea” series, outlining things people need to know, paperwork, resources, neighborhoods, etc? Like a “moving to Korea” starter pack

33:50 Hello! I rarely post any comments but since I saw a couple of videos of you and the topic seems to appear more often.. Firstly, never judge your achievements with the words of others. Our society is structured in such a way with the countless awards and accolades that one can receive. These awards are nothing more than the materialization of achievements, as people mostly need material confirmation to realize something (very generally speaking). But those accolades are still in you just in an untouchable state. the hurdle is to make it "tangible" and realize it. You yourself said that you have achieved this and that and you seem to be proud of it, so be proud of it and realize your achievement in your mind. Just because it has no material body does not mean that it has less value or a submissive value to material things. On the other hand, you would not benefit if they spoke well of you (for a short time, excess of joy hormones, mainly dopamine, but not for the long term) since then your dependency on outsider's comments would increase and damage yourself even more. To be honest, I prefer people not knowing much or the minimum; it leads to less jealousy and also negative energy from others and feel less pressure (just the pressure from myself to myself to achieve my personal goals). MERRY CHRISTMAS🎄

I'm around the same age as you, David, and my mom is the typical baby boomer. I work in the Equestrian industry and make over six figures, and my mom is ashamed of my job. I don't even live in the same country as her and only see her once a year. Yet she still never stops, bringing up, "When are you going to grow up and get a real job and move back home? Both my parents were office workers, and mom always wanted me to be an engineer or lawyer or get a government job and work in an office.

I visited Busan a couple weeks ago, and it’s such a nice and clean city! Even if you don’t move there, staying for a few months might help you refresh. And now’s probably the best time, since things tend to slow down in the beginning of the year. Hopefully you’ll be able to figure things out! Also maybe look into neighboring cities in 인천 or 경기도.

    Hi David,
I think your mom has a lot in common with my mom. (My mom just likes to criticize me. She likes to tell me everything that is wrong with me and No I am not a TH-camr.)
I think life just has a lot of ups and downs. The end of the year is always hectic.
    Hang in there.
The apartments you were showing look great.

David, you are only in the first 1/3 of your life at 32; there are still many years in your life in which you don’t know what is coming. And contrary to what you know, you are making a positive change in pushing Korean culture with KPC. Although there are other content creators talking about Korean culture, your speech delivery is the only one which embodies sprezzatura; which makes it easy to follow

same. successful people say to ZERO in on only 1 skill and master it. Once you have it down and your making lots of money then that's when you can add 1 more skill then another. Its like kpop idols. They train and train aggresively for years to be an kpop idol. Then once they are settled and are successful in it, then they do might kdramas, or radio, or TH-cam, etc.. you can't be training for kpop idol and also for kdramas and also doing youtube. and radio. why not try and add skills 1 by 1 as you succeed in them.

I think mostly everyone feels like this at the end of the year. I've learned to just "ride the wave" so to speak. You're going to fall on your back a lot. There are things we just can't control that can have an impact on the success of our businesses/work/future goals, ect.(Economy, Health, Relationship problems ect.)... Don't be too hard on yourself... My story is a long, sad, and complicated one, as to why I've been at a stand still for 20+ years, and haven't been able to achieve the dreams and goals I want. I'm 49 now, but I have no intentions of quitting or giving up. I've noticed in Korean culture that age is a huge deal. Like if you're 5 years older than someone else, you're considered old lol. Correct me if I'm wrong. I'm still trying to learn about the culture. But there are people that are "late bloomers" in achievements and success. Society always wants to say "If you haven't gotten/achieved such and such by 25-30 years old, then it's over for you". That's a load of BS. I trained as model/actress in my late 20's and they told me 30 was old! I wasn't ok with that stigma, so I left the business. Plus the fact that I had guys stalking me and trying to follow me home. That scared me to death, so I got out of that business. I probably could've made it if I would've stayed, but I saw and heard a lot of behind the scenes stuff that I just was not ok with... Anyway, sorry about the novel. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I’m watching where you’re scared to let go of your other job. This year I changed my city and my career at 31. It was scary because I was so comfortable there but honestly I needed it. You do a lot so you shouldn’t say you haven’t done anything. But you seem to be stretching yourself thin. You’re one person and if you want to see real progress you might consider taking things off your plate and going hard at things you want to most. Change is SO scary! Especially for people that are anxious and scared of change(nothing wrong with being scared). Just depends how badly you want something to. Some people take baby steps and some people jump off a cliff. Do what’s best for you. 😌

TBH, it makes more sense for u to just live in Busan. Even that reason of having meetings in person in Seoul is not good enough to live in Seoul. U could just take a few trips a year to Seoul for networking/meetings etc. U don't need to live permanently in Seoul.

Well, teachers here in Germany earn really good, over 4k a month ;) so yeah, your mom is right when it comes to stability , safe job etc but if a normal government job in Korea doesn't pay you more than your youtube job then you should stick to youtube!
