It is called grisalle, or grisalle underpainting then you glaze with colors ontop. It is a SUPERCOMMON and accepted technique so no one gonna say you are doing it wrong:) Also, good Job with the clothing if you didnt do it before. Looks good :) i normalt do sensuelle nude paintings but i wanna start doing realistisk portraits and simulator to art nouveuo but more like vonnart does his art. And i want to have one sketchbook for ”magic” paintings/drawings, not only magic but it doesnt have to be realistic and some Will just be darker. It Will be superfun BUT i feel like since i’ve painted since i was a kid i ”SHOULD” be really good at it, but i probably wont be. I have Done conpletely different in the past. And my portraits was not realistic. And i Will have problems with mixing the right colors and Getinge the right hur and value at the right place. And adding imaginative light Will be hard when i start doing portraits without reference. And to be honest, sometimes you wanna be able to paint the place around them if that is a room or outside but i have NEVER painted a room with furnitures so i Will have problems with that too xD and thinking about that and the pressure i put on myself it doesnt feel as fun xD but i told myself i need to go back to the basic, and do stuff i might already know but in a different way than i usually do. But i Am having problems even just starting tbh. Now i Am supposed to order charcoal powder, some cheap paper to do warm up and straight up ugly exercises that i dont want in my nice sketchbooks and I dont wanna use my expensive paper for that x) Also I am sick, so I go to the hospital OFTEN… and when I am home I am in bed 20-22 hours each day… I am literally too sick to sit up more than 30-60 min. I need something fun in my life. I need to start painting again it’s just so hard when I am so darn sick and when I put this pressure on me that I shouldn’t even put since I never painted like that… x) And instead of ordering the supplies I’m here looking at your video LOL!! But it’s half valid, cause I’m trying to figure out which black ink I should buy. I’m stuck. I liked your video anyhow. Will be fun to see you evolve :) Imma see what else you got, but first I REALLY need to decide about the darn inks and do the order. 😅

They are crap and ther ecoline markers are the worst shit i ve ever tried

hi! love your work but i have a question, is it okay to use acrylics instead of posca pens on my 3ds? is it harmful for the 3ds?

You mixing ink it's different shades of colors cmy is the primary colors in ink not paints

a wonderful explanation/demo...just invested in Dr ph martin spectralite & hydrous inks, a new learning curve for certain, & wow!! bright colors...indeed, 1-2 drops go a looonnnggg way. Using golden airbrush medium w/spectralite works well to slightly slow down drying time & ii've added it tp gelly gouache as well tp rehydrate (also other mixed media mediums). your wonderful drawing showcases my fave way of pen & ink & color explorations, though mine are abstracts. and...w/art...yr never late to a supplies party...

Im worried about the sealant spray leaking into the ds, how do i prevent that? I want to paint my ds lite with my paint pens! Thanks in advance and sorry ik the video is old. Subbed thpugh 😊

I finally found a decent video on someone painting their laptop with posca paint markers. I recently found out that it does scratch off easily and wondered what type of sealer was best to use on a laptop to permanently seal it. I just recently painted my laptop and wanted to know how to permanently seal it. Thought about mod podge matte finish but have not tried it yet. The brand you used in this video has been used by many artists which I now have that to choose from between a few others. Although I want mines to be matte style and not a gloss finish because my laptop is a matte finish. Loved watching the process done in this video.

how long did the paint hold up on the 3ds?

They are not artist grade or lightfast according to a seller on Amazon Canada.

Ooooh I love these! I won a set in a competition. They are my favourite water colours by a long shot. Have fun with them!

Great work. I've only just discovered your video, just something to try if you haven't yet when painting plastic, give it a light sand with some fine wet/dry sandpaper and a good wipe down with isopropyl alcohol to clean the surface before painting. this will help the paint adhere better.

Great review! I love the pastel colors and the indigo in this range of watercolor inks. I’ve also found that they layer best on my 100% cotton papers.

This review is beyond excellent, artwork is gorgeous.

I didn't like them because we cant layer with them i color comics and i do lot of layering, for this reason i prefer colored ink instead of liquid watercolor because when the first layer of ink dry it wont smudge when we color the second layer
