Growing up with FF I never realized how the harp was the perfect instrument to capture the awesome melodies. Your covers take me to that nostalgic place.
Glad to hear, thank you so much 💖 Heh, I probably realized it because soooo many amazing FF tracks had harp in them (Bran Bal, Terra from 9, the Prelude, FF4 Main Theme, Theme of Love, FF7 Anxious Heart, etc........)
I always, feel like floating when you hear the harp played so slowly. I recently played the pixel remaster FF3 and I wish the crystal cave was as beautiful as this on a solo harp.😊
I'd never heard this until now. It's beautiful but has a real ominous feel to it. The music of Final Fantasy has always been so good at giving you a sense of what that location feels like. Stunning playing once again. 💖
Ah we see who is the bard class. Good work as always. Amazing how pixel remaster alternates atk/def buffs to automatically go first and be viable against cloud of darkness (though if bard heals with an elixir or whatever isn't the slight bardsong paeon amount, that priority is lost).
Thanks! I....straight up forgot bards were even a thing in FF3 hahahaha. I pretty much ignore them in most games. Except FF4 when Edward becomes OP out of nowhere at the end.
@Harpsibored oh you mean by plot with Edward? I couldn't stand his solo bit in the after years. How was he in gba where you could switch late game? Though hard mode bardsong helps new game plus for 3d a ton as everything is too expensive to start, even resting at an inn costs 3 battles. His hide augment works with edges throw very well. Oh and ff3 bardsong always going first means faster job levels for the necessary 5 actions per battle (don't have to defend for 5 turns with 1 ally killing the last enemy).
I only played FF4 on the PSP and PS1, so I can't comment on the GBA. I can say in the PSP version Edward becomes an absolute beast at the very end when you obtain a weapon that does critical damage to basically,...everything
@Harpsibored thanks for explaining. A shame psp version never got added to ps5's/ps plus list of games (like fft with multiplayer unlike mobile, and stronger hardware to remove slowdown like ff9's shorter loading) as interlude and after years are lost and 3d after years I played, I believe was worse (level caps like tactics ogre reborn and 3d but took out ff4's voice acting and replaced augments with goofy moon phases damage) but not too sure.
An all-time great FF track and you've covered it wonderfully. The arrangement adds to the mysterious atmosphere of the original and I am LIVING for it!
Thanks for not forgetting this one. "A Place to Call Home" would be a splendid addition to the extended track list. I think "Winterlands" from Octopath Traveler 2 would be good too.
Oh man I really love the perfect amount of reverb you put on these videos. III is also my 3rd favorite FF game (coincidence I know). I absolutely love the whole job system. Wish they would go more in-depth in a new FF with it. Would love a Eruyt Village cover from FFXII... wink wink nudge nudge.
Thanks, I really appreciate that!!! I always worry about having too much reverb and the harp sounding like it's underwater, or having not enough and the harp sounding like it's..........well, in the room I record in. Hah. Wow, ngl it's kinda rare to see someone with FF3 as one of their favorites 😂 btw I'm not too familiar with FF12's OST but will give it a listen!
I want to second this! I just just thinking to myself how you used such a tasteful amount of reverb to make the sound more ethereal, floating and lingering in a large space bringing some mystery to it
Oooo, this piece reminds me so much of "Secret of Evermore. All the pieces are ambiance pieces and go well with the environment. Jeremy Seoul's first video game soundtrack. #HighPraise
@@Harpsibored Jeremy Soule (I spelled it wrong before) is best known for Elder Scrolls and has done music for 60+ games, but I am more of an old school gaming fan. Secret of Evermore is one of my favorite games, and the soundtrack is my personal 2nd favorite of all gaming soundtracks. "Variations on Castle Theme" and "White Castle" are his best from it.

FF4 rides largely on the power of the harp
Well, just found the music I'll be drawing to for the rest of the day. So mesmerizing.
Yay, glad to hear!!! 💖 Happy drawing 🎨🖌️
Awesome! This is such an underrated dungeon theme. I feel like I could listen to this forever! 😊
Magical sounds all around. Final Fantasy music itself is magical and so is the harp, but when you combine them together? Perfection
You've made so many tracks now! Many of my favourites! ^_^ It's like I keep getting gifts!
Please loop "A Place To Call Home" next!!! Crystal Cave is great but I adore "A Place to Call Home" so much. Thank you for the beautiful performances!
Gosh your channel is fantastic!

Thank you thank you! 💖💖💖 Although this is technically 3 harps hahaha.

Thank you so much 💖 glad you got a chance to hear it here!!! The FF3 OST is super underrated IMO.
@Harpsibored I'll have to check it out. Thanks!

@@Harpsibored Of course!
Always Beautiful
Thank you 💖 that's on my to-do list, although probably not for some time. I have a few other FF8 tracks I wanna do first, especially the Salt Flats!
OMG. I totally forgot about this song and how I used it as a background music to a game I was making when I was in college as a Dungeon.
SO SPOONY
🤘🎵🥄
waouu so amazing
Thank you 💖
Someone cooked with this!
👍
Takes me back to hugging walls in FF3 looking for secret passages, and watching newbies die in FF14 😄
How wholesome. 😂💚

Please show yourself when you play ! It adds so much to the music.. or maybe the editing is too heavy then ! =)
