I need a guide for the DLCs as well, i pay for all DLCs on a monthly basis.
Finally i can learn how to use navy after 8 years
Sorry but no
Haha so young so naive
Navy still sucks after 1000h 😅😅
same
Steal the British navy and relax
most of us have well over 500 hours in this game and yet we are still watching this
got 3.200 and am watching :)
i mean 3,200 got the comma mixed up, oops.
I commend myself for Understanding about 40% of Navy by the time I had 450 Hours into the game
Im 10hrs cuz i new
I got 1300 but i still watch 😂❤
You know the game is good when you need a tutorial to play the tutorial
lol
Wow what a handsome TH-camr 😍
It was a pleasure to make this, thank you so much for the opportunity again! I hope this is able to help new players out!😀
Thanks for making this!
thank u alot !
I always thought your channel was harambee time 😭

After 400+ hours, I can finally learn how to do naval invasions. Thank you PDX! ❤
I can add Heart of Iron IV to my resume as one of my skill set after this tutorial.
1.5k hours and counting, keep the updates/dlc coming !!

Exactly! Thanks @hammotimee!
You're welcome! 😀
The best strategy game I have ever played!
Keep up the work
if this gets 500 likes, i dare you to give game for free
Somethings up. First a trailer, now a beginners guide?
ARE YOU MAKING HOI5??
its probaly just to celebtrate the new base edition of hoi4, plus they still have 2-3 dlcs to make before the game is in a "finished" state
@@yeetneet5334 and the game is free for the weekend, so if new players search will stumble upon this.
Hoi4 just got a 80% off discount, there is likely more beginners. I personally have watched hoi4 content but am just now actually buying the game.
@@jacksonhoiland2664gl in your first play through
usually pdx games last around a decade so it'll probably be a few more years and dlc's before we get to hoi5
the best work from the best devs ! cheers
I learned the hard way for myself.
Ironically, easier than the tutorial.
Remind me when I was playing as Soviet Union & attacking Finland. Back then I though capturing Helsinki will force Finland to unconditional surrender, ignoring the Fact they already capturing Leningrad & Moskow, and more 😂.
Such a well done video for us new players. Thank you!
We love Hammo's voice! 🙌🙌🙌 hope we keep collaborating with him
Thanks man, finally an easy and clear tutorial to help me getting into HOI4. Appreciated! 😍
I am already pretty good at HOI4, but i stopped by to see if there was anything new I could learn. And to my great surprise, the one doing the OFFICIAL guide is the same guy who taught me everything I know about HOI4. what a champion, Hammotime!
A straightforward and comprehensive guide.
Proper Hoi4 tutorial, after 8 years in development hopefully it will have been worth the wait
Very helpful, thanks!
Thank you Supreme Commander for this video!
I have 500 hours
Oh my God... That helped me out! Thank you!👌👌
Awesome guide. Thank you
it was about time
Thank you, paradox. I used parts of this video in my review of HOI4.
What am I doing here with my 4000 hours in HOI 4
Amazing tutorial!
Covers all bases!
Great guide. This is the one I will be sending to new players from now on.
Thanks heaps! 😊
Instructions unclear, accidently made Spanish Spain
very good tutorial! I now understand this game better thanks to this guy! I am super excited to play this game with my friends!!! :D
Thanks so much legend!
I have watched this 2 times and i am still clueless how to play this game but its great that you guys uploaded a tutorial
The guy who wrote this guide must be incredibly handsome you should 100% work with him again.

Agreed 😆
This game is something else, most games lose popularity over time, but this one just keeps growing 🎉
Thanks,in three years I learned to play hoi4
Did this seriously come out the week after I start making sense of the game’s basics. If only the game was 1% more complex, then it would’ve taken long enough for this video to come out beforehand.
Jokes aside, and for the behalf of others. Good guide. It’s good to see one that’s official.
Perfect! I knew letting Hoi4 collect dust for 2 years in my installed Steam games library would pay off! In 1 hour, I will finally play!
This is... a pleasant surprise.
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
I've been waiting so long for this game to finally get more content before I play it and finally there is an up-to-date tutorial for it, perfect. Is there always war in HOI4 eventually, or are there also periods of peace, like in EU4 and CK3?
Played CK3 and it’s great. About to try this game now.
HANDSOME! i still need this after 100 hours of game. Well done
Why thank you 😍
Hope they add more start dates, that would be cool!
Amazing that you guys help beginners with a "quick" and honestly wonderful tutorial. Props to you Paradox and @hammotimee!
Thanks so much legend!!
Excited waiting for the monetary system implementation on next update function.😊 Also
I am once again asking for Dutch East Indies DLC.
Thank you.
I really like this game!
Just in time, I downloaded the game yesterday!
Finally going to start using navy after 3500 hours! Thanks Paradox!
thanks, now i can finally learn to play this game and learn how to use the navy
Ive really wanted to get into Nation related games and HOI4 just seems like the top dog for that. Hopefully I get the hang of it soon cause this game seems fun when you know what you're actually doing

That division template, yikes, a bit of everything.
The name is top notch though.
It is made to be more of an example rather than "THIS IS THE META". :)
Now give me a tutorial on how to get a better Japan focus tree! Ngl this video was really awesome.
YES!
thank you
Deciding if I should buy this
Considering I had to google just how to do the tutorial, gonna need all the help I can get
Stellaris guide please
3k hours into the game and here I am, watching to see what else I can learn!
Ik this is very very late still it helped me alot 🔥
2 years experience in this bloody good game, yet I still don’t know what the hell is a screening ship and why my ships won’t leave the DAMN PORT
Just use naval bombers
@@Monkeyman-pt6gs
That would be boring…
If you want to learn how to use ships and why…
Look Mordred Viking Navy tutorial and/or his beginner friendly Italy play though. He talks all about different task forces how and why to use them and what kind of admiral is good to each type of task force. I did learn to love navy battles because of his tutorials!
Screening ships act as a sponge, they take the damage for your big ships and that icl tho I just use sub spams and naval hombres
Me after playing HOI4 in the last 5 years: Why I always losing naval combat & all of my DD-CL ship are gone?
Oh well now i can do a revision for my hoi4 strategies.
HammoTimme??? Cool to see that
skipped right to the navy section
How convenient i just got this game
Now i really need a nave templates guide
Should do a 30 minute lets play as a beginner country where you fight right away.
As Germany I had no idea what to keep producing or remove from production. Also had no idea why my docks kept becoming available for use.
Also how to keep ontop of armies getting supplies and having enough oil.
"What you need to play this game?"
"Read this cientific article and you will play very easy"
"Oh...."
Hey, can you consider adding that when Field Marshall makes a frontline instead of Generals, everyone from this frontline gains xp for the organiser trait?
When strategic bombing do you click on target buttons to prioritize those targets or to not target them?
Was fantastic when the game first came, out I was a demon on casual pick up games online, especially as the Wehrmacht. I've been playing an 8 year old pirated copy since around the spies came out because the game became so much to managed. Now that my favorite contintent to play as (South America) is now getting focus tree's; I suppose it's finally time to relearn the game and pick up the new DLCs that I've been missing out on.
glad i just bought the game
After 1.5k hours on this game when i only bought it after by blood alone i can say
I now know how to use navy!
fantastic game
What is the best setting in options to have the best gameplay?
hammo is cooking once again

Al fin podré saber cómo usar la marina
Many thanks for this detailed video! Nevertheless, experience is the best teacher. I think for beginners, to start off with a large powerful nation makes the game too overwhelming and a steep learning curve has to be learned. Would it perhaps be easier to start off with a small independent nation such as the Netherlands or Luxembourg? Maybe this would make the game less overwhelming for new players like myself.
Wake up babe HOI4 just released a new vid!
I dont have hoi4 but this video should help once im able to buy it :D
Big up Hammo
🎉🎉🎉
I have like 400 hours but imma still watch this
Better than in game tutorial 💀💀
real
now i can at least half-ass playing this game on the free weekend on steam!
Perfect timing for when you want someone to try the game for free and learn it so they can buy it at a dicounted price!
finally i get it
Literally just installed and need help.
Kind of hoping for a step by step introduction.
So is there another video i can watch.
Cause i am getting lost at the recruit and deployment part
dat's crazy
30:13
edit: i would have liked if you went into more depth in the navy section- e.g you mention at 31:51 that you need 4 screens per capital ship to protect them, but you don't say protect them from what- with the answer being torpedoes. This could have better segwayed into explaining the 4 types of attack stat (torpedo, light attack, heavy attack, naval bombing)
5 views? Guess Im too early.
This would have helped me some 6 years ago 😅❤
oh yeah, finally i can learn properly how to play this thing after 600 hrs!!!
I like to play as the smaller nations in this game.
Is there anything specific I need to know when playing countries like Cuba or Bhutan?
Random question here for the fellow commneters. How many of your games have been runied through a random nation joining the faction you are at war with. And how many games were also runied by a nation you declare war on panic joining a faction.
Its called World war but i feel your pain
I’m over 2100 hours, I would’ve loved this 6 years ago lmao
you know a game is confusing when you need a 40 minute guide for the basics
oh wow its hammotime

Sooo good tutorial (I can confirm with my 1700h:D)
Thank you! 😀
