So many good suggestions. Shaq, you are the best. Genuine, authentic, honest. You're one of the few reactors that I listen to the WHOLE video. Happy I found you.
Me too
That's a true story
Sameness
Yup! This is the one reaction channel that I don't get annoyed with 😂
@@SpencerA99 so true main reason I subscribed I like folks who are real.
I'm wife passed away last week
This is her song to her only son who is 9. This song will always hold on to the memory of the love she had for him.
My deepest condolences. Take care.
My heartfelt sympathy. God Bless you and your son.
So sorry for your loss my deepest sympathy

Ladies & Gentleman we have created a Southern Rock Monster!😂😂😂🔥🔥🔥
Lmao so true.
Oh Yeah what is happening ????😲🤔😀😁
Time to expand to .38 special, Marshall Tucker, Georgia Satellites, etc
Just wait until he discovers the Allmans.
Ladies and gentlemen.... we got em
Man, I wish I could hear these songs for the first time again
I was thinking the same thing. 💟
I was rethinking of the time I first heard it. My parents raised me right musically
Fuck yeah
Absolutely beautiful song.
You are the best Shaq, I'm so grateful I've discovered you and your channel my friend.
“Mama ‘bout to drop that knowledge!” 😂🤣🙂
Thank you for paying respect for the members who died in the plane crash, props!
Now that you’ve done Simple Man, Tuesday’s Gone should definitely be done soon.
Mama would agree.
Matt Bell I was named after that song ❤️
Tuesday’s gone is a great song to react to
Tuesday Skinner that legit a cool name. I think mostly due to your last name, it's has a cool ring to it.
@@tuesdayskinner4667 sounds like a name the news gives a serial killer, the the zodiac killer.
"The Tuesday Skinner strikes again"
I like it
Welcome to what was called back in the day "Album Oriented Rock"!
I love his vibe no matter what kind of music he’s listening to he’s straight vibin
he rly do be kinda vibin tho 😳
Yasss!
its like he have the right weed buzz for each song its pretty crazy how he vibe in all sort of genre man !
I'm right there with him
I love to watch you react to this great music of my generation. Just proof that music can speak to all ages and races. I am a 64 year old white man who shares your appreciation of music. Keep doing what you do.
Agree! I’m a middle aged white woman, from Jacksonville, like Skynrd and love watching this!
i want to like but i cant hes at 69
Love watching your reactions. You are one of the best. Keep up the great work. May God bless you and your family.
I'm 40 and love music. My 14 year old always asks me how I know every song on the radio by the intro rif no matter what station is on?
Great job
You won’t find a song from Lynyrd Skynyrd that doesn’t talk to your soul...
Freebird.... 😊
Except post plane crash skynyrd.

Lots of respect to you for the moment of silence. Classy
Word! Much Respect for that.
agreed, good dude
Nice touch in showing respect
I am a new sub because of that exact reason.
@@MP-zf7er me too..that and hes funny as hell
You are extremely respectful, honest, and open minded to these amazing songs. Keep doing what you do, man! It's great to see.
Thanks so much!! I needed this!!
He’s right. I grew up in the projects. Hood was all I knew. Gangster rap only made my life worse. Was the music good? Yes. However, living that lifestyle landed me in places I’ll never return. You have to be careful to what you feed your ears. Matters not the genre!
Truth, Barry. How beautiful to realize it - and these lessons are universal.
What we hear becomes how we think, how we think becomes what we say, what we say becomes the things we do. Stay positive, keep it real :)
@@Gav_Noctem keep your head held high brother
I can relate to your comment.
Welcome Home to the Country...We missed you. ❤🙌
This video hit me in the feels pretty damn hard.
My mom "dedicated" this song to me when I was born 23 years ago. She passed in August of last year.
This song reminds me of her every time I hear it, so super cool to see someone else hearing it for the first time.
Much love. RIP Mom.
Infsys sorry for your loss
Tears man
Your mom sounds badass as she had great taste in music. Sure she’s rocking in the free world 🤘🏽
May her soul rest in peace... She's watching you from up above and she's proud of you...God bless you... 🙏🙏
I did that with my boys as well. Such a great message... still relevant through time.
Dude, your positivity gives me so much inspiration, especially with all the negativity on the internet.
huntman1412 and in the world
This is exactly what we all need right now. No identity politics, just everyone being human. Hope this spreads like wildfire.... Great job....
TattooEDB yeah
Madness! We ain’t supposed to get along with the rest of God’s children. “They” cannot remain in power if we aren’t fighting with each other. You really need to find some fault with Shaq and his appreciation of good music and commentary. No, really, Tattoo I wholeheartedly agree with you! Our country is in trouble if don’t unite around something positive. Politicians (from both sides) know that if the “Simple” men and women ever find a way to live harmoniously “they” are in trouble.
Absolutely. Let's just turn off the 24-hour newsertainment BS and listen to mama. :-)
I was a single mom to two boys. This was my song for them. My youngest son passed away 2 years ago. My oldest son made sure this was playing at his funeral. Great song!
So sorry for your loss. We lost my little brother 3 years ago. I don't know your pain, but I know THE pain.
God bless you and your family.
Very sorry for your loss. Peace and love
Sister just both of her children the months apart last year. I lived them like my own. They were both killer by someone else, both young. I know how much u must hurt. I had to tell my sister both times. Then our brother died this past year on his birthday and two days later her best friend died too. I understand how you feel.
Sorry for your loss. No mother should have to bury their child. My mom has told me my whole life that she dedicated this song to me and she's almost had to bury me several times but I pulled thru and straightened my life out and I know she couldn't be prouder. But this song just always makes me think of her. We live 12+ hrs away from each other so we don't see each other much anymore but that's a different topic.
I'm so sorry for your losses.
My mom passed away in September 2019 and she was a single mom raising me and this was “our song” and the night she passed away I heard this song play as if I had headphones in thank you for reacting to this song man
My condolences to you my friend. This was my dad's favorite song. We played it at his funeral.
I bet your mom rocked
Sorry about your loss. I lost my dad last March and this song has really helped me get through it with my mom. Hope all the deceased are bumping this with us.
Sorry for your loss i lost my father at 17 im 34 now and many many times i wish i could speak to him ....like each other or not
I feel your bro its hard losing your mom just lost mine recently and this song hits hard for me
My son’s favorite song was I’m alright (not sure that’s the real name) from caddy shack. His late grandfather had a little gopher that played it. I randomly thought about him one day at work and the song came on the radio.
I love your reaction to Southern Rock. And you are right this genre can "heal" the soul my guy. The music and the lyrics touch your soul in a magical way.
I love Southern Rock. It is my favorite genre.
Fuck that. This music makes me actually want to commit suicide. Seriously I am truly not kidding. Idk why, I cant listen to music like this anymore as I get older. I recognize Skynyrd is one of the greatest bands of all time, and nobody since them has had their effect. But still, I just cant. Why tho.
I’m only 26 and couldn’t agree more!
I cried. This takes me back to the days when an older Male role model would pull you aside and tell you some shit on how life is supposed ta be. I remember those times and the people who have long passed away. I try to reflect on what they had said and live up to those expectations in order not to disappoint them. I miss them all. I hope to pass their knowledge on to my kids and hopefully they will do the same. Your dead loved are never truly dead until they ate completely forgotten. May their stories keep them around for a long time to come. ( legacy ).
killer fishing with Chris and friends ...so true. I’m 59 and this song always reminds me of the type of man my grandfather was.
Full of wisdom.
This track makes me want to ensure I am a great father.
Solid.
As a 15 year old I wish there were more people to do this for us and I wish there were more men not dumbasses here
I'm a girl, so being a "simple man" is a little weird but I feel the sentiment. Both my parents died when I was in my 20's and unlike most of my buddies, they were freaking AWESOME. They taught me really great lessons and just made me be a better person by their examples. I never wanted kids, but I try to sneak those little lessons in for my friends; kids when I have the chance and it's not too cheesy or weird. There's never a bad time to let a kid know that being nice and kind and working hard is a good thing!!
This will always be one of the greatest songs of all time.
I danced to this song with my mom on my wedding day. Both of us were crying our eyes out. It means so much to me. Love that you reacted to it
Brian Scott same
That's awesome
Oh my God I just found a new favorite person on TH-cam I'm 50 years old white guy and listen to Lynyrd Skynyrd my whole entire life this was the best thing I've ever seen

I will be 61 in April of this year, and this guy reminds me of the good stuff.
My son used to sing this for me.
Dammit! Who's crying? I'm not crying!

"Gimme Three Steps" about a guy dancing with another guys woman. He asked the guy to give three steps before he starts shooting. A must Skynyrd song.
Oh I love that song!

This was my husband. Every time I hear this song, I remember the kind of man he was. I really enjoyed your reaction and understanding of the song.
I like how when someone else breaks down a song you have heard 100 times it helps you really appreciate it again
Being from the south, I've literally heard this song a thousand times and it never gets old!! It is timeless. Such soothing and soulful melodies, and beautiful lyrics from the heart!! It truly is one of the greatest!!
Exactly
Agree with them words 100 percent being from Louisiana growing up on shrimp boats it was either Skynyrd or petty
Yes The Ballad of Curtis Loew

Saturday night special- Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Story time.
Fuck yeah
Dude I love you. This is my first time here and to watch you react to a song I have loved for over 4 decades just filled me with joy. Your reaction was so genuine. In my life I have always enjoyed turning people on to new music. In high school I turned my black friends on to black Sabbath and Motley Crue. In return I was educated on Prince and Cameo. I love learning new music. Your the best and now I'm a subscriber and a dedicated fan. Keep up the good work.😁

Just how I feel! 💕
TheFroggy1984 did you see his reaction to Free Bird? Like nothing I have ever seen. Bliss.
@@Pamela-ro8vh yes. He is so sincere and childlike. With a new toy😂😂😂
I GAVE this song to my son when he was in High School. Then, he danced with me to this at his wedding.
Texas Magnolia that’s so cute 😭💝
how cool dude..nice
Brad Morrison let her have her memory man lol. Same idea
@Brad Morrison You shut ur logical ass up right now ya hear
@Brad Morrison people give other people songs all the time. Writers/singers give their producers their songs to give to everyone every day, when someone writes a song about someone and sings it to them l, that's giving them a songs.
My DAD passed away going on three years now. His funeral card is pretty much this song. It's not exact. We had to look through cards and it was him it fits. I would post the pic. Don't want some funny business. This song man...tears me up. Keep doing what you do. Love it
❤️
This guy is awesome. He's more than what he seems. Really shows us all that it's about the music in general that helps us and makes us love it
I love you man! Ending racism over here! And that's tough!
Shaun Bernier Thank you for this fine comment
I generally think racism now is a myth, only perpetuated by the Main stream media! We all bleed the same color at the end of the day!
@@RearRealWheel your exactly right! I was taught growing up, you treat everyone the same, you are no better than the next person and most importantly you don't judge anyone by their skin color, whether their rich or poor!! I did just that growing up! Matter of fact, my husband's family was poor and wasn't blessed the way I was growing up. I didn't judge him or his family any differently and we've been together 16yrs. and I have the most wonderful husband and family I could ever ask for!!
It’s not tough to not hate people
For simple reasons. You’re allowed to hate people for how they act though , but not for their skin color ...that’s just ignorance .
@@RearRealWheel people are racist, whatever
I am now addicted to your videos, your reaction to free bird was hilarious I watched like 17 times, 😍😍😂😂😂 I'm your new biggest fan
I was gonna Like the comment but you said you watched it 17 times and you got 17 likes for it so it felt wrong to mess it up lol
Hey man, I'm sixty-one years old and been a Skynyrd fan from the time I was a early teenager. Welcome to the show. I wished you could have seen them live. It would have been great to go to a show with you, hang, have fun , and drink a few beers. TH-cam may have some early videos of them. Sit back, grab a cold one, and enjoy the simple ride. Keep putting up great videos that are enjoyable to watch. Later friend.
Phil Smith hey man, I’m only 15. I know this is kinda random but I always wanna learn and progress in life. I see your old enough to have a lot of experience in life. I wanted to know if you have any tips on living life and stuff. I’m personally lost trying to find something I’d consider to do in life to make a career.
American made I'd like to commend you for you willingness to seek out wisdom in experience. I'm not saying I'm wise, just experienced. That quality alone will serve you very well my young friend.
As far as your inquiry, there are a few "rules" for success I have found to be very beneficial. I'm only going to touch on the most important because without this aspect in your life, the rest don't matter. First I would like to give you a short synopsis of my life. Most of my adult life (until age 40) I lived by the same motto as Phil Robertson of Duck Dynasty. Life consisted of getting drunk, getting high, and getting laid. Made more money than most can image and had whatever I wanted but yet I was still miserable. The more I acquired, the more I wanted and the more unhappy I was. At age 40 I found out I was going to be a father for the first time and that made me look at my entire life and the way I was living. I knew I had to change but had no idea how. My daughter arrived and as I looked into her eyes I realized what a miracle this was and was amazed that I had been bestowed with such a great blessing. Having grown up in a Christian household, I knew what I needed to do. My family had been praying for me for 25+ years and God answered their prayers. Once I re-established my relationship with Christ, aspects of my life begin to change. Suddenly I wasn't so important and service to others became the source of my happiness and my love for Christ became my joy. You see, without Him, there is no joy. If you'll love God and love your neighbor, all the small details will work themselves out. I'm not saying you will have no storms in life. I'm saying you now have the power in Christ to get to the other shore no matter how big the waves are.
I have a few more rules to live by that are a bit more down to earth but without a relationship with the one true God, they just aren't effective. My young friend, I will be praying that you find the wisdom direction you seek. Continue seeking as those who don't seek cannot find. God loves you and I love you. 🇺🇸

This is the song I danced with my son when he got married. Words to live by.
Shaq, thank you for bring Skynyrd to a whole new group of people.
Yes I think his name was Leonard Skinard (something similar) from what I think I heard or read, the teacher got mad at them using his name so they changed it to similar sound, so they made their band Lynard Skynard
Darn auto correct 🤦🏽♀️
Savoy brown. Leaving again
The teacher gave them a hard time for having long hair so this was meant to be a big finger to him.
This is the southern mans motto. Be a simple man..
"Poison Whiskey", "On the Hunt", "Tuesday's Gone"..."Gimme Back My Bullets" & "Mr Banker" - Lynyrd Skynyrd! (1977)😎
I sent this song to my son when he was in the Air Force to learn on the guitar. He surprised me his first Mother’s Day away from home and played it for me. He was stationed in Germany. He was 18. He’s my only son. Love your reaction to it!
I love your story. I danced with my Marine son to this song at his wedding. This would be a good one for you when your son gets married.

That album was the peak for those guys musically, and its sad that we never got to see how great they would become. That song is perfection, and Steve Gaines cements himself as a guitar FORCE in the band, and in Southern Rock. RIP Skynyrd!

He is into music a lot more than a lot of people these days, you can tell he really likes digging into it
Such a class act with that moment of silence before the reaction, Coach. Great one as always, please keep them comin’! You deserve all the subs and praise you get, my dude. Speaking of southern rock and bars, because I know you love bars, while this isn’t my favorite Allman Brothers song, you gotta do the song SOULSHINE by them. So many songs that we call southern Rock were recorded by leadbelly. It's so important to recognize that.
@hezzi I didn’t know that about the song “House of The arising Son”

What I love about music like this is it isn’t just the vocals and lyrics telling a story but the instruments telling their own story. I can’t imagine writing music like this.

When my son was 7 or maybe 8 and i was taking him to school everyday, he had to hear this song, it's always been our song. The group Shinedown does a version of this song that will totally blow you away, ever get a chance give it a listen.
When Shinedown released that album I ha bought it for a man that I had just started dating as it was his BD. That remake brings back so many memories with him and we dated and stay together and had a son. That man is now my ex. My son is a carbon copy of his dad. And he loves both Lynyrd Skynrd and Shinedown!!
The version of just the singer and guitarist doing it at a house party is epic!

@@andrewchong1154 Yes Johnny sounds great. I've seen it on TV but never live. I'll have to try & see them if they ever come out to northern Ca. when that video plays w/old footage of the band it's so emotional. 😭😪
This is my favorite song of all time. It's the kind of thing you live your life by. Every good mother would want this for their son.
@@PeppaJackable yes indeed. I have this song for my 25 year old son's ring tone on my phone. I use to have him listen to it w/me when he was growing up & said this is my song for you. ❤💜
Sweet home Alabama is one of the first battle songs. It is a diss track to Neil Young's southern man.
