@@Trialnerror thanks for the quick reply, and actually I was looking for slimmer head units recently when I came across your video in an old forum thread. I'm fairly experienced in 12 volt audio, how bad was it to wire into the original infotainment system for lights on the window controls, etc?
I wonder if this can be done to the quattroporte, same nit cables id assume.

Why did you get rid of the ask amp ?
Did you have to install the old radio in trunk, in order to get the gages working? Anymore instructions to install?
Nope, I removed everything. Gauges will work on their own without the NIT display unit.
