Great game, MSU should be really scary come March. Same with Kentucky.
Not only does Sparty need to be ranked, they need to be ranked at least top 15. Going toe to toe with 2 top 5 teams in huge games and getting a win out of it shows their worth to me. They are amazing defenders and Tom Izzy is a heck of a coach.
@Jackson the WWE's Biggest Fan! nah they easily top 15. Three games in and they have a 1 point loss to the zags and a W against UK. Most teams have played at best one decent opponent if any at all.
@david baquerizo. You are correct that they should be top 25 but I would expect the AP to rank them in the 20-17 range.
@@andrewrundle6896 I'd expect top 15 for sure right now, but of course it will depend on the Nova game. If they didn't play before then, I'm almost sure they'd be top 15

@@GavinOCo exactly. MSU still has to play Nova before the rankings come out. Gonzaga getting stomped by Texas doesn’t help them either...and the Zags themselves play Kentucky on Sunday.
It’ll all sort itself out by Monday. Probably. But I could see MSU ranked as high as 6th or as low as 20th depending on what happens this weekend.

As a Gonzaga fan I was a little worried about the fact that we struggled against an unranked team. Turns out that unranked team should have been ranked all along.

This game was awesome, Kentucky has some dawgs but my goodness I am excited about this spartan team and what they can do this year. Just watch Izzo at the in bounds play at the end or the first overtime, literally just chillin on the announcers table having complete faith in his guys to execute that play and push it to another OT.

I am a die hard Spartan, but we were lucky to have won that game where we were unlucky to have lost the Gonzaga game. The win/loss were given to us by the wrong teams but considering they’re both National Title contenders, I’ll take it.
Msu is a top 10 team easily
I knew when these guys almost beat the Zags that they had a great chance to beat Kentucky. What a great win!
Michigan states execution was amazing Tom Izzo coached a great game as well Kentucky had a good gameplan but overtime they were outcoached and outplayed congrats Michigan state 💯

Yes Oscar has a great game but he was responsible for both OTs and the loss. He was supposed to guard Hall who dunked to tie it for first OT. Then he had the poor screen which led to him fouling out.

Missing free throws, Cal can’t get the shooter open and the best player in the country fouled out. Shot ourselves in the foot. MSU should definitely be ranked but Kentucky is definitely better. Cal just sucks
Didn't help that Cal had the best offensive guard on the bench for the last 15+ minutes of the game. Reeves is legit. I would actually put the ball in his hands for late game situations, wheeler can't shoot. They were sagging off him for the last 5 or so minutes of the game which killed the offense🤷🏾♂️

@@brickner55 to be fair, he has a point. This team isn’t all that flashy or filled with super talented individuals. They don’t really have a go-to scorer imo. BUT what they are is scrappy, well coached, and experienced which is what I think he was saying. And before you say anything I’m and MSU alum, just calling it how it is 💚💚

I’m liking this michigan state team this year
I hate that Kentucky lost but I will say that was a great game. I honestly don't know why anyone would call that an upset because to be honest it's wrong Tom izzo and Michigan state was underrated.he should've been a top ten team he's a legendary coach because he might not get top high school players like we do at Kentucky but he sure makes good players.what about won them the game at Gonzaga and won against Kentucky was izzos play calling he made some good plays in clutch moments. But I still think Kentucky will have a good season I really like our team so far.
Next year they have a top three class with the #3 overall player, but yeah as it stands this MSU team isn't full of crazy talented recruits. Sissoko is actually the highest rated recruit on the team.

I am a Kentucky fan who wants to talk to some of my fellow Kentucky fans. Give some credit to your opponents! Are there things we could have done better? Of course; there always will be. I am pumped because Oscar is physically good; and this team is only going to get better. We got nothing from Livingston, and very little from Reeves and Frederick. How often do you think that is going to happen? All that said, Michigan State did what they do and they did it well.
